One thing that has remained an issue are the RC tools which have been a problem since day one of using the product. Although improvements have been made, there is still some issues that need addressing such as remote sessions cutting out, lag, display problems for the end user, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Syxsense’s patch management solution stands out for its user-friendly interface that simplifies the daunting task of identifying and patching computers. The ability to quickly locate devices and deploy necessary updates without extensive manual intervention is a game-changer, enhancing productivity and minimizing system vulnerabilities. Additionally, the integration of PowerShell command execution directly to computers is an excellent feature, providing advanced users with the flexibility to perform complex tasks seamlessly.
Cost efficiency is another strong suit of this utility, offering robust features without breaking the bank. It’s reassuring to have access to such a powerful tool at a reasonable price point. Syxsense’s patch management tool is not only good for maintaining system integrity but also for keeping IT budget in check. Overall, it’s a reliable, efficient, and budget-friendly solution for IT environments that need to stay agile and secure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Syxsense offers an array of strengths, it does have its limitations, particularly in the area of reporting. One notable downside is the lack of customizable reports. Although the solution comes equipped with a variety of useful canned reports that provide insights out of the box, the inability to tailor these reports to the specific needs of a business can be a drawback. In the realm of IT, where nuanced data analysis is crucial, the flexibility to create bespoke reports is often a necessity for in-depth assessment and strategic planning.
This limitation can hinder an organization's ability to drill down into the data that is most relevant to their unique environment or to present information in a format that aligns with their internal processes. For businesses that rely heavily on custom reporting to inform decisions and to demonstrate compliance or audit readiness, this could be a significant concern. Enhancing the reporting features to include customizable options would undoubtedly elevate the overall utility and appeal of Syxsense's patch management solution. Syxsense has allowed our organziation to move to a modern approach to patch management. The best part of using an SaaS like Syxsense is that we are able to manage endpoints that are simply connected to the internet and has no VPN requirements. Our previous solution failed to capture and manage all endpoints as they were not regularly or consistantly connected to VPN. This is acomplished by a Syxsense agent installed on the endpoint. This is far better and provides more reliable patching versus WSUS. After sales customer support was redily available to help us get onboarded and to troubleshoot initail issues. The issues the we exprienced are mostly due to our organizations unfamiliarlity with cloud-based solutions. Others who are more familiar will likely not expreince this issue. The issue we faced was wtih the intial configuration and naming of groups, collections, etc. Since this is a cloud application, unique name requirements applied and this prevented us from simply replicating our existing organzatinal structure. While onboading and intergrating with Syxsense was easy, this was a minor understanding hurdle we had to overcome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The support is great. Getting the initial configuration setup was painless. I like the ability to create flows for patch management. We are currently in the process of configuring the security scanning portion of the applicaiton. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the features are not fully flushed out or polished. The UI makes it difficult to know what is a button, what is a title, what is a column header, what is editable, etc. Some of the features also work for a while, then break. It take a bit of time to figure out what went wrong, and how the issue can be resolved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We like the responsiveness of the support team, ease of use and features of the product. We use Syxsense on a monthly basis to help tackle the mundane tasks freeing us up to focus on more pressing projects.
