Top Rated Yelp Advertising Alternatives
Lots of people use Yelp- you have little choice but to participate Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Yelp will send you a "free trial" offer - but don't use it- it's a bait and switch. Think magazine subscriptions or gym memberships. For instance, you can cancel your Yelp ads on your phone but any add ons must be cancelled by computer only. Makes no sense. You'll end up paying more than you expected for services that are not useful. Did not see any bump in business the two times I used Yelp. It's embarrassing to have your restaurant show up when people are searching for something unrelated- but that's what happens. It's a sign of desperation for a business to use Yelp ads. Yelp makes money off our hard work and then rips us off and exploits us. A monster of a company. Shame on you, Yelp. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Yelp Advertising is so simple and easy to use. You can even claim a business if someone else has listed it before you had a chance to sign up! Yelp is the main way everyone can easily find your business and it's very nice and clean! It was so easy to implement Yelp into our growing business. We check it daily and see that our ratings are updated frequently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only problem I have ever had is if a business is listed multiple times and that can be a little difficult, or if businesses have similar or the same name. A vetting process would be a great way to help solve this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It seemed like everything was right in front of you you can check everything easily and the app seem to work easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The hidden fees in a word. I had a $300 credit to try out Yelp ads so I signed up for them and it seemed like everything was good I was getting customers asking questions and visiting my website so I canceled them at $270 only two and a half weeks into the month that I signed up for to make sure I didn't go over my $300 credit. I marked this off as a win and I decided that once the new year begins I will use Yelp ads again and then I got hit with a $70 charge to my account and they stayed at the reason was because the month that I signed up for there was a certain amount of money that should be spent for the month so even though I canceled it before the end of the month and even though I didn't go over my $300 amount there was hidden fees that equaled up to over $70 that was charged to my account even though I didn't use it. I will not be using Yelp ads again what I thought was a good experience was horrible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like having a dedicated rep for support and strategy building. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has not been as effective as other platforms for PPC marketing and it is harder than Google Ads to customize budgets for various locations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I admire that Yelp Advertising enables my company to connect with and draw in my target clients in my neighbourhood without necessitating my constant management of the marketing initiatives. My business readily attracts the attention of potential clients thanks to Yelp advertising. The platform is simple to use, and the sales agents were helpful in setting up our profile. Additionally, the customer service is first-rate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some customers believe that Yelp Advertising is extremely pushy in advertising its paid plans, and they believe that the prices for relatively inexpensive upgrades are not justified. The parameters for the amount of views required to produce actual business are also not well defined. The adverts may occasionally be shown to those who have no interest in the company, which can be annoying. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the option that Yelp has for their advertising and the different options you can select when it comes to your business budget. I also think the tool to find your business, to include additional information about your business whether it's women-owned, has parking, different payment options, and the ability to control the way your business previews to other Yelpers. I dislike that the tool to find your business can be wonky, it can take a lot of time to find your business, or create your business if it's not already created by another Yelper. I've had issues transferring Yelp Business pages to another Yelper/User due to business changes. I also do not enjoy the badgering about the Yelp Business Advertising. One year, there was promo for up to $250 to use on Yelp, and I found that a representative was calling every day to see if interested. However, they do not really put you on a do not call list and that's what bothered me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the fact that my business can be reached and noticed by my ideal clientele in my area without me overseeing all of my marketing Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm not a big fan of the pushy representatives making you do a paid ad plan instead of encouraging the free plan. The benefits of a paid ad plan charges for very minor things that I don't think is worth it and I would like to be able to have more accessible options to market my business how I want Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that it shows my business on other like business pages. The sales person goes over your page with you to help you set everything up, to ensure you get max out of your advertisement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I didn't feel like the ads resulted in sales. I did get more page views, but they couldn't show me the metrics on how many views needed to result in actual business. The sales people that call also feel very pushy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that customer service is on the ball with their phone support. They are willing and able to help you with features of the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Yelp needs to prove the value proposition in the form of phone calls and leads to businesses by using Yelp ads. They need to make that clear to users as well as show the ads in use and how many extra phone call leads daily you will get. Not just views. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If you have a local business, than Yelp can help drive customers to your location; especially if you are just starting out and need to get more reviews (aren't showing up enough in searches). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think they are crazy high prices for cost per click. I also don't like their sales practices. They basically require you to pay to play for your business to show up, and the amount of business you get for the price you pay per click is not worth it (although maybe some businesses would disagree). The thing i like best about Yelp Advertising is that it is a well.known company that reaches local business and companies. They are big name and compare to many competitors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The price to advertise is still overly higher than others, I feel as though if the company looks into this it was improve Yelp Advertising. It shouldn't be a big adjustment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
