Triplebyte believe the current technical hiring process doesn't do enough to help engineers show their strengths.

How do you position yourself against your competitors?

Our approach at Triplebyte is to view hiring engineers as a data problem. We’ve assessed over 200,000 engineers, and we feed the data from these assessments back into the machine learning statistical models underlying our process. This results in a highly accurate test of engineering ability. The assessment is adaptive (like the GMAT or the GRE), meaning that we ask different questions based on the answers that a candidate has given.

The assessment measures ability across a range of areas (e.g. algorithms, system design), and this data is shown to company users. Recruiters and hiring managers use this data to find candidates who are a better fit for their roles. The result of all of this is that our customers see an average of a 40% on-site to offer rate with Triplebyte candidates (about 2x the industry average). The assessment data also helps recruiters identify skilled, diverse engineers from non-traditional backgrounds.

What do you like best about Triplebyte?

Finding great software engineers is *really* hard. Resumes don't tell you much (anything?) about someone's actual abilities, and cold outbounding is damn near impossible. TripleByte solves both problems at once, providing you a list of easily sortable engineers who are actively looking for new roles. Cuts time to hire in half and increases quality significantly. We love that Triplebyte helps us find candidates who are strong on the dimensions we care about. Triplebyte's especially good at helping us identify candidates with non-traditional backgrounds who deserve our attention because of their skill. What do you like best about Triplebyte?

The quality of the candidates. We did not connect with any candidates that were obviously bad, as we did frequently from other sources. Most of the candidates are top not coders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There can be a lot of competition for the candidates. They receive numerous offers, so it can be a bit more difficult to close. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Triplebyte?

I don't like that the experience portion in their profile is not up to date a lot of the time. I come across Source candidates who started a new role rather recently, preventing me from reaching out, but I wouldn't know this if I didn't go to their LinkedIn profile. When using the platform, we are allotted the "Fast-Track" list. For some reason, the list doesn't update with the newly added candidates on top, it tends to show the same candidates over. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
