What's best about Sprout Social is that everything you need to manage and understand your social-media management and performance is all in one place. It's easy to access and everything makes sense. Sprout can handle multiple platforms and accounts, making it perfect for a small agency like mine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There can sometimes be issues connecting with accunts. For instance, admin privileges for one of my clients was with another agency which had gone out of business. We couldn't retrieve the passwords and privileges, and couldn't connect the accounts to Sprout. But that's not a Sprout thing as much as it is a Meta thing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The user interface, ease of use, and comprehensive tools are second-to-none. The social media scheduling, planning, and reporting are the best I've ever used. With AI integrations like optimized posting times, our special media platforms have flourished over our year with Sprout. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The investment in Sprout is costly. We had to cancel a few other subscriptions to make our Sprout line work -- while we're glad we did, we will not be able to upgrade our account type any time soon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sprout Social has an easy onboarding process, with reports immediately available for all basic measures for paid campaigns and organic campaigns, split up by network, by post, or aggregated for your company. It's easy to switch between different platforms and dates, add unique views, and the tagging feature easily lets you sort by campaigns and topics. Additionally, the Listening feature is nice to be able to get a bird's eye view of the chatter surrounding your company online; this adds a nice layer to our social reporting outside of our own posts. The AI needs some work. The social sentiment is routinely way off - so much so that we can't use it, though it's a feature we'd really like to have. There have also been some issues with being able to integrate Sprout paid data into Looker and our own internal dashboards (though this may be a legal issue and not a Sprout issue itself). The most helpful part about Sprout Social is the ability to schedule social media posts far in advance. It's very easy to go back to previous posts and duplicate them for the future. It's also great to be able to go back in time to a year previous to see what specifically was posted when and where. I am the sole user of Sprout Social at our company, and I use it every day. One of the downsides I've found is the Sprout Social app. I don't find the app to be as useful as the website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My favorite thing about Sprout Social is its powerful reporting and analytics features! The platform makes it easy to understand, in real-time, which content is performing best. Reporting to executives is quick and seamless, saving me time and effort. Plus, integrating Sprout into my daily social media routine was a breeze—logging in and getting started is as simple as it gets! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would love to see more insights from LinkedIn since that is our #1 social media network. For example, showing more of what competitors are sharing on LinkedIn. I think that would be super helpful! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Reports - Pre-built reports are great and the visual aspects of them are very helpful for when I'm doing reporting to people who are not in SproutSocial
Smart Inbox - Makes replying to queries and questions easy Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Listening - Really wish that the capabilities of listening were stronger for platforms like LinkedIn. It basically monitors what is already being captured in my Smart Inbox Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've been using Sprout for years! It's an amazing tool and helps me out so much as a social media manager. I'm a team of one so it helps me with scheuduling and reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The downside is them trying to constantly upsell you. They have a lot of great products, but we don't have a ton of budget for more. I appreciate the sales team doing their jobs but sometimes the hard sell is too much. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love everything about Sprout. The full calendar view of what I'm going to be posting per month is really helpful in determining strategy and what content we might be missing. I'm looking at the full calendar every single day. I'm a big fan of the weekly Sprout reports, which show how one week performed compared to the week before. I always take the time to look at those. They are a big help, especially since I'm pretty busy and don't want to have to log everything into the Reports section all the time. The reports section is nice. I'm only on the basic plan, but still get plenty of data to share with my executive team about all of our social accounts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In the publishing calendar, I want to be able to look back past one year. This would be helpful for me to know sometimes and make the reporting a little easier to do. If I did a report from 2 years ago and saw a spike in engagement on the day and wanted to see what we posted, I would need to scour our organic feeds to find the date I'm looking for. There are also some discrepancies in the reports that I know Sprout is working on.
There have also been some issues with our Smart Inbox. I don't have the ability to view something on the external platform if I wish to. This would be helpful because we have multiple Facebook accounts with the same name, and I want to see which one was mentioned in something. But there's no way for me to view it on Facebook, so I have to actually go to Facebook and find it. There have also been notification issues in the Smart Inbox with two of my other users. Notifications that I was getting, they were not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I primarily use Sprout Social for three things: Pulling reports, scheduling content, and managing inboxes. The smart inboxes allow me to keep the six channels I manage organized and orderly. The custom reports allows me to build the right data pull for any presentation or report that I need to send out across the organization. The scheduling tool allows me to easily plan content, move things around as needed, and even send content directly to my phone for further customization.
I also have always loved the reps I've worked with. This is now the third org that I've used Sprout at and the account managers I've worked with are always SO wonderful. They're helpful, provide personalized support, and are also always willing to try and customize plans for our specific needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish more tools were available for more of the plans. I.E. basic listening access that can let users play with the listening tool in its most basic form before deciding to upgrade further. It's a tool that is hard to understand its value without actually using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sprout allows me to see all of my social media accounts in one place and manage them...but that is hardly my favorite part about the company. My actual favorite part is the supportive team and the innovation that is occurring. When I started as a team of one, the platform had more features than I could even find the time to explore, but since our team has expanded, I continue to find more value. I dislike that Sprout has not solved the problem of not getting data from LinkedIn. But this is not unique to Sprout, and my hopes actually remain really high that if anyone is going to solve it - it might be them! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
