When onboarding into my current role I insisted that Sprout Social was a must for our social media needs. Being able to seamlessly post across platforms for large quantities of clients has streamlined my workflow and increased my productivity with ease. As someone who frequently uses social media channels, I find the implementation of features and access to support extremely beneficial. The Sprout Social Smart Inbox is an exceptional and unique feature which allows us to unify all of our social media profiles across multiple social networks into one place. Filters in the navigation bar allow us to triage mentions and in-bound messages by platform, profile, message type and more. Sprout Social also offers additional Smart Inbox features such as VIP Lists, automated Sentiment Scores, Rules and Tags.
As an example, we Tag customer service messages based on topics to understand demand, service improvements, social media content generation opportunities and more.

Sprout Social offers users the ability to use their Social Listening functionality, which organisations can use to track brand mentions, product launches, and industry conversations.
Unfortunately, Sprout Social use a wizard-based setup which has a limited number of words/phrases per Topic. This can be a problem if you have a name which is fairly common because you'll quickly use up the word/phrase count on exclusions.
For example, one of our locations is known locally with a short, abbreviated name. While this is fine for those locally, the Social Listening Tool struggles to remove irrelevant mentions.
