What do you like best about Sprout Social?

Easy to use, Intergrations with the core social platforms, consolidated inbox feature, helpful reporting, and great calendar view for all content being posted and scheduled. We use the platform daily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sprout Social?

Not as much support as I'd like for an enterprise account. To my knowledge we don't have a dedicated CSM to ask questions or touch base with. It would be helpful to have someone to remind us of the available features and share new updates as they come out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Sprout Social solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about Sprout Social?

I love everything about Sprout, so much so that I really pushed for it when I made the move from my old job to my current one. The interface is really easy to use, it looks really nice, and we're able to really have an almost "one stop shop" so social post scheduling. I use it every day, multiple times a day. What do you dislike about Sprout Social?

One thing I do really wish I could do with Sprout would be to edit the post copy for multiple channels at once when scheduling a post. Currently, I just "schedule and duplicate" each post, but it would be nice to just be able to just adjust the copy for each post in one go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Sprout Social?

The workflow management is great! We can set it up to manage everything from cases to approvals. I also love their learning portal and their customer support! We use it every day and it has been worth it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sprout Social?

One thing that gives me pause on recommending this product is their customer success team. I reached out multiple times to inquire about upgrades, with no reply each time (you'd think they'd want more money). I also was told that we would get a CSM for our account, but then they made changes to "up the threshold for which a CSM was required". That came out of the blue, which was honestly surprising because it was supposed to have been a part of the negotiation.

I love the tool, but can't recommend their support. You'll just have to decide what is most important to you and what the non-negotiables are. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Sprout Social?

The analytics are very robust and overall so simple to navigate. Love that you can separate paid vs. organic performance as well as compare from one time period to another. The granularity of Smart Inbox is very helpful for community managers who oversee multiple accounts across multiple brands/products as you can break messages down by message type, platform, source and tags. Customer support always responds in a timely manner and provides thorough step by step instructions/details to deliver seamless resolution. As granular as the analytics/reporting feature is, it is frustrating that you cannot view profile performance for organic only. I understand this is likely a limitation at the platform/API level, but I wish there was better reporting for organic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I haven't had a lot of time to dig into everything, but the onboarding was very comprehensive and helpful. Some of the other services we use email us constantly (to the point of excessiveness), but sprout, social has been great about the frequency of their communication. I have been having trouble with my login and password, but that might have something to do with the fact that we purchased the service for one user. I work for a small business, and i'm the first in-house marketing person they have ever had. Getting them on board with the value of social media has been a struggle. Spout's scheduling tool is simple to use and helps you determine the best time for your social media content to be posted to best reach your audience. The analytics offered help you dive deeper into the status of your content and help simplify how social media is performing to people who may not know social media analytics or data. I do not like how difficult it is to tag users on LinkedIn. Even when people are following your LinkedIn page, it is impossible to tag their profiles. Ease of scheduling posts at optimal times and simple, easy to read analytics.

Scheduling posts allows me to confirm with clients that the posts I schedule will not interfere with the content they are scheduling.

I've used other apps and sprout social makes it so easy to schedule posts and their analytics reporting is far more comprehensive than any other app I've used. What do you like best about Sprout Social?

Sprout has everything you could possibly need from a social scheduling and reporting tool. It's fully fleshed out with so much opportunity. It helps both our social media specialist but also our brand campaign initiatives and we can pull reports for specific campaigns or topics - it's a huge step up from the manual way we were doing prior.

One thing we've more recently been playing around with is the social listening, which has helped beef up our brand reports and better track how we are comparing to competitors across the social landscape (and what the conversations are around). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sprout Social?

Our onboarding was horrendous. It took over 2 months to schedule the meetings, and our rep changed in the middle without notice or much communication. Our new onboarding specialist didn't even know where we left off which was rather frustrating. We're finally on the platform, but still feel there is so much to know - hopefully we can take advantage of all the various tools within the platform!

There was quite a bit of a learning curve to the tool and implementing it among our team. However, we've got into a good rhythm, I just hope there's nothing we're missing out on!

What do you like best about Sprout Social?

The platform is a very powerful tool that we don't frequently use but see some benefit from different functions. Now that we understand it and have great customer support via our rep, it is a lot easier to use and navigate through. Our department uses it a lot more after some of the personalized walk throughs.

We utilize the posting feature the most but we as a company are looking to use Sprouts reporting feature to determine the type of content that we should be putting out by utilizing the tagging feature. What do you like best about Sprout Social?

As a one-person team managing all the email, social media, and communications for my nonprofit, efficiency and simplicity are essential—and Sprout delivers on both fronts. The platform was incredibly easy to implement, requiring minimal setup time, which allowed me to integrate it seamlessly into my daily workflow. It’s now a tool I use every single day, with its publishing and reporting features saving me hours of work each week.

Sprout also excels in its ease of integration with other tools and platforms, making it simple to manage multiple accounts across social networks without missing a beat. Whenever I run into a question or issue, their customer support is lightning-fast and genuinely helpful, often resolving my inquiries within minutes. It’s by far the most reliable and user-friendly service among all the software we use.

Beyond its functionality, Sprout’s Arb community has been a game-changer. As a solo social media manager, I’ve found it invaluable for connecting with other professionals, exchanging ideas, and building a supportive network. The Arb provides a space to refine strategies, ask questions, and celebrate wins with peers—something that’s often missing when you’re a team of one.

I’m consistently impressed by the resources and content Sprout puts out to support its users. What do you dislike about Sprout Social?

I would love to access Sprout’s more advanced reporting tools, but as a nonprofit, the cost is currently out of reach for us. A mid-tier option with additional tools at a more accessible price point would be a game-changer, providing nonprofits like ours with more flexibility between the current affordable and premium options.

There are also some challenges with ease of use for posting Reels and Stories on Instagram and Facebook. Tools like Storrito allow the use of native Instagram Story features, such as polls, stickers, and other interactive elements, which would be great to have integrated into Sprout. Music is another significant limitation—I can’t use trending audio and schedule posts natively within the platform.

The publishing calendar, while helpful, can feel cumbersome for specific tasks. As a nonprofit, we manage several programs sponsored by partner companies that require regular tagging in our posts. The current process of tagging these companies—typing, waiting for the dropdown, scrolling, and selecting—feels unnecessarily bulky. A feature that allows templated text for commonly used blurbs (e.g., “This program is sponsored by...”) with pre-set tags would save a lot of time.
