I like how easy it is to get help from SpotOn Support. The few times I've needed things added to the menu or any changes to improve our POS we've quickly gotten the help we have needed. Our health check in guy, Phil, has continously responded to emails and been in the store to see how things are going and does a great job doing so. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'd say the one issue I have really had with SpotOn was when there was an outage on getting our online orders from Doordash, Ubereats, and Grubhub through our integratuon Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The BOH for menu functionality and employee management is really quick and easy to understand how to make adjustments in order for staff to effectively ring in menu items. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We've had problems in the past with buffering when ringing in menu items. We also had a problem with our gift cards when SpotOn changed over this past year and we have to add "99" to the front of gift cards when being used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the cloud based system. I can update items from the workstation. I can access from my phone and my laptop in the store or at home. I love the Meraki device for internet backup. There are a lot of add ons and features. We use Reserve and like it. Didn't love Teamwork. Would like to see Schedulefly as a partner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Handhelds are not reliable. Competitor Toast has reliable and user friendly hardware/software that we see our competitor restaurants easily using. It is a critical item for us that this improve as we are working to be more efficient and reduce labor. Would love to see the website feature demo but have not received anyone reaching out. As well often a new feature is released and has lots of bugs still. We don't trust new features until many months have gone by. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Custome support after signing up
I heard that Toast offers a limited amount of support before charging
With Spot On, support has been unlimited
When the system is connected properly The only support I've needed is for my end. Like updating my menu or pricing etc. They do it all for you. If your super busy. Just email them and before you know it, these changes have been made Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is user friendly and makes life easier with all the options and diffrent equipment that they offer to help buisnesses be successful. Jessica is an assest to the company. We use our equipment 365 days a year. The implementation was ok it took time to work out some kinks but she was available and worked hard to help us. Having diffrent customer service people on the weekend to work on issues that are not familar with our resturant needs and and the functions of our menu. The implatation took some time to tweak and get all the correct modifiers and sides in the rite places . Some of the customer support made things harder for they did not know what was best they fix a problem only to creat more problems. Thank god for Jessica she was a savor. There are a ton of options and sometimes it can be hard to navigate their BOH system, but that's where our Restaurant Success Manager comes into play! Jonathan is the man! SpotOn's customer service helpdesk has the ability to connect quickly and resolve any issues that arise. The technology behind the POS is extremely powerful yet easy to use at all skill levels. Everyone I have spoken with at SpotOn genuiley seems happy and eager to help make my business thrive. I have never been a fan of paying extra fees for subscriptions. In today's competive POS market, I think company's shouldn't have to pay for standard features such as gift cards, online ordering, app integrations, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The absolute best thing about SpotON is how nice every single person from that company is! Admin people to sales managers to the customer service reps in Mexico City, everyone is so lovely, efficient, caring to solve your problem and give you best advices and solutions! One very small thing is that, when we enter a same item later on, when we print the check it doesn't combine.
Also I would love to see all items separated automatically when we print the check and show up in the order of:
-non alcoholic drinks
-alchohol
-savory
-dessert
But right now the receipt prints as it's entered and it can look very messy when we present the check. So for especially large parties, we are having to transfer items out to another table to create a neater check, and we would love that to be automated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
