Splashtop SOS allows for remote management capabilities when installed on a host and administrator's machines. Splashtop SOS has a wide range of tools that allows for remote diagnosis and troubleshooting. Installing silently is incredibly easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Splashtop SOS has a poor administrator interface. It can be difficult to be an administrator of the portal. Purchasing additional licenses can be difficult based on business size. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?

Very fast remote access and it includes all operating systems incl. mobile. I can brand the one-time connection applet for easy recognition of my brand. The business app that is required to provide support, can be installed on all my devices at NO cost. So I can provide support from the office, home or even on the go. Unfortunately, there is no freemium available. However, their price point is a fraction of other suppliers. In addition, they provide technical support by phone Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?

I can provide unlimited add-hoc support to all operating systems without the need for pre-installing anything. Their business app can be installed on any device free of charge. This provides me with huge efficiency gains. I've recently started a VIP service to provide support to mobile devices from executives. We switched from another well-known software because of cost. We are a telecom company that needs unattended remote access to servers, cell phones and phone systems.

What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?

I like that Splashtop has many options. I can pick and choose what I want to purchase and add more features later if I want to. The price is very affordable. A mobile device client is available too which is great for supporting client while on the road. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?

Adding advanced features like anti-virus monitoring and support for handheld devices is a little costly, but I like that it is an option. Printing to the local computer's printer works but sometimes requires extra effort to set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are a few other products similar to Splashtop with similar prices. Compare them if you will. Splashtop is a strong contender. I would leave LogMeIn out of the picture. What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?

It is user-friendly, especially compared to other software we have tried like Join.Me, TeamViewer, and more. It is important for us as our clients are not always tech-savvy and we need to save them the frustration. The link is easy to share, unattended access is easy to setup, and the pricing is the most reasonable we have encountered, without sacrificing the quality of the software. What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?

The most helpful thing about Splashtop SOS is that the desktop of customers can be shared in real-time without any lag or delay. As a support agent, customer satisfaction was very important and while the customers were facing any issues it had to be taken care of without any delay. Hence, Splashtop SOS helped me with that. Along with that, the support agent will only get access to the customer's screen only once the sos code is shared hence increasing the security of the customer data. What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?

The one thing that I dislike about Splashtop SOS is the issues that occur while there is a low network. While there is a low network there exists too much delay in getting access to the customer's screen which can cause irritation to the client thereby reducing customer satisfaction. The main problems that were being solved by the use of Splashtop SOS were customer issues. As a support agent who used to work for a product, I had to help our customers in real-time to solve the issues that they were facing. What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?

I like the simplicity for not just myself but also my customers who I Remote Desktop to. An email link that can be copied and sent from within the program. It's a very tiny download link for the client and we're done.

I also like the function where I can access my own desktop at home from my phone wherever I am without needing anyone at my laptop. 1 button and I'm on my laptop.

Price was point is also a factor in choosing Splashtop, they offered all the same if not easier features for me than teamviewer and at around half the cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?

There are no drawbacks that I've currently found to using Splashtop. For myself where I could go long periods without needing to use the software atall, I guess it would be good to implement a pay as you use system or a reduced monthly fee but that limits the usage, but I can understand why that's not a thing commercially. I'm a cctv installer and part of the commissioning is to add router settings such as port forwarding rules for my client to remotely view the cctv.

What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?

I use Splashtop On-Demand Support (SOS) to help friends and new clients who do not want to have an always-on unattended remote support solution running. For family and established clients, I have the Splashtop Streamer installed for unattended support. The biggest upside of SOS is that I can provide quick support to someone I have never met before, for example, when one of my clients refers me to a new client. They get the help they need right away, and I don't have to drive to the client. I make an appointment to go meet any of those clients who are close enough to become regular clients. Unlike TeamViewer that didn't get updated to work with Android 9, with SOS, I can remotely view cell phones and tablets running Android 9 and its increased security. I dumped TeamViewer for being over-priced and not keeping up with the new Android OS remote access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?

I wish that it had the ability to customize the downloaded file with a logo without having to their current process. With TeamViewer QuickSupport, I could customize it with a logo and some help text, then have a link to it on TeamViewer's web site. With SOS, I still can do the customizing, but each time I make a change or they update the SOS program, I have to get the file re-signed and I have to host that custom file on my own web site. It's not that big of a problem, but a small annoyance that I can work around. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For my business model, SOS Unlimited was a great choice. Some support companies may want to use Splashtop Remote Support instead. Their sales support team can help with that decision. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

SOS in both the one-time use app and the unattended support app has helped me tremendously. I am able to provide support to most clients, friends, and family from the comfort of my home office...or Starbucks, my office away from home.
