## Splashtop Remote Support Reviews
  ### 1. Fast, Secure 4K Remote Support with Smooth Unattended Access

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pawan D. | Technology Officer, Computer & Network Security, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

Splashtop Remote Support is widely praised for its high-performance technology, delivering 4K resolution and 60fps streaming with low latency, which makes remote troubleshooting feel almost like being physically present. It also stands out for its versatility, thanks to strong cross-platform compatibility and "unattended access," letting you manage and patch devices across Windows, Mac, and Android without requiring an end user to be there. In addition, it offers enterprise-grade security with AES 256-bit encryption and multi-factor authentication, helping ensure a safe, reliable connection when managing sensitive infrastructure. I love its fast connectivity & ease of use interface design.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

Splashtop Remote Support often lacks robust reporting and automation capabilities, which can feel insufficient for IT teams that need deeper, self-healing workflows or more detailed insights into technician performance. A few times, the drag-and-drop file transfer hasn’t worked for me, and that can slow things down. Additionally, many advanced governance features—such as granular permission controls and SSO integration—are gated behind expensive higher-tier plans, which makes the platform feel less cost-effective as an organization scales.

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Splashtop Remote Support addresses the problem of laggy remote sessions by delivering a high-performance, low-latency visual experience that genuinely feels like you’re sitting at the machine. Compared with Pulseway’s more complex, RMM-first approach, Splashtop provides a more affordable and streamlined setup that stays focused on seamless unattended access and strong multi-monitor support. For me, that translates into less time wasted on “click-heavy” troubleshooting and a more intuitive interface for straightforward, direct remote assistance.

  ### 2. Essential Remote Support with Stellar Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin R. | Photographer/Videographer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I like the file transfer and chat functions during my connections. Splashtop Remote Support has always provided me with great support, especially during COVID when I was managing a school IT system. The file transfer option is really useful as I can transfer installation files from my laptop to the remote computers ahead of time. The chat function is convenient when a client is at their desk, making it easier than being on the phone sometimes. Also, the initial setup was very simple. I've stuck with Splashtop because of the support I've received over the years.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

Sometimes the remote service stops or logs off without notifying me. If my account is logged out on the client side, I would like to receive a notification (e.g. email or in the app).

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Splashtop Remote Support lets me connect to clients' devices remotely, saving trips. I use file transfer for installations and chat for easier client support. The great support especially during COVID was invaluable.

  ### 3. Efficient Remote Support with Minor Connectivity Issues

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel L. | Technical Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I like how Splashtop Remote Support allows us to support our customers remotely without having to visit sites anymore. I find the headless access feature particularly valuable as it gives us access to servers without needing to be on site. This feature also allows us to set up headless units wherever needed without worrying about access once they're installed. Additionally, I appreciate how the setup was really easy and only took five to ten minutes with everything integrated.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

The connectivity isn't always as seamless as it should be, and sometimes you have to restart the streamer process. The copy and paste function sometimes fails as well.

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Splashtop Remote Support to provide remote support to customers without visiting sites, offering headless access to servers and flexibility in deploying headless units.

  ### 4. Incredibly Intuitive and Versatile Remote Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** showbizjosh40 C. | Senior System Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I love using Splashtop Remote Support as it makes it easy to manage all of our company computers through both a web browser and their dedicated app. The ease of use is amazing, and I love how quick and seamless it is to move between systems. The granular controls are fantastic, allowing me to adjust session performance metrics like FPS and resolution. Another feature I appreciate is the virtual display driver, which lets me simulate multiple display setups on a single-screen laptop, maximizing productivity. The intuitive dashboard is incredibly useful, providing a clear breakdown of operating systems, software versions, and antivirus status across devices. It's indispensable for managing our equipment inventory, whether online or offline. The tracking of remote user sessions is another helpful tool, aiding in audit and decision-making processes. Installing Splashtop is a breeze, and even the email link installation option is incredibly convenient, especially for remote machines. The cross-platform support is great, working smoothly on Windows and macOS, and though Linux support has its challenges, it's appreciated that it's available. I'm definitely impressed with the service, and I'd highly recommend it for those using Windows, as it's well-integrated and familiar to our staff.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I'd really like to see maybe a bit more of certain inventory things. Splashtop is really working towards getting better at inventory management, but it would be really cool to see some more options. Another thing I would like to see is if there's any other way to remotely install software through Splashtop. It's not something I'm exactly looking for, but it would be nice to see something like that improved. Also, installing it on Linux is an absolute pain sometimes because it does not work well like you might think it does. You might have blurry images, font problems, and scaling problems.

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Splashtop Remote Support incredibly useful for managing inventory and getting an up-to-date listing of all our equipment. It's easy to switch between devices, track user sessions, and its intuitive dashboard breaks down systems clearly, making support and auditing more efficient.

  ### 5. Essential Tool with Easy Remote Access, Minor Streamer Glitch

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roderick Y. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I like that Splashtop Remote Support is easy to use – I pushed the Splashtop Streamer to each computer using Microsoft InTune, and after that, remoting in is as easy as clicking on a computer. The AEM dashboard is immediately available for me to see each computer's status and perform fixes if necessary. It allows me to virtually be present on each computer, making maintenance and addressing staff concerns feasible without having to physically travel. Splashtop also helps clarify issues more clearly than Microsoft does sometimes, allowing me to decide whether to use Splashtop or InTune to implement solutions. The setup was straightforward; I just needed to upload the deployment package to InTune, push it out, and it was done. Overall, the remote access and monitoring capabilities are crucial and affordable given our budget constraints.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

The main issue I have with Splashtop not working is that a laptop can only be accessed if they are on, open, and the streamer is still functional. Often when the laptop goes to sleep, the streamer stops working, and the user has to restart the computer in order for me to be able to remote in. The staff are pretty good about it, but it's the one major downside.

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Splashtop Remote Support to manage computers remotely and enhance security, which is vital since our schools are in isolated areas. It allows me to virtually maintain computers and address staff concerns without the need for costly travel, effectively making my job feasible.

  ### 6. Essential Tool for Seamless Remote Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jatin P. | Head of IT, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I like that Splashtop Remote Support is our primary tool for remote support. It's essential for remote work, allowing us to not be in front of a troubled computer. I also appreciate its comprehensive feature set, which is constantly being improved or added to, like the ability to send remote commands without having to physically connect to an end user's device. This feature is extremely valuable as it allows us not to interrupt users while they work. The price point of Splashtop Remote Support is exceptional, and the setup was extremely straightforward, with the agent deploying as you would with any other MSI.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

The desktop console app for administrators sometimes crashes or hangs. I've noticed this recently. I hope they improve the reliability of it, as this has only been an issue over the last 6 months or so.

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Splashtop Remote Support is essential for remote work; it allows us to handle issues without being physically present. The ability to send remote commands without interrupting users makes it extremely valuable.

  ### 7. Unmatched Remote Access with Impressive Timeliness

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** AJ S. | Adjunct Professor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I like being able to log in without a delay, which is very important to us. I appreciate all the different features, including the ability to turn off the screen and continue working. Splashtop Remote Support is one of the best tools we use. The timeliness and timeline feature are crucial because we work with flying an aircraft in simulation and need to control the aircraft from abroad. The initial setup was very easy and seamless, and we've been using it for three years now after recommendations. It's been fantastic in terms of security compared to other software we've tried.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I would love to have access to BIOS early on. It's a challenge using multiple computers at once, but Splashtop works well with it. We also experience a lot of blocking from various clients due to access issues, requiring IT policy approvals.

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Splashtop Remote Support solves remote access and delay issues, allowing me to control aircraft simulators globally with real-time precision.

  ### 8. A Reliable Tool for Remote Work and IT Support

**What do you dislike about Splashtop?**

I dont really have any issues with the splashtop, its just that the UI of the Splashtop business can be bit better and good looking. but other than that the interface is easy to use, and customer support team use is on daily basis and we have no complaints there. The core functionality if the product is done perfectly.

  ### 9. Shady Billing and Poor Customer Care Is Driving Us Away

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

We used to enjoy their great customer support and willingness to support their paying customers, but that apparently all changed when they started making some money and gaining popularity. We were recently screwed over by their billing dep not giving us time to resolve a payment issue, and I believe it was done purposefully to get us off a legacy plan that no longer suited them.
Our bill to run remote support has now doubled and we are looking into other option. I would not recommend their services to anyone for any reason.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

Poor customer care team and shady billing practices that screwed us out of our legacy plan and doubled our monthly bill

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to install an agent to our in hours workstations and me to remotely manage and support the users on the machines.

  ### 10. Splashtop’s Clean Interface is great

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jay D. | SysAdmin, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

The interface of the Splashtop app is well thought out and simple to navigate. A big plus is anything in the local clipboard is automatically available for pasting into the remote device

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

Switching between screens when the remote device has multiple screen is easier on other remote software where moving the mouse automatically changes the screen

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to work remotely on a client's device is a massive cost savings, even if a client device is in the same city. I have several clients who are at least a 3 hour plane flight away as well as some based overseas.

  ### 11. Effortless Remote Support for Mixed Environments

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven B.

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I like that Splashtop Remote Support has the option to log in to remote computers via SOS. This feature allows us to leave a link on the desktop or provide a URL for customers to connect with us, which is great for offering support. The SOS feature is particularly valuable as it lets us invite customers who aren't already on our list, by simply sending them a link or giving instructions on how to connect. This flexibility is incredibly useful for helping people worldwide, even if we haven't previously connected to them. The initial setup couldn't be easier—it's just an installation, and you can also access it via the web. I find this direct and straightforward. Additionally, it always works for us, whether we're connecting internally or over the Internet, as long as there's an Internet connection. And I'd rate it a 10 out of 10 for recommending it to others, as I've recommended it more than twice already.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

It's hard to find anything I dislike about Splashtop; it has always worked for me.

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Splashtop Remote Support enables us to support Macs in a mostly PC environment and reach customers we can't access through SCCM or Jamf Pro. The SOS feature allows us to connect with customers globally, providing crucial remote assistance regardless of prior connection.

**Official Response from Sakima Ng:**

> Hello Steven,
Thank you for your five-star review of Splashtop. We're glad to hear that our product has been the right choice for you. We appreciate your 10 out of 10 recommendation and feedback. Thank you for being a loyal user and for sharing how Splashtop Remote Support consistently works for your team across different environments.

  ### 12. Streamlined Remote Support, Minor File Transfer Improvement Needed

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mitchell M. | President

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

Splashtop has greatly improved how we remotely manage PCs, MACs, Servers, and Laptops from our office instead of making a trip to a client's location. This allows us to manage multiple devices simultaneously in multiple locations with a single technician. The remote printing and device file sharing feature is great because it allows us to perform complex installation tasks remotely, perform installations, configure applications, test them. All we need is a fresh out of the box PC with Splashtop configured on it or we send the client a Splashtop Install link and take it from there. All this without needing to leave our office. Splashtop has drastically reduced our need to dispatch for support calls, saving on expenses, Insurance, and allowing our technicians to handle multiple tickets more efficiently from the office. The setup of Splashtop Remote Support was really easy once we tested and got comfortable with it. We can easily send a small executable file to the client that they can execute, send us a code and we can get on line with them and resolve their issue in just a few minutes. This vs waiting hours for a technician to show up at their location.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I think the file transfer utility could be a little less clunky. I would like to see a file transfer window open up on the remote desktop (if we elected that) and we could easier walk clients through tasks associated with the file transfers and better watch the progress of their PC's.

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Splashtop Remote Support to handle most of our remote support needs. Thus reducing Technician dispatches by over 80%, saving trip expenses, and lowering insurance costs. It allows a single technician to manage multiple devices simultaneously from the office location thus increasing Technician efficiency without additional personnel.

This software enables multiple users to remotely access a dedicated virtual server to run a daily process, which occurs four times each day from their laptops. This capability allows us to quickly review and resolve problems on the spot.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew J. | MIS Support, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2025

I am sure the customer support is on point, but to be honest I have never had a need to contact them. I really enjoy the number of features it has, one of my favorites being the task manager button at the top. Integrating it into new pcs is 1 click, and the install is super easy.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

The only thing I dislike, and it rarely happens is that I have had where it will log a user out of their account for some reason. Again, it is so rare that I have never had a need to contact support.

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Any issue I have via service desk, is a click away from being solved. All you need is your troubleshooting hat on.

  ### 17. Fast, Reliable, But Lacks Monitoring Features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael M.

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I like how Splashtop Remote Support lets me easily get access to customers, whether attended or not attended. Adding new customers is very easy because I can just give them a few simple instructions. The setup was very easy, taking no time at all to set everyone up. I find it reliable and very quick.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I wish Splashtop Remote Support had monitoring capabilities for customers' computers, like checking CPU speed, hard drive usage, and identifying heating issues or things that may need maintenance. It would be great if I could address these issues by logging in if something goes wrong.

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Splashtop Remote Support is reliable, quick, and predictable, letting me easily access customer computers, attended or not. I can also add new customers effortlessly with simple instructions.

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I love how simple it is to get remotely connected to users outside our organization using Splashtop Remote Support. The unattended remote access feature is incredibly easy to configure, especially for satellite offices that are not connected to our primary office via VPN. I appreciate that the URL is simple to communicate to a remote user, with the executable or dmg file conveniently auto-prompting to download. This provides a very nice client experience. I also find the initial setup to be super easy, with clear and comprehensible licensing, and the client software is very intuitive with a simplistic configuration. Additionally, Splashtop Remote Support has remained at a reasonable cost, even when other vendors increased their fees substantially, making it cost-effective. All these aspects have contributed to a seamless and valuable experience in providing on-demand user support.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

Honestly, there is nothing I dislike about Splashtop. It is a superior service/product, as far as cost, to other similar services that offer the same.

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Splashtop Remote Support for seamless unattended remote access to workstations, allowing easy on-demand support for users. It's simple to configure, with intuitive client software, providing a cost-effective solution compared to competitors.

  ### 23. Seamless, Best-in-Class Experience for Audio and Video

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikunj K. | Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

It’s seamless and one of the best, especially for audio and video.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

The licensing is complex. You really need to understand it in detail and clearly explain your requirements before you buy.

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We work in the education industry, and it’s been very helpful for remote support as well as remote training. We’re able to manage our lab effectively, with the exception of direct shutdown, which isn’t included with the education license. Because of that, we have to log in to each machine in order to shut it down.

  ### 24. Splashtop Makes Remote Work Effortless and Reliable

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric . | Customer Onboarding and Support Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

Splashtop has genuinely made remote work significantly easier for me. It’s simple to set up, connects quickly, and feels very stable even with slower internet connections.
What I really like is how lightweight and straightforward it is compared to other remote tools. It doesn’t slow down the system, and the connection stays consistent; file transfer, multi-monitor support, and sound streaming all work seamlessly.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

The only thing I’d improve is the occasional reconnection lag when switching networks or waking a computer from sleep. But that’s a small issue compared to how reliable it’s been overall.

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Splashtop has saved me so much time, especially when I need to troubleshoot, access files, or provide support remotely. It’s definitely one of those tools that just works when you need it.

Splashtop allows my team of 2 to manager over 90 remote locations across 10 different states.

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

Splashtop is very affordable and simple to use. It is easy to setup. It is much simpler to use than all other RMM tools that I have used. And with so many other RMMS using Splashtop remote access using their RMM make more sense by not using an additional product.

One big issue that really needs to be addressed is that sometimes clients have their own Splastop account they use for employee's remote access. Unfortunately, there can only be one account on a remote computer.

it is the core of my business. It allows me to do my job better and more efficiently.

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I use Splashtop to help manage about 100 client computers. I do monthly or quarterly maintenance on them remotely when the clients are not at work. It simply works. That's the main thing. The other thing I like is that it doesn't have any surprises, like big price jumps or failures. I have a few clients who prefer using their quick support, where they want to be there and provide me with a 9-digit code to access their computer.

In addition, I also use it to set up many of my clients so they can work remotely. It is a simple, secure way for them to do some of their work from home.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I do have some hassle with multiple screened clients. I take my notes on one screen, so I only have one screen left for the client.

1. Remote support for me. I can fix a problem in less time than it would take to drive to the client's office.
2. I also use splashtop for my clients so they can work from home sometimes.

I needed a quick, reliable and inexpensive way to access certain systems from outside of our network quickly and securely. Splashtop allows me to do that and is so much more affordable than other competitor products. I also occasionally need to access someone else's system to provide support and Splashtop SOS gives me that feature quickly and easily. I love it!

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

It is simple to use and I can quickly and easily handle multiple help requests at a time. Installing on my network was quick and painless. I use it every day, throughout the day. I also love the new features for endpoint management that allow me to keep up with patch management.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

There is nothing I dislike, but I am looking forward to more capabilities to set updates for our most commonly used programs.

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I support 105 endpoints across 3 offices as well as being responsible for software patching and updates. With Splashtop, I am able to remotely support our employees where previously I had to travel to offices. I am also able to set the updates for Windows, Chrome, and Adobe to run on a schedule where previously I had to manually update each endpoint. This has allowed me to focus on other tasks. I also like the software inventory that helps me see what programs are on an endpoint and whether they are updated or in need of patching.

  ### 42. An affordable way to help your clients

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Art E. | Member/manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I have used this program for a number of years. In fact, every time I service a computer I install it on the client's desktop. It saves me time and mileage and allows me to help my clients in a timely manner instead of arranging for an on-site visit at some time in the future.
The interface is easy to use and has rarely failed me.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

There are some featured of more expensive programs that I have used in the past, but I just don't worry about them since using Splashtop.
On rare occasions I can see the client's computer but the program will just not connect to it. Tech support has helped me a bit, but in some cases I find that the only solution is to use another program or to go onsite.

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mostly I am called for diagnosing a Windows problem or use of other software. Occasionally I need to download anti-malware software and scan systems. I also have used it to install anti-malware software as well as running system updates.
Occasionally I use it to show clients how to use their software.

  ### 43. Simplifying Desktop Support Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard G. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I am a small consultant that supports a variety of Non-Profit organizations and I need something simple for the end-user to help me help them. I have used other desktop support software apps and most of them are hard to implement or hard to use for the end-user. Also, I have found that Splashtop is very cost competitive to other Desktop support software that charge a heafty price for a similer configuration. The best thing I like about this tool is that I can basically support anyone on almost any device remotely, this is to include mobile devices.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

There are not many downsides but if I had to complain about one thing is that there should be an application that one could install on their computer similar to teamviewer where instead of having to go to a website to download the app, it could already be installed and they just click the app from their favorites.

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This allows me to remotely support my clients without having to be physically there.

  ### 44. As a distributor in Israel, Splashtop has proven to be a fast, and secure remote access solution!

We use Splashtop daily, and if we need support, please respond within 4 hours!
It is very easy to implement, and the integration with MS Teams is priceless.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

Customization options: While generally good, some users might desire more extensive branding or deeper UI customization options for the client-side applications.
Advanced features compared to higher-priced competitors: While Splashtop offers excellent value for money, some very niche or advanced features are found in significantly more expensive enterprise-grade remote support solutions.
Update process: A minor point sometimes mentioned is the update process for the client app, where it can sometimes interrupt a session or prompt for updates at inconvenient times.

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Inefficient On-Site Support, Slow and Unreliable Remote Connections, Security Vulnerabilities in Remote Access, Complexity of Remote IT Management, High Costs of Alternative Solutions.

**Reviewed by:** David M. | Director Information Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I've been using Splashtop Remote Support for almost ten years now. They have consistently added improvements that show they understand the needs of SMBs and service providers. We support five Municipalities with a small team of three technicians and about 330 endpoints. In addition to Desktop support, Splashtop has allowed us to roll out remote control capabilities to operators at several water and wastewater plants in a secure manner including two-factor authentication, segregation of access by device groups, and centralized management of operator access and credentials. The implementation was trouble-free. We find the inventory capabilities and notifications of software installs particularly useful, allowing us to follow up as necessary with our end users.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

Authenticating to Azure connected workstations is not very intuitive, but possible. It would be nice to have a role in the administrative console for an auditor function.

After installing this tool, I was able to handle all the settings easily without any issues or assistance from the new user.

  ### 47. Great product

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

This was recommended to me by a colleague. I got the business edition and it is great for connecting to co-workers that are having issues with their computers. I just logged on and take a look around. We have 6 companies and a couple of them are 6 hour round trip away, so it is nice to be able to connect to their computer and help them with a problem.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

Sometimes I have trouble connecting to the computer because it is asleep and won't wake up or the person on the other end has deleted the program. I would like to see if there was a way to lock them from removing the program or changing the login information.

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are having a lot of new employees rotate in our company, so needing to change out information on the computer to the new employee coming in and it nice to be able to connect to it and do what I need to do when they are so far away. It has been a great tool for me.

  ### 48. Cost effective cross platform on demand and unattended support with effective add ins

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

Splashtop fulfils our requirements to maintain numerous cloud and on premises servers, mostly Windows and macOS, as well as on demand support for our customers' end users, which includes with some IOS and Android devices. It is easy to setup and install and is far more cost effective than the previous systems we've used. Splashtop is used very day!

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I would be hard pushed to be able to think of one. Any friction we have is usually down to the operating system we're connecting to, rather than the Splashtop system.

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our cloud servers process data for many of our customers and we support their end users. Splashtop allows us to maintain the servers and quickly assist any users who contact us.

  ### 49. Splashtop has worked very well for us.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Support?**

I have been using Splashtop Remote Support for several years now. I use it to quickly remote into a user's computer and resolve issues or provide direction on how to do something. The show remote cursor and laser pointer option is especially helpful when teaching a user how to use software. I have deployed installers for each of our locations that automatically puts the PC in the correct group in Splashtop making it easy to install with minimal effort. I have also had some users need access to their computers for some out of the office work. I am able to create users as needed and assign them to specific PCs. If a user no longer needs the access, I can easily disable or delete the account. I use this software daily and am thankful for how well it works as I provide support.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

Some obscure programs may conflict with Splashtop causing it to stop working. This is fairly rare. but can be a pain at times. There are also times when I think that the screen of the remote PC is blacked out, but I find that it is not, which could potentially cause me to accidentially reveal sensitive data to whoever is near that PC. Those have not been major issues for me at this time however, so I have not looked too hard for a solution. (The blacked out screen likely needs different graphics drivers, I would imagine.)

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Something that I tend to forget since it simply happens automatically now are the alert settings. I can set alerts to let me know things about the endpoints that users tend to not report. I have alerts set up for high RAM usage, low drive space, and if software is being installed or uninstalled. It helps me keep an eye on what is happening with the endpoints and helps me to be able to stave off issues before they become a problem.

  ### 50. Remote support with Spashtop is fabulous!

**Reviewed by:** Ward C. | Software and Database Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

I've been using Spashtop since 2018 to provide remote support for clients, colleagues, and friends. Being able to see the screen of the remote user is a quantum leap beyond telephone support, and my ability to directly control a remote Mac or Windows computer is fabulous!

Setup on Splashtop on the remote device is straightforward for even low-tech users.

**What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Support?**

Remote setup of Splashtop SOS on a Mac is a bit tricky due to macOS security precautions.

**What problems is Splashtop Remote Support solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Spashtop makes remote support of clients, colleagues, and friends a dream. My ability to manage unattended remote computers saves a lot of my time.
