What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Access?

The connections are high resolution and very fast. I really like the features available in the toolbar when connected to a remote computer. Also, the wake-up option in the mobile app has been incredibly helpful. The interface is easy to use and low-profile so it's not distracting at all. It's almost impossible to tell that I'm using a remote computer because it looks and acts just like normal! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Access?

The wake-up option doesn't work in the desktop app and there have been a couple of times that it doesn't work in the mobile app. However, this is a feature that has never worked on other products I've tried, so I'm used to working around that. The fact that it works most of the time from the mobile app has been an incredible addition to my workflow! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Splashtop Remote Access:

Splashtop Business Access is the best remote access software I've found. It works better than others I've tried and it's much less expensive (can't beat that combo!) The wake-up feature in the mobile app is incredible and the resolution of the remote connections is the best I've ever seen. It's definitely worth the investment to upgrade to Splashtop Business Access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Splashtop Remote Access solving and how is that benefiting you?

The laptop that I use for travel isn't very well equipped, so trying to use intense Adobe software on it was a nightmare. Being able to access my fully-equipped desktop computer is like a dream! It makes it so easy to pick up from where I left off, even when I'm not in the office. I literally can work from anywhere now! Also, the wake-up feature has made it much easier to ensure that I'm able to access my desktop computer when I need it. That's a surprisingly hard feature to find, so I was thrilled when I found it with Splashtop at such a great price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Splashtop solving and how is that benefiting you?

I need to view IoT devices that are connected to a remote PC (three or 4), aside from viewing our use required command and control of these IoT gadgets. Finally we need to receive streaming audio from one of the items we connect to remotely. Splashtop works perfectly for this and is easy to setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Access?

There's a lot to like about Splashtop Business Access. Mostly, I like the reliability - connections are there when you need them. I also like the speed and quality of the connections. And... there is a variety of ancillary products (e.g. SOS) that enhances the value of the products and services. Splashtop is also a good value, especially when compared to other products, like Teamviewer. I've been a Splashtop user since the company started and I don't think anything would get me to switch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Access?

There are no glaring deficiencies in the Splashtop Business Access product. Prior to the latest versions, updates weren't alerted automatically (for the Business Access Product or the "Streamer"),,, but, for the past year or so, updates are alerted and easy to install. And... they keep adding features (e.g. copy and paste with the clipboard, instead of requiring "File Transfer") that save time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Splashtop Remote Access solving and how is that benefiting you?

The control panel allows me to support multiple computers. I love the ability to assign groups... makes it faster to handie urgent problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Access?

The program is very functional and quite useful. The support is quite responsive -- I've received personal help with a problem I had with one machine.

I use the remote computer settings button, to see what the status is before I log in. I also use the remote version update for splashtop streamer.

One great feature that was recently added was showing dual screens simultaneously, side by side. This is a great improvement. When I access a dual-screen machine from a dual-screen. Great feature.

The fact that I can access any number of machines is a real plus.

I have used splashtop for many many years, and it has been an even better program than the previous one I was using.

Great program!

Blessings and thanks! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Access?

I don't even dislike the fact that I have to pay for it. It is such a great value! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Splashtop Remote Access:

This is a cost-effect solution that provides all of the functions necessary to provide top-flight support for your employees, family, and everyone else you need to support. The tech support is very responsive and helpful. I've compared it to other solutions, and it fits my needs to a "T". Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Splashtop Remote Access solving and how is that benefiting you?

I have a number of friends and family that I support. Some I log in unattended, and some with their interaction. I have been able to fix some very complex problems using Splashtop Business.

I try to wait till they haven't been using it for several hours, and supply stop shows me how long it's been inactive. Great feature! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Access?

My team and I use Splashtop Business Access as a remote file sharing and backup solution. We can all access the host computer without issue and keep our files up to date via file transfer. It's a very reliable solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Access?

One recent change I don't care for is found in the file transfer window. I had come to rely on the contents of both lists to be the same size so I could quickly compare the lists. Recently, the size of the text is slightly smaller in the server side and I have a harder time comparing the contents of both my local computer and the remote server. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Splashtop Remote Access solving and how is that benefiting you?

Splashtop Business Access provides my team and me remote access to our file server/archive. The server runs all of our apps so we can remotely view an archived file and make quick changes as necessary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Access?

Splashtop makes it easy for me to assist my clients in real time. I work with several people who struggle with technology; Splashtop allows me to log in and handle issues for them quickly and without frustration. It's easy to install and I especially like being able to transfer files and print directly from my client's computer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Access?

I have been using Splashtop for several years and I have no complaints. If you do run into issues, support is quick and thorough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Splashtop Remote Access solving and how is that benefiting you?

When a client calls with a question, usually involving QuickBooks, I can jump on and see exactly what the problem is. I can walk them through it or fix it directly. Before Splashtop there would be a lot of frustration trying to talk someone through an issue; especially with my older clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Access?

It works much more often that Teamviewer did. We had a lot of issues with Teamviewer and they seemed to not care. I have had no problems with Splashtop. Good customer support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Access?

It is easier to type on you local desktop and cut and paste copy to the remote. It is hard to see your mouse curser. We did not get a notification to renew. When we did, for some reason we are now getting a lot of email. Including emails to do surveys like this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Splashtop Remote Access?

I use Splashtop on an almost daily basis to remote into both Windows and Mac systems. The Splashtop streamer is very efficient, allowing high-quality remote desktop sessions. This is so good that you can watch a video (e.g., YouTube) over a remote connection with little to no degradation in quality. I use a mix of Windows and MacOS systems, and the support for both the streamer (target system) and the client is great on both. I have also used the Linux streamer. It is good, but probably a step or two behind the Mac and Windows streamers.

Setting up Splashtop is a breeze. You can effortlessly create a package from your online account, which can then be downloaded to the system you wish to remote into. This streamlined process makes setup a turnkey operation, eliminating any potential headaches.

Security is always a factor when opening up remote access to systems. Splashtop provides two-factor authentication (2FA) out of the box. I highly recommend turning this on. I hope that Splashtop expands the available factors in the future (Passkeys, FIDO2/Yubikeys). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Splashtop Remote Access?

The biggest frustration I have with Splashtop is the access model. I work from various laptops and desktop systems. If I leave a connection open on my desktop during the day and then I am working from my laptop, I cannot open a connection. I have to go in and force a disconnect of the existing system. It would be nice if it would just connect and allow the second connection, but I am assuming this breaks the Splashtop licensing model. An alternative would be to make it a one-step process, where connecting to a system that already has a connection would prompt you to disconnect the other session (instead of having to go into settings and force the disconnect and wait for it to happen).

I can live with the Splashtop subscription's 10-host limit. I would just like to see a better solution for accessing those 10 hosts from different systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Splashtop Remote Access solving and how is that benefiting you?

Access to lab machines (headless) Windows Server and MacOS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
