The best thing about Sift is being able to easily understand all the different skills, talents, interests, and abilities that exist in your company - beyond a traditional org chart or directory. Taking advantage of your options to consult with your account reps can really open up your mind to creative ways to engage and utilize Sift as a tool. My favorite is doing a little scavenger hunt for new hires to get them acclimated with both the tool and with key figures within the organization simultaneously. Another creative way to leverage the tool is in support of remote workforces who don't have the benefit of in-person connections and collaborations. Using Sift to find business partners and explore resources has been invaluable to our organization.
I also LOVE that Sift is SMART. The interface does approximate/relative results when you enter partial data, which is very helpful when using the platform "blind" (as in not knowing exactly who or what you're looking for, but having a Blue's Clue to begin with). Seems like a simple thing until you have to figure out exact who does what and supports a specific platform or tool, and all you have is the tool name, but no team or team member name. Try searching "IT" or "Technology Team" in your medium-sized company directory and see what happens, lol. But I can search terms like "Salesforce" and Sift will search all the data points within a profile to produce a narrower list of folks that might be able to meet my needs. Or the classic use case of knowing how to say a name but not spell it...partial search ability even helps with that!
Something else that makes Sift great is their commitment to improving the tool. It's grown leaps and bounds in the years our organization has been using it...often in ways that I hadn't even realized. Integrating things like seating assignments and adding the pronunciation recording are just a couple of noteworthy improvements. They constantly survey their clients for feedback (like this survey) and implement many of the great recommendations they receive. Continuing to showcase capabilities and new features, not just to their organizational reps, but even at the user level, will definitely be an advantge for Sift. The challenge with Sift is that it's only as good as the engagement of the folks in the organization. I don't have any dislikes, but one thing that would be cool is if Sift integrated with your HCM/CRA/etc to recognize when folks change roles, companies, titles, etc - and proactively prompted/required you to update the data that's connected to that change.
For example, if I change business areas from HR to Technology, my "Skills", "What I Do Here", and other areas are likely going to change. Yes, Sift will automatically update your title, team, etc, but getting an email or some other notification prompting you to update those specific areas would be cool. Perhaps that happens already and I'm just unaware, but that would be cool.
It would also be cool to add in some of that social network capability that identifies and proactively shares new users with you that have similar interests or skills. Once again, perhaps an existing feature that I'm not privy to, but would be cool to get an email ever so often that says 'Hey, there are 5 new folks at your organization that also love the Detroit Lions! Click here to see who they are and connect!" And then maybe it has a link that automatically curates that list to you, or allows you to change the search term to something else so that folks can explore on their own.
If I had to point out any type of a "dislike" with the tool, it's perhaps that the integration as designed with our organization takes a day or two to update with any changes. This creates a slight gap in real time data visibility. Again, nothing crazy, but if approved changes could reflect immediately in Sift, that would be awesome! I'm sure that's not entirely Sift's responsibility, but just another area of improvement I noted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have been in my company for 5 years and am looking at shifting careers within the organization. Sift has helped me incredibly in learning about various divisions, team members, and overall networking. I can use it to find a team member and reach out to schedule a shadow session to learn more about their role. It's easy to find others with similar interests to me with the search function. Previously, I used it maybe 3x a week to confirm roles within the organization as I saw a name in our programs, and now I'm using it at least once, sometimes twice a day! It's difficult for me to pinpoint anything that I truly dislike about Sift.
One thing that has recently been a challenge for me is that when a search is "highlighting" the same terms I used, it's almost invisible on the page. I'm sure that once I reach out to Support about it, they'll review the issue and will work to make it better.
Sometimes when viewing the Org Chart, it's so expansive that I have trouble keeping up. It just takes a few click and drags to get me back to where I was looking. It's laid out well - might be just user error, haha. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I am a recruiter, so it help me learn about our leaders or team members more. Its helps me find answers/the right people to get me the right information at a much faster clip. I love that it share contact info and is like an internal bio of team members.
Its can be used for so many applications.

So easy to use, the funcitionality is so self taught Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing I dislike, its more so "I wish" it did this or that. Like I wish it plugged into other systems we had, like headcount or open seats on a team for tracking.
I would if it could intgrate with our ATS or become an ATS for talent communities.
I think it could become a stronger networking tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sift is awesome product. It has a great user interface, its very fast, informative, easy to integrate with any other product.
Its easy to build an integration with Sift.
I use this product lot of times in a day and I always find it helpful.
The best thing I like about Sift is looking at the team members hierarchy, and the search performance - its awesome! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't think of anything that I don't like in sift - its wonderful product.
Just an idea - it would be good if we can have a place to link our Linkedin profile from Sift as an option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy to see who is on what team, what they focus on and connect a face with a name. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish some people updated their profile more often - or if it was auto populated. While most people have their profile filled in, there are some that don't have a the details on their profile so it isn't clear what specific things the person focues on within the team Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It helps me keep up with not only my team but other employees throughout our network. Anytime someone asks me who someone is I can pull this up and actually show them. Need to know a birthday without letting someone know that you forgot? Right there. Need a tshirt size and dont want to make someone uncomfortable by asking? No problem, its in sift. It would be nice to make it a requirement to upload a picture of yourself when creating the profile. We have had to chase some people up to get that done. Otherwise, i cant think of anything negative. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love that I can search peoples interests, skills, hobbies, etc. and make friends! I have made several friends this way as well has having questions answered. Other competitors I've experienced aren't as organized or have as many options as Sift does. I like that you can also add your pronouns so you can respect others! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the org chart, but I feel like there could be a better way to view it. For me when it comes up there is a lot of people that come up, but that could also just be a me problem! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best thing about SIFT is having the opportunity to learn more about my peers and their interests outside of the workplace! Great way to make connections. Easy to navigate and use daily when trying to find the best way to connect with individuals who are not in my department. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There isnt much to dislike! However, I think uploading photots could be done with more ease. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As an Internal Communication Specialist, I use Sift constantly - sometimes upwards of 10+ times per day. It is a borderline life-changing program for my work and I find myself wondering how organizations who don't have a Sift equivalent get by without it! I love how easy it is to find what I need (and what I don't necessarily need, but would like to know nonetheless) - and I love that it makes it possible to get to know someone a litle bit before you even meet them. It definitely aids in forming strong connections! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would say that I wish Sift was more integrated with Slack (would love if you could click into someone's Sift profile via their Slack profile). I also wouldn't be mad about more customization options in Sift - like the availability to add some creative flair (different color schemes, embedded playlists, etc.) to our profiles. I love it! It allows us to naviagate the directory very easily and look at other options such as hobbies and allows us to reach out to other folks that like the same thing Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I LOVE IT!! no complaints here!! :) :) .. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sift, is such an easy platform to keep your teams connected especially when across various locations. It allows you to understand org charts, see teammates role, and learn about them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
