It is my first choice as a crash reporting tool for web, mobile and games.
It has support for the latest languages such as JavaScript, Ruby, Python, PHP, and Node.js.
It shows me the exact performed actions from the users which has led to the crash and thus providing a deep insight for the actions as well as the related workflows which have caused the error and definitely it is of great use for me to debug the problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It will provide you with lots of features but when it comes to the trail of events it may fail helping you.
It is surely not helpful for you to show a historical event of errors and bugs which have occurred.
If you want to capture other issues with the code, you cannot expect much from the tool with that too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Because of how well it integrates with Java, I was able to incorporate it without drastically altering our code, which greatly increased its acceptance with us. With the application performance monitoring tool, we have been able to streamline processes and identify bottlenecks that were previously invisible without more advanced technology. Its real-time error detection and reporting capabilities, which are critical for all our Java projects, have become an integral part of our development process. Thanks to real-time notifications that include full details of errors, the exact line of code where the error occurred and the context of the problem, we no longer have to spend so much time debugging the code. A few of the team's developers needed some time to adjust to their new workflow before we could properly configure the notification rules and tailor reports to our requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sentry is the best solution I've used for tracking errors across our sites. The setup is super simple (at least in our case) and it has plenty of config options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Pricing structures could be a bit better, but it's no worse than competitors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've had a few issues, middle of the night alerts at work that without sentry, I'd have had a very confusing time to solve.
The fact it pointed me to the pain point and let me see what the user saw was invaluable Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing much, thankfully. They've been there for me when needed! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the fact that it's extremely straightforward to use. has amazing tools like replays etc that have made debugging my react native applications very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
there's a little bit of delay on error getting shown in the dashboard. but super managable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The depth of information for bug resolution in the code is impressive. Sentry provides granular yet simple insights into these details. The best part is that it's plug-and-play, allowing you to implement it in just minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There aren't many plan options. Unfortunately, application insights are only available in the Business plan. The entry price might not be feasible for those just starting out with something small. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability and philosophy of giving developers ownership of their code from end-to-end. The integrations especially with GitHub and related workflows are extremely powerful if leveraged correctly. They are always improving and open to suggestions, and they are open source! Enterprise support is amazing and it is extremely easy to use, most setups are minor and quick to implement. The budget management for "noisy" projects in a larger organization are problematic, they need to add a monthly hard stop limit of budget to projects (and alert on it) rather than the reserved allocation (essentially they did it in reverse). Along with that, improving how the JavaScript SDK is easily used with micro-frontends would be helpful but that is a relatively new technology (though it's growing in adoption quickly). Sentry saves me when a problem emerges outside of test coverage: I know about bugs to at make it to production as soon as they happen and get a crystal-clear view into why they happen. They've even got an experimental ai solutions feature that has worked quite well! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can't think of anything that I dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's a very intuitive and easy to use tool. It works with a lot of coding languages, helping to create safe and robust code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Really nothing. I think that is a great tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It works! It's easy to maintain as self-host ( there is separate repo for it)
There are increasing number of debug helping features (replays and profiling).
Nicely integrates with SSO. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When self-hosting it consists of around 30 containers and some of them "fail" quietly that results in explosions when you dont expect. Yet still happens rather rarely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We use Sentry to monitor our integration with external applicant tracking systems (ATS), and it has proven indispensable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sentry meets our needs exceptionally well, and any minor challenges we encounter are quickly resolved, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
