Searchspring has truly improved the search functionality on our website. They offer a vast array of features to help us merchandise our products based on very specific criteria. We were even able to set up mini-stores for our customers, where they can just search for a keyword (such as a company name) and see a specific set of products. This saves our customers a lot of time and provides a more personalized experience on our store.
The Searching support team is extremely responsive and they even assisted us to fix a bug that was related to an entirely different app. That bug was preventing our website from functioning and they quickly provided support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing that I dislike. Just looking forward to the upcoming AI capabilities and a bit impatient about that. :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I understand and support a "ticket support" system, but really enjoy having a "contact" I can email/call when I need to hash something out. Even if just to get input on something before submitting a ticket. So that is great. Plus, tickets get resolved quickly, or at least updated if will take time to fix an issue. Which I like, as they are communicating to keep me informed. They also offer a ton of faceting and sorting options, but what works the best is the ease of adding new ones and Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not to be "team SearchSpring," but they were easy to work with. I don't have anything that stands out of dislike. Cost is what I expect for the level of service/product I'm getting. So... not cheap, but I'm getting what I pay for. I would say, the more AI and robust learning is rolling out, so not having it "from the start" is a dislike, but it is moving along at an acceptable speed for me. Customer care can take a bit sometimes.. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Merchandising search results and synonyms. I really like one-way synonyms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Automatic Indexing frequency. I'd like to be able to constantly index rather than every 24 hours unless manual. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our Account Manager and the time that she gives us to help us improve! Make sure you schedule time to go over the product and on-board with them, it will really help. There are a lot of great features that will only come to life after you set them up correctly, and sometimes you need a little help, and they are there to help you quickly. Its a very comprehensive soltuion, so make sure you get the most out of it. We used it for a few years without diving in deep, which was a mistake on our part, you should really spend some time each week in the software to make improvements, as it is not a set it and forget it if you want to get the most out of it. It's minor- but better instructions and clearer "information" buttons to help you navigate. Sometimes there is so much information that it could get overwhelming. That's a good thing because it is a very comprehensive solution. In the very beginning years ago, they had different solutions, and now it seems they have simplified the pricing and options, which is great. It would be great if it integrated with Channel Advisor out of the box without an API, but that is ok too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- Fast search experience
- One of the best customer support Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It does not handle multiple stores logic; each store is treated as a separate entity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I was having trouble getting the product launched, but their team bent over backward to try and make it work. From the CEO to the VPs and the rest of the team, they have shown a tremendous level of empathy and flexibility to work with our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can take some time to get the product to go live. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Searchspring always listens to ideas/issues and always comes up with an answer or will create an answer on the backend - and always with a quick turnaround! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I honestly havent experienced a downside yet but if I had to choose it would have to be auto reporting sent weekly - choose top reports to be filter and send as the user sets up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Great program for the price! It has made it very easy for my team to create and manage collections. Unlike most other program, Search Spring has the dual ability to run off rule based algorithms and to pin or promote specific styles- at the same time. Extremely valuable when you want a healthy mix of art and science. Also, being able to leverage GA data through the platform is a major plus. Not to be dramatic, but they just launched a scheduling feature that has saved my life! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The search functionality is somewhat buggy. Sometimes it doesn't pull in the right products or it try's to autocorrect the name of styles even if the name is being spelt the right way. Its also annoying how if you create a color based collection Ie. little black dress- you have to get extra dev work done, which cost more money, to display just the color variant hero you want instead of the main hero. I feel like that should be a given in the program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The product itself is rather intuitive. It integrates perfectly with Shopify and the communication from the CSM and my team has been very, very helpful in the onboarding process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Certain lack of functionality but ideas can always be onboarded in the platform and added to the development timeline, which is also a good feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
