What do you like best about Scribe?

I oversee our software development team. We frequently struggle to complete a product and then hand it off with succesful adoption. It is common for users to not use a tool, to find inventive ways to use it incorrectly, or to require repeated trainings. Scribe has completely changed that for us. When we roll out new features we now create a Scribe and post it with the rollout. Our adoption has skyrocketed, and the number of training tickets we receive has plummeted. Any ticket we now receive for training results in a Scribe being created and shared. Since implementing this, we rarely see repeat tickets for the same training. We are actually in the middle of re-designing our Help Center around embedded Scribes to make finding and accessing them easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Scribe?

I wish it were possible to have scribes only viewable within our company, but without requiring each and every employee have an account. We only need a handful of users who can create the Scribes, but currently we have to publish them publicly so that others can access them.

I also wish there were a simpler way to create a searchable repository of Scribes without users needing their own Scribe account, and without needing to maintain Scribe pages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?

Scribe provides simple training that replaces extensive system manuals. Users will click through a Scribe when they won't open a manual.

Scribe offers very targeted training for specific use-cases that can be hard to find how to handle in a general support center or systems manual.

Scribe improves our systems adoption while reducing the upfront and ongoing training demands new systems or features otherwise require.

Scribe improves our process standardization by showing exact steps to complete a task. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Scribe?

I’ve been using Scribe to create learning content for our various products, and honestly, it’s been a total game-changer for how we engage with customers. One of the best things about it is just how easy it was to get started—super simple to implement, and it fit right into our workflows without any hassle.

Lastly, their customer support team is top notch. Always quick to jump in and help if anything goes wrong, which honestly doesn’t happen often, but it’s good to know they got your back. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Scribe?

Scribe is a seriously powerful tool, but there’s definitely a couple areas where it could be even better. One thing I’ve noticed is that while it makes creating Scribes super easy, it’d be great to have more advanced customization for embedded guides. Right now, the formatting and branding options feel a bit limited—having more control over the look and feel would make a big difference, especially when trying to keep things consistent with our company’s style. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before we started using Scribe, keeping our learning content up-to-date with our engineering team’s constant sprint updates was a bit of a nightmare. Traditional documentation was just way too time-consuming, since every update meant manually editing multiple locations. Now, with Scribe, I just update a guide once, and boom—it’s automatically updated everywhere it’s embedded. No more hunting down old versions or worrying about outdated info floating around.

Another huge win has been how much time it’s saved us in content production. Since Scribe automates screenshot capture and guide creation, I can crank out high-quality instructional materials way faster than before. Instead of spending hours manually putting together step-by-step guides, I can focus more on refining the content and making sure it actually helps our users. What do you like best about Scribe?

Scribe is great for being able to capture what I'm doing on my screen, and allows me to be able to edit what I send on to my colleagues. It's difficult for me to explain steps in a process at times, and a shared screen on a zoom call has always been easier for me to explain to others how to work in a specific program. With other programs being more complicated, or having more steps, I would sometimes forget a step that would make things confusing. Since Scribe captures every click and thing you do on the screen it's next to impossible to miss a step.

I also like that it's so easy to share the Scribe with my team, and they don't have to log into anything to view it. I can share a PDF or the link and it's right there for them - very, very simple! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Scribe?

The least helpful thing for me is when I do a capture and I mess something up, so I have to edit the document before I send it. But other than that it's been really helpful for me to explain things to my colleagues. I think I've used it daily since we signed up, it's been really helpful! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use a number of different programs and websites for our work, and making sure everyone is on the same page for how to use them is crucial for efficiency. Scribe helps me make sure that everyone has the steps they need to complete a task on a new program or site, and they can refer back to the instructions/walk through at any time. When working with a range of capabilities in terms of technology it's been a huge time saver for me in terms of explaining things! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Scribe?

We utilized Scribe to create a simple 5 step ptocess to help our clients utilize our software more effectively. We've been able to create a How to Guide to help save our support team hours. While it takes some time to set up initially, we've seen it pay off in the long run. Will definitely be utilizing Scribe in the future to make more How to Guides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Scribe?

There were some times that the embedded form didn't show up on our website, however, I really like how we've been able to make a full screen srcibe with the ability for our clients to easily select the title on the left hand side fo the page to scroll down Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?

We've been able to save countless hours of support by providing our clients with an easy 5 step process to follow along. Without the help of Scribe, we would'nt have been able to create these easy tutorials. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Scribe?

This product is easy to use and compliments several aspects of our day to day work, whether it is creating user guides or even send a condensed version of what was done by our customer support team to a client. You put it in place in no time, and it's also a very fair pricing compared to other products used for similar projects. Subscription and implementation in our process took a few hours at most, and it has been used on a frequent basis ever since. I also really like that through the browser extension, you can find tons of helpful guides shared by the community for the app you are currently into, so not only did it make our job easier, but it also help in some unexpected ways. What do you like best about Scribe?

I would say I love how scribe allows me to capture steps in real time, by taking screenshots of each steps and even writing the steps down. The AI gerenative feature is also quite useful as it saves time on writing descriptions. The ability to embed the code into a HTML code allowed us to integrate and implement these to our IT support guide and I would say the users would go on strike if I took this away from them. We have been using Scribe for a year now and it has allowed us to provide the best support to our users so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Scribe?

While it auto-generates guides, the editing functionality may not be as robust or flexible as some users may need for fine-tuning more complex documentation. For our organisation that require premium features, the subscription cost could be a consideration, especially for small teams or individuals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?

Many users find how to guide too complex to follow when they see too many screenshots and text on the how to guide, however the ability to create interactive steps allowed me to create user friendly guides while keeping users engaged and this has been benefitting as many users are looking at our how to guides before they contact the IT service desk. What do you like best about Scribe?

I love being able to create a quick guide and send them out to my clients. Installing the extension is a great way for me to seamlessly begin to capture a scribe while I'm in a client's account and can walk them through click by click to get them the guide they need. Then, with a small amount of tweaking the steps, I can send off my guide! And I love that as our software adds features, we can keep our scribes up to date by simply editing them! We have our scribes organized into folders for our software modules, so they are easy to locate. I use Scribe almost daily to send guides to clients. Its very easy to use and easy to learn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Scribe?

I haven't found anything yet that I do dislike about it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?

Being able to tell clients how to do the same things multiple times. Before, we'd have to type out an email giving the same directions over and over...what a time consuming waste! Now, we create 1 guide and can send it to multiple clients because chances are...someone else has that same question. Saves us so much time! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Scribe?

Would be useful to be able to instead of pages, create 'Projects' for scribes to go into.. not needing to be put on a page, but into a folder within the platform and give specific people the access to the scribes they need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Nico Carmosino of Scribe

Natasha this is incredible — thank you so much for sharing your feedback here! We're thrilled to hear how much time its saving you and how easy the sharing options are.

The concept of 'Projects' is super cool, and we're thinking a lot about organization in 2025. We do have folders available (more information here: https://support.scribehow.com/hc/en-us/articles/6855142689309-Creating-folders-and-saving-documents) but understand the access restrictions could be beneficial for sure.

We wish you the best of luck in your transition and hope you'll take Scribe along with you to document any new processes! 🤓

What do you like best about Scribe?

I like that scribe is user friendly and I'm able to figureout items and edit just by clicking and checking how options work. The AI description has been spot on! All the edit options help me easily create how-to guides and I like that you can still add another image as needed. Scribe has saved me time so I can quickly get info out and shared to our staff. Scribe is easy to go back to edit and also like the ease of sharing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Scribe?

The only thing I dislike so far, is that sometimes the image is cut off and doesn't show all the info. But that may be that I need to ensure I click closer to the image area. Still fairly new at it and know it will get better as I create more Scribes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?

Scribe has eleminated the need to capture many individual screen shots and saves a lot of time. Scribe is also quickly shared to enable quick implemetation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

ScribeHow has revolutionized the way I create and share documentation for my team and clients. The tool’s ability to automatically capture step-by-step instructions while I perform tasks has saved me countless hours of writing tutorials from scratch. The visual clarity and professional look of the guides make it easy for anyone, regardless of their technical expertise, to follow along.

I particularly love how simple it is to edit and refine the guides post-capture. The integration options and the ability to share directly or embed into other platforms ensure the guides are always accessible where needed.

ScribeHow has not only streamlined my workflow but also improved my team’s understanding and execution of tasks. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an efficient and user-friendly way to create documentation or training materials! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
