I have used SalesHood to improve things in 3 specific areas:
- New Hire on-boarding: We are using SalesHood for on-boarding new Sage colleagues. With SalesHood, we created a new sales on-boarding system that eliminated the "cram it all in" nature of our previous classes. Under the old system, new hire training could take anywhere from 3-6 weeks of dedicated face time from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. With the new on-boarding training, my time is now split into various shorter workshops over the course of the training. It has turned our On-boarding process from an event into a journey. Through SalesHood, our on-boarding can easily be extended and measured, so our colleagues can get what they need to start, and then some real-time experience before we bring them back in for scheduled Instructor Lead Training sessions.
- Training for new products and solutions: In my first real experience with SalesHood, our team was tasked to handle training for our Small Business sales team on our new ISV Marketplace. We had to get over 100 sales colleagues, both on campus and remote, up to speed on what our new Marketplace was, what it did, and the ISVs that would be populating the Marketplace on Day 1. We also had a very tight window (about 2.5 weeks) to do this.
We used SalesHood to create the Huddles for the individual solutions and to schedule the training for the teams. We had one of the ISVs visiting our campus spot quiz some of our sales colleagues on their solution. The ISV wanted to check in with the reps and see if they felt comfortable with their pitches, pricing and where to guide their customers in the ISV Marketplace.

Considering that I was a relative newbie with SalesHood at this time (although this baptism by fire has made me very familiar with SalesHood now), I was pleased to hear this from the ISV! While I was already convinced that SalesHood would be an awesome tool, once I was able to personally use the tool and see the results myself, I was sold even more.
- Continuing Education: I am using SalesHood with various teams at Sage for ongoing training. I use SalesHood to schedule their training sessions, and Managers get updates on what their teams complete.
