This tool lets me be part of the team when working meeting conflicts appear and I am unable to join team meetings. This applies to the business unit and the entire company as well.
I have also used Rewatch to add training videos for the rest of the team. From a training perspective, this helps a lot as induction trainings can be set decreasing the time required to train new team members.
It is easy to use the platform and limit visibility to specific team members / user accounts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
there is nothing I dislike about Rewatch, it does what it has to do and haven't had any problems in the past with the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My Google calendar, Zoom, and Rewatch work very well together. I like the automated cloud upload of Zoom content to Rewatch. All you need to do is set up the automated recording or remember to hit record and you're done. Second, I like the Slack integration. It's a bonus to be able to auto-delete Zoom cloud recordings to save space and money Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like being recorded all the time. It feels like a cultural cornerstone that you should be up front about with employees. If you have a camera-on, always recording culture at your remote company, it may hurt in your ability to build trust with your workforce. Nobody wants to feel surveilled. Getting started with Rewatch was very easy. The basics of the tool are intuituve to use so our team was able to pick it up without any training. The recorder is very reliable and even picks up on last minute meetings. I also appreciate that it just drops a note in the Zoom chat that it is there recording as opposed to interuptting the audio with a message. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I find searching through previous recordings can be cumbersome. It would be nice to be able to search the transcripts by keyword or topics. Some of the more advanced features seem to be a bit more involved to learn and use. There are parts of the tool I'm not using currently because I haven't been able to dedicate the time to figure them out.
Capturing clips of a recording to share is a bit finicky to get at the exact starting and stopping point you need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The AI summaries of meetings that get sent into Slack help me catch up on meetings from other teams in different timezones. It's a huge timesaver, and often the AI summaries are impressive in how they capture the content and context of a meeting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the AI summaries can be extremely brief and other times it's full of detail with action items. It would be nice to be able to configure the AI summary aspect to your preference. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that videos can be automated from Zoom to upload in rewatch. I have a few synced meetings and it's nice to be able to click a few buttons to get it up and running on Rewatch.
I also like the AI feature for transcript for increased accessibility. It does a great job of providing transcripts and even a summary! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes when I clip videos to shorten them, I have to put a certain "second* to make sure it goes through when I feel like it should know if I'm only trimming from the beginning, the end should be found easily. It's nice that it will tell me what I need to input but I guess I find it just a little weird. No big deal tho.
I wouldn't recommend Rewatch as a place to search for videos. I explain to new employees that they can think of rewatch as something they need to sign into but wait for guidance from someone to know what to watch. Like GitHub, searching for specific content isn't always the greatest. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- The navigation is smooth
- The search is very efficient
- Quality of display and sound and speed controls are upto the mark
- Quality of subtitles is sometimes even better than Netflix and Disney Hotstar Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- It should be integrated with teams/zoom and take their recordings directly into the system with the attendee list - date and time
- The reactions should be only shown for that particular moment - In one of my videos there is an irritating "Heart" icon on the screen continuously for no reason.
- The sharing link should be short and understandable - this long piece if strange characters is not appealing to forward to - Else make the link available in the Title itself so when we copy the title and paste it to a docujment - the link too is copied. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a writer/creative director, I am on countless calls, and I'm often left poring over my notes or (worse) wracking my brain trying to remember what was said, who said it, the exact wording used etc. Rewatch is simply amazing. I can easily record calls, I can easily generate notes, and I can easily go back and find any relevant snippet. I now record every one of my meetings and share the notes via Rewatch. A game-changer. I wish they had a pricing tier for solo users. I'm a freelancer and currently paying for seats that I don't need or use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When your company is in the habit of recording meetings and internal events and uploading them to Rewatch, it's transformative.
Knowledge that used to be ephemeral, "you had to be there" type stuff is now universally accessible. Taking a day off of work no longer means you missed out on something important.
Heck, watching on Rewatch is sometimes better than being there because you can't pause or rewind to catch something you missed a second ago. If there's a presentation that wasn't happening at a good time for me, I can watch it asynchronously and absorb the information better becuase I didn't have to be at my computer at an odd hour just to catch it. Or I can watch at higher speeds which isn't just a time saver; it often helps me stay in the moment and absorb the video's content better.
My favorite thing about Rewatch that's been added relatively recently is the AI-powered transcriptions and summaries of videos. They're surprisingly good, especially the summaries, and working at a big company where there's a lot of stuff, it can be useful to help me gauge whether a thing's worth watching. Sometimes it's a little cumbersome finding the video I'm looking for, even if it was recently uploaded. This is because thumbnails will tend to look similar for all the videos, and titles will often be similar, because we're not YouTube; we're a company doing stuff.
I'd love to see something like a calendar or Zoom integration where the Rewatch URL gets attached after the fact to calendar events when the associated video is uploaded to Rewatch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Rewatch is a great resource for our company. We appreciate the ability to go back and view meeting notes, and its made our organization's note-taking ability far quicker than before. It's a very intuitive app and customer support is easy to get a hold of. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
On occasion, the action items and notes aren't always accurate – but you can always go back and re-watch your meeting, or download an actual transcript, to make sure they are correct. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My team started using Rewatch about a year ago to record meetings and demos. I like the automatic summary and being able to find all my previous recordings in the libary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Overall the tool feels buggy. It uses Zoom to record & then converts it to a Rewatch video. There are a couple of downsides to that - one, it records every meeting on Zoom which takes up a TON of space and continually puts me over my Zoom limit; two, there is a long delay between when the meeting ends & the video is actually converted. I often have to wait to send out follow up emails because I'm still waiting for the recording to be completed. It doesn't do well with PMI numbers, so if your SDR uses your PMI link to schedule Zoom meetings, Rewatch may or may not record them & will most likely get the meeting name completely wrong. Recently it just stopped showing up to my meetings and I had to manually go in and turn it on for each individual meeting. If you want to share the recording with your customer it takes multiple clicks just to get a link that will work. Honestly, it's a hassle and I hope my team switches when our contract is up.
