What do you like best about Propel?

We customized the program to include manufacturer part numbers, supplier part numbers, traceability requirements, and information such as which product a product was used in and which version a product was used in on the front-end item summary page. item This improves searchability for users, making it easy to sort and filter according to their needs. Creating items in Propel is so easy that anyone can do it. The steps are simple and easy to understand. Propel handles change management very well. I can create temporary and permanent changes, which means I can create experiments with temporary changes and track them, as well as make permanent change orders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Propel?

If I could change anything about the program it would be to be able to create routes on the fly. I do this now, but in a circular fashion, not synchronized with the way we use the program a lot, but we have too many "custom" routes we need, so I decided to run a derivation for 6 months. Let's see if I can come up with a more standard set of routes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Propel solving and how is that benefiting you?

I found the program easy to use, feature rich, and very robust. Some things we don't use, but the features we do use are really great! Also, the technical support provided by Propel is absolutely top notch. I appreciate knowing that I have great support at my fingertips should I need it. It scales to merge with CAD tools and automatically updates revisions made to part files. Similar functionality can be used to update material costs and weights in PLM tools. We use Propel in our operations for internal document change management (ECO), as well as for all of our hardware engineering products, storage drawings, specifications, component information such as RoHS declarations and data sheets, and any other information for storage products. We also create ECRs to evaluate suppliers, and when product issues arise or experiments need to be performed, we track them in Propel using deviations to create intermediate changes. In addition, Propel is the "source of truth" for SKUs across the enterprise. All SKUs start in Propel and end in SAP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Propel?

Been using the platform for about a year and I love that it has almost all the bells and whistles needed for me to create extensive media lists, pitch and track. More than anything, I really like how I can easily search journalists who are covering a very niche topic and have them on my radar for approaches. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Propel?

The only thing I dislike is I still think the scrollbar on the righthand side of the platform is too narrow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Propel?

The fact that Propel integrates directly with our Exchange server, allowing us to actually send "real", personal email pitches to journalists, makes a huge difference in the personal touch we try to foster with journalists. The ability to keep detailed notes on journalists and our pitching activities, to really make Propel into our own purpose-driven platform for our organization is amazing. The customer service is above and beyond as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Propel?

Honestly, there is nothing that I "dislike" about Propel. However, for media monitoring and reporting I still find myself subscribing to CoverageBook and Critical Mention. It would be great if in the future Propel could functionally replace those platforms as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Propel solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are finally able to build our own tailored media relations database for our organization, and communicate with our press contacts in the most natural way possible - right through our standard Exchange / Outlook email. Our ability to quickly respond to news and get pitches out in a short amount of time really are thanks to Propel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Propel?

Prior to using Propel, we had a custom build of Salesforce Lightning for managing our pitching. Propel is much better, as its built specifically for PR teams. We use the CRM as well as the reporting dashboard for clients. It's been useful to organize contacts, log coverage, and we can export the data to view all up trends across the agency. The team is also fairly responsive to requests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Propel?

It can be somewhat buggy from time to time or take a while to load. Also, as they're a growing company, sometimes things change with little to no heads up. Still, they do their best to correct anything that has gone wrong. UI could be better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Propel solving and how is that benefiting you?

We're solving for pitching, which we can do through Gmail with Propel and view who has looked at our pitches, responded, etc. As well as logging and tagging coverage. We do not use their database (we have MuckRack) or any other monitoring tools they may have (we use Cision Next Gen). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Propel?

I like that propel is pretty easy to navigate. You can pretty much find your way around without doing the tutorials but they are there if you need them. There are a good amount of journalists on there from a good variety of industries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Propel?

I think that some of the processes are made to be useful but aren't quite there yet. For example, the double pitching criteria is helpful if you're the only one sending to those contacts but as an agency, we have a lot of people sending emails and so excluding double-pitched contacts from a list removes people that you may not have actually finished pitching.

The only other thing that can be difficult is searching for journalists/outlets using the categories option or the topic search. I find that some categories, such as parenting, aren't on the list but other more obscure ones are and I'm not entirely sure why. I know there are journalists on Propel who have parenting as a topic of interest so I'm not sure why it isn't available as a filter. I also find that the topic search often shows journalists/outlets who are completely outside of the industry that I am looking for which isn't really helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Propel solving and how is that benefiting you?

The biggest problem Propel solves is finding journalists with contact details to whom we can pitch. It is fairly quick and simple to use and means that we don't have to trawl the internet for contacts or contact them all individually, we can simply mail merge a pitch.

The open/response rate is very useful to track progress and results with different stories and is a good measurement tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
