I've been using ProLiant for a few years now, and it's overall a positive experience.
For the most part, the site is easy to use, and when an employee logs into their profile, everything they need is right there.
One thing I particularly appreciate is the customer support. The representatives are very friendly, and they're available if I need them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The quality of the communication is a concern. I would prefer that things go more smoothly. I would like to be able to explain to the customers when something is not functioning correctly so that they are aware of the issue in a timely manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It seems overly complicated and daunting. I'd love a platform that I can make more my own, instead of the brief training I received at the beginning then I've been learning trial and error since then. I am not an HR expert, so when I'm told to do things, I'm unsure how to complete or why it's necessary.
I'd like to be able to store ALL payroll information within Proliant. Prior to processing payroll, I'd like to be able to enter PTO hours, upload reimbursement receipts and payroll notes, so that I don't have to retrieve said information from other sources on the day of processing. Proliant is intuitive to use. I really appreciate having a specific point of contact for tax, time-keeping, and payroll. Proliant is more cost-effective than other payroll solutions we looked at. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Setting up employees is often a bit cumbersome. A widget that walks you through an employee set up step by step would be helpful. It would also be nice to have a 15 minute grace period after payroll is submitted to be able to re-open payroll in case a mistake is made. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Lots of hiccups and roadblocks that took longer than expected to get over during time and labor setup.
Things as simple as a working PTO system were not working out of box, granted maybe because it was due to our custom policies. The backend system is a bit of a nightmare since they don't seem to own the development of it; it seems to be another vendor's system. Training new employees has been straightforward. The report writer is a great asset to have access to. We have easily created several custom reports in a very short period. The customer service team is great. If we have any questions or system issues, they are available. Training courses are available in both live sessions and prerecorded. Having access to the prerecorded sessions is great for new and current employees. The implementation team was great to work with. They did all the heavy lifting to get the system up and running. We have integrations with our timeclock system, benefits, Paycard and our ERP solution. We even have early wage access for our employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The report descriptions are sometimes confusing. Therefore, you may have to run a few diferent standard reports to find the one that produces the information you are looking for. If the standard reports do not produce the information we need, we create our own with the report writer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Supports large payrolls and user friendly. Their customer support is Awesome! I use the system daily with minimal issues. Highly recommend, especially for companies with large payrolls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Reports. I wish there were more options for reporting. especially for things like BLS reporting. for us, we have multiple company codes and the reports are more grouped together for the BLS reporting. Often times, the time and labor tab is confusing to some employees. They often choose this tab to go request time instead of clicking on the "My Time" tab. I use Proliant to access employee info, enter new employees and review resumes. Another development suggestion would be to include a tab for "county" as our organization operates in several counties across NC Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
