Progress MOVEit Pros and Cons

A secure mail transfer platform that covers a lot of bases. Ease user, folder and group managemement, with the ability to delegate controls as and when needed. Quotas and limitations can be set and also bypassed on per account basis. Customer support is great with quick responses. Setting it up is fairly easy and with a lot of options to configure - the best approach is to have a proper plan laid out with the configuration/options someone decides to use. SSO offering is also a plus as it can seemingly integrate with an organisational environment, plus AV Scanning capabilities for all files is a great for those who are focused on security. We have MOVEit since 2018 and our company/department is still using it. It started a bit rocky with their customer service agents but over the years, things got easy because you end up learning everything on your own. It's easy to use and set up and unlimited ways to set up/configure your work. There are two ways to access MOVEIT, through the server on the MOVEIT admin client or Web Client. Both options offer different ways to do things. If you want to print/generate Excel data then MOVEIt admin client and if you want to see graphs on jobs that failed, pending, etc... then the Web client would be your go to. Sometimes there are bugs on the application and when you try to get help, they won't be able to solve the bug issue because it's an update that needs to be rolled to an X date to do it all for all their clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
