PerformYard is highly user-friendly and intuitive, making it easy to navigate and manage performance reviews. The centralized platform allows all performance management tasks to be streamlined in one place, which enhances productivity and organization. Its flexibility to customize forms and review processes ensures that it meets the specific needs of the organization. Additionally, the ability to provide feedback and track goals directly within the platform fosters accountability and continuous improvement.

Huge shoutout to Liz Triris. She has been instrumental in the implementation of this platform. Her attention to details and follow through is top notch. Her support and coaching has made the integration of PerformYard as easy for us as possible. Thank you Liz, for all that you do.

**What do you dislike about PerformYard Performance Management?**

While the platform has many strengths, there are some areas for improvement. I wish organizations could customize dashboards even more to fit their specific needs and workflows. There could also be a more robust way to view and edit forms, making it easier to manage performance data effectively. Additionally, certain terms like 'Author' and other pre-set verbiage are not applicable to our organization, which can lead to confusion. Greater flexibility in customizing language throughout the platform would make it more user-friendly and aligned with our processes

I like that Perform Yard automates the summary of employee reviews.  Before using Perform Yard, we had to manually summarize the data in spreadsheets.  Perform Yard saves us a lot of time and improves our efficiency with the employee review process.

It is user friendly. I can track my own growth and goals while providing a structured way to track and measure my development over time. We try to utilize it quarterly at minimum. Any time I accomplish something I can add it to my list, and it is transparent for my mentor as well when we have check-ins. It enables continuous feedback and encourages regular check-ins and real-time feedback rather than relying on annual reviews - this has been very beneficial for our mentoring program.

**What do you dislike about PerformYard Performance Management?**

Potential for Micromanagement – If not used correctly, it can feel like constant surveillance rather than a tool for growth.
Lack of Context – Numbers and data don’t always tell the full story of someone’s performance, leaving room for misinterpretation.

PerformYard’s intuitive design made it easy for both our employees and managers to navigate. The tool significantly reduced the administrative burden of our review cycles. Customizable templates and centralized tracking made it easier to keep things moving and stay organized.

**What do you dislike about PerformYard Performance Management?**

The default font color and visual contrast made it difficult to read. While the system includes automated reminders, the tool lacks flexibility in customizing the frequency, timing, or audience of those reminders. It does not include a compensation management module, so merit and equity increases must be managed in a separate system, which creates an extra administrative step and limits end-to-end performance-cycle integration.

Before implementing PerformYard, our performance review process was manual, time-consuming, and inconsistent across departments. Tracking goal progress, managing review cycles, and collecting feedback required multiple tools and significant administrative oversight, which often led to delays, missed deadlines, and a lack of clarity around expectations and accountability.

PerformYard is simple, fast, easy to understand, and is structured appropriately for our company. Support has been great. Implementation was easy. Review forms work great and the entire company was pleased with the switch.

**What do you dislike about PerformYard Performance Management?**

Because it is so simple, there are still some core features that feel lacking. There are some missing toggle features on review forms that would improve overall functionality. The navigation menu is somewhat confusing for such a simple tool. Analytics could be better and would really allow an administration or HR team to showcase this review data to owners or the leadership team in a more streamlined way. Customization for company branded forms or colors is a bit limited.

The support from start to finish in set is great. It is really easy to use. The set up for our entire company was easy and the support that was given and that has continued is great. We love that we can schedule our reviews, set goals for employees, give feedback through out the year and store documents. We use this every day and are loving our experience.

It was very difficult to keep track of every employees review dates and complete them ontime. It was also difficult to keep track of what each employee has excelled and failed in through out the year and this has made it easy to do both.

Onboarding was streamlined and guided.  Jaina has been fantastic to work with.  She is incredibly knowledgeable and efficient in assisting with the creation of my company's PerformYard platform. Integration with Gusto has also been incredibly beneficial.

More of a learning curve, the site is robust and learning to navigate and train the team has been the only small issue

Aiding in more structured and cadenced reporting on performance, improved onboarding and offboarding including specific information and documents stored in one location, document sharing and signing.  Accountabiity emails for tasks and goal tracking.  Team recognition.  I would like to suggest that other team members have the ability to add on to positive feedback with shared with the organization.

Performyard has been incredibly helpful as our consulting firm navigates managing teams across different organizations.  Easy to use and effective in accomplishing our objectives.

So far, no downsides with using the software.

Being a consultant with multiple clients I needed to find a way to easily manage all the team members across the different entities without having to recreate the wheel for every client we bring on board.  Performyard allows us to set standards and workflows to effectively manage each team member no matter what client they work for.

**What do you like best about PerformYard Performance Management?**

We've been using PerformYard for under a year for performance management. This helps us to manage performance cycles, centralize employee individual performance, and handle performance workflows. 

We especially like that it has a DocuSign feature to collect signatures from staff rather than individually sending a DocuSign to each employee which was very time consuming. 

We also like that we have employee recognition and that this is most of all, a cost conscious platform. As a non profit we need a platform that is easy to use and affordable. It also integrates with ADP Workforce Now, our current HRIS system. 

Lauren Pierron is highly responsive, especially with some of the last minute urgent items that I've needed resolution on. 

Overall, PerformYard is a strong and reliable solution for organizations looking to streamline performance management and HR processes in one centralized system.

**What do you dislike about PerformYard Performance Management?**

One of the biggest limitations is that it does not offer project management features, this has been one of two pain points for our staff. 

Another challenge is the goal management functionality because top level goals are not automatically updated when the bottom goals are updated. So it makes it more manual rather than automated. 

Reports are limited and while we like the company resource page, theres no folder to organize information. Only tags. 

Overall, PerformYard does a great job with core performance management, but it requires some workarounds and manual effort in certain areas.

**What problems is PerformYard Performance Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before switching to PerformYard, we were managing performance reviews using Microsoft Word documents, which was a time-consuming and inefficient process. PerformYard has allowed us to modernize the performance management process. 

I like that we can pull a report to see who has not completed deliverables.

I love how there is a major goal hub incorporated into reviews. Goals/KPIs are huge at our company, we use this to drive internal promotions, track skill development, and it ensures the individual employee is staying aligned with department and company wide objectives. Additionally, the customer support has been wonderful.

**What do you dislike about PerformYard Performance Management?**

I think the dashboard layout could use some work, it was slightly difficult to get to the actual form and a lot of our managers were confused.

We were doing all reviews in spreadsheets, and employees had no hub to track their goals and review feedback QoQ and YoY. PerformYard gives our employees the independence and confidence to track their own goals, which has positively impacted ownice of these conversations to promote and upskil our employees.

**What do you like best about PerformYard Performance Management?**

This is a wonderfully flexible tool that allows for easy creation and tracking of all performance management goals.   The ability to increment goals by small percentages and leave comments is fantastic.   The trail of information is in itself useful for managers and employees to see how they are or aren't achieving their goals.   The cascade of signoffs makes it easy to obtain all required approvals.

**What do you dislike about PerformYard Performance Management?**

The downside of PerformYard is having to DO these HR things in the first place.  They aren't fun, they're time consuming, it's the task that employees tend to spend the least amount of time on.   Using PerformYard makes it a much less onerous set of tasks whether you're managing a team or just keeping track of your own progress against personal and corporate goals.

**What problems is PerformYard Performance Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't often use PerformYard; working towards my corporate and personal goals isn't something I do every week.  PerformYard reminds me of when things are coming up to allow me to plan properly to achieve my goals.  It reminds me where I left off with this or that goal.  Reading my comments, I remember what was going on when I stopped where I did and it allows me to pick up cleanly and move my goals forward.   I love being able to attach relevant documentation so that everything associated with my goals is 'One Stop Shopping'.

The best thing about PerformYard is how easy it is to use for our associates and that the back end set up is extremely customizable.  Both of these areas streamlines our entire performance review process.

Our experience with PerformYard has been positive and we haven’t encountered any drawbacks at this time.

Before PerformYard, our review process lacked consistency. Now, we have a structured, organized system that ensures all employees receive meaningful feedback on a regular basis. Automated reminders have significantly reduced our administrative burden, keeping the process on track without constant follow-ups from Human Resources. Our associates have found the platform easy to use, which has increased participation.

Great support with set-up and pre-launch before the reviews, assistance with testing. The reporting features are excellent. The system is easy to use, visually appealing and employees had very few questions about how to use the system.

The only thing we would add is more options to customize the fonts, sizes and colors of review forms/questions.

We previously use survey monkey and had to manually transfer the information to spreadsheets and get reporting through formulas etc. This is automated now, and there's much less guesswork.

I liked PerformYard because it brought everything together in one place — 1:1's, annual reviews, surveys — which made staying on top of performance stuff easy. But it wasn’t great for conversations since it didn’t really support ongoing back-and-forth between managers and employees throughout the month (or any timeframe).

**What do you dislike about PerformYard Performance Management?**

The system currently restricts collaborative commenting during the review period. Only the individual assigned to the form (typically the employee) can add or edit notes up until submission. Managers cannot view or add comments until the form is submitted by the employee. This means that real-time, ongoing collaborative note-taking between employee and manager throughout the month (or any timeframe) is not supported.

It would be helpful to have a feature that allows both parties to contribute notes continuously or asynchronously before submission, to better capture ongoing feedback and thoughts.

We were able to consolidate our staff of over 100 members into a single and unified database.  The data analytics and various features are great tools in assessing the staff and helps us identify top performers.

It would be great if there were more templates available on how to best collect and leverage the data.  For our company, we used our existing performance formats, which aren't necessarily the most effective.

Finally, a digital platform that makes evaluations/reviews available in one easy-to-access location. Perform Yard allows for streamlined conversations about evaluations with the administration. Specifically, like the ability to show a dual-screen with multiple performance reviews to help aid in meaningful discussion about progress.

One thing I think would be helpful, would be to make it easier to update submitted documents. For example, I wanted to update my notes on my personal performance review after submission but was unable to without getting outside permission.

Before using Perform Yard Management, our evaluations were kept in physical files at the school. This made it difficult to access the documents or review previous years. It is nice to have an online platform where documents can easily be created, filled out, and accessed.

Previously, our internal review process was disorganized and cumbersome, but PerformYard has streamlined everything. The platform is user-friendly, making it easy for both managers and employees to navigate, and the overall experience has been much more efficient.

One of the standout features for us has been the customer service. Whenever we’ve had questions or needed support, the PerformYard team has been incredibly responsive and helpful. They’re attentive to our needs and provide clear guidance, making it easy to resolve any issues quickly.

We received excellent support from our dedicated Customer Success Manager, Liz Tiriris, who guided us through the process. The set up was easy and simple to use; Liz was able to help us decide how we wanted to use the tool and the features that would help us customise PerformYard to suit our specific needs. We had regular calls to discuss all the different functions setting up the reviews and goals for our company. The feedback section is perfect and allows us to share this between individuals, managers and the entire company.

The only thing that would improve PerformYard would be locking down fields once they have been completed prior to sending them to another member of staff to author.
When setting up a review, there are a number of fields that need to be filled in before moving on to the actual review.

Their staff is SUPER helpful when it comes to learning the platform. They literally do everything they can to help with the learning curve. They're also fantastic at changing, switching, adding, and pivoting in any way when we want something changed on the platform. It's been easy for our staff to learn, and it makes our paperwork life much more seamless.

I wish the feedback section was more user friendly. For example, if I want to just make a post for all to see, it would be better to not have to go select to who all the time.   It'd be nice to have it be link friendly to zoom or teams.

The feature that allows two authors to fill out the same form is great.

There are some bugs in the reporting system. Employee data from a previous review cycle, which should have been deleted, is still appearing in the extracted report, leading to duplication of employee information

The biggest benefit is that it addresses the challenges of our flat hierarchy, where multiple managers may need to fill out a performance evaluation for an employee. The contributor feature has also been helpful in situations where team leads, who are not the employee's direct reporting managers, but are in a way or another managing the employee are able to have visibility to the employee's goals and performance evaluations.
