What do you like best about Paylocity?

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

It's mobile app is lacking. Not to mention the time off hours are NEVER accurate for whatever reason. It's always short about fifteen to twenty minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Paylocity?

The platform is user friendly. Implementation was super easy. They listen to new ideas and are constantly updating the platform with new features and offerings. We have the opportunity to integrate with numerous outside partners. The dedicated support team is a plus as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

At times there are issues within the system that cause widespread problems. These take longer to correct than they should. Communication to users when these are identified would be helpful instead of finding out "by accident". Training for new users could be better than "Read this PEAK article". There are multiple steps within the system that cross sections and the articles don't always capture that. Also - the articles are not as up to date as the system is. What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are able to seemlessly integrate all aspects of HR and Payroll related areas. The app has almost all the same functionality as the website which is a big satisfier for our staff. What do you like best about Paylocity?

Once you understand the Paylocity system it is easy to use and more manageable and user friendly than other payroll providers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

We had a rocky start up with some Paylocity staff turnover right around the time when we were about to due our implementation. Due to this, it took a bit longer to understand how the system worked and it was a difficult transition ensuring everything had been set up correctly. However, after a rocky start, once the system was downloaded successfully, things have been running smoothly without any major hiccupps. We have now been with Paylocity for over 2 years and are satisfied customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?

We would love to be able to take advanatage of the expense feature. However, our school currently has 3 major departments for our school programs (teaching, active program, & residential program). each of these programs requires different supervisers signing off on expenses. Therefore, a teacher may have a reimbursement from more than 1 supervisor. it would be ideal if Paylocity figured out how we could have the expense program be tied to serveral supervisor roles (not just the employee primary supervisor) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Paylocity?

The personnel are friendly, attentive and always available to help. The ease of end of year tax filings is great and they always are on top of our state statutes for payroll and payroll taxes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

I do not like the new procedure to run payroll, I have hourly employees with tips and commissions and it is way too hard to navigate. I am dreading when I am forced to use the new system and I know I will have to call for help and frankly have a very busy schedule and after using your service for 3 years I am saddened I have to change the procedure. What do you like best about Paylocity?

Paylocity has a module for everything an HR department needs. I can run payroll, administer benefits, stay up-to-date on compliance, update my company policies, procedures and job descriptions, find market pay rates, onboard employees, and so much more on one platform. Paylocity implementation was practically seemless and their customer service department is very knowledgeable and quick to respond. I use the platform constantly throughout my day. Paylocity is by far the best HRIS system I have ever used. I highly recommend this platform for any size business or HR team! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

There is very little about Paylocity that I dislike, but one thing that I've encountered several times that is very much needed is the ability to share reports with other users. The Paylocity Reporting module has many standardized reports that any user can access, but I need to be able to share customized reports with other administrative users. Until recently, not being able to share customized reports was just an inconvienience but last year, we had a user retire that provided me with a very complex report that was needed twice a year for raises and bonuses. Just last week I had to recreate that report from scratch which took multiple hours of time that I really couldn't afford to spare. It was a very tedious and frustrating experience which could've been avoided had there been the ability to share customized reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?

Paylocity has helped us automate our onboarding process. Prior to implementing Onboarding through Paylocity, all new hire documents and forms were emailed to the incoming employee and it was the office manager on site's responsibility to make sure that all documents/forms were completed and returned to the HR Department in a timely manner. As with all positions, some office managers are more efficient and timely than others, and we didn't always get everything back or back by the deadline. With Paylocity Onboarding, HR now is in controll of and can monitor an employee's progress throughout the process. If a particular item isn't complete, we know about it in real time and can reach out to that employee directlly. Needless to say, the Onboarding process runs more smoothly and efficiently now. We haven't been able to figure out how to get the OnBoarding module to work for us but that is mostly due to 180 and 360 connections that our IT team utilizes.. this is not necessarily an issue or lack of capability on Paylocity's part. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have been using Paylocity for 15+ years now, however, only in the past few years have we really made a point to optimize our usage of the system and adopted more modules within Paylocity such as Benefits, LMS and Performance. What do you like best about Paylocity?

AMAZING all-in-one software platform gives HR a way to easily manage daily tasks in payroll, benefits, talent, and workforce management. Paylocity's technology is backed by a culture in their teams and partners that truly cares about the clients’ success.

We are in the process of our Implementation and it has been such an easy process from the Client perspective. Very refreshing to experience the single point of contact for Customer Support; with a integrated process with partners such Human Interest who is performing the transition of our 401k Implementation happening simotaniously with our Paylocity implementation.

We are very pleased with the process thus far. Specifically Marci Lipp with Paylocity and Kevin MacMillian with Human Interest! Honestly, if we didn't know better, we'd never realize that they are 2 different companies. The entire process has been a refreshing experience and definately has DAZZLED us with all the abundance in features Paylocity offers us to save time and money in all things Human Resourses, Training, Payroll and 401k!

What do you like best about Paylocity?

I like that Paylocity is easy to navigate. Also, our company has run the gambit of payroll processors, and Paylocity is one of the few that offers customer support that is available after a short hold, and everyone I have spoken to is local. Other large payroll processors outsource their client services, and hold times were atrocious. We look forward to all that Paylocity will roll out in the future to make our lives easier! What do you dislike about Paylocity?

Implementation was rocky for us - we went through a few different people

Right now, we are in need of onboarding that is offered in Spanish.

Also, the notification features do not seem to work very well for us. Some work/progress could be made there to ensure functionality is working properly. Communications are inconsistent when it comes to sending to our multiple administrators. Apparently, Paylocity only offers 1 primary admin to receive all notifications. What do you like best about Paylocity?

I like that Paylocity offers many features and modules to help support Human Resources with payroll, HR, benefits, timekeeping/time off, recruiting and onboarding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

The downside to using Paylocity is the client support. Oftentimes, we are speaking to Reps at Paylocity that are ill-trained and cannot help to resolve the issue or question we are calling about. Furthermore, there have been times when following the Reps direction, has led to an incorrect result. I find a lot of times, I have to research fixes myself because the Rep simply does not know how to help. I have implemented 5 new companies in Paylocity and it is very stressful because a lot of stuff gets missed in the set-up and you have to be proactive and and reach out to Paylocity for what is missing in the new company set-up. Paylocity should be more supportive and thorough when assisting a client with any type of set-up in Paylocity. If you are new to Paylocity, you would not know if your set-up was complete and if it was not, there may be issues down the road. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Paylocity?

Paylocity has a simple UI and smooth UX. I enjoy having Knowledge Base as a resource with a plethora of helpful articles to assist with any issues/questions that may arise, allowing me to better learn the system and its capabilities. I enjoy having our benefit providers integrated with Bswift and now having our time tracking system in Paylocity as well with Time & Labor - making my job as the Payroll Clerk much simpler and more efficient. What do you dislike about Paylocity?

In my opinion, maybe because I personally do not have any experience using any other payroll systems, Paylocity is great and I therefore cannot think of any obvious dislikes. I do feel that there could be better report options as sometimes I'm trying to pull a report for something I think would be simple to generate, but cannot find the exact report or Paylocity doesn't have a good report to give me all of what I want without providing too much extra or too little details. It's making it much easier to track time and ensure consistency and accuracy with time-off requests. Ensuring simplicity and accuracy with insurance elections as it allows employees to elect their insurances right within the system and then have that and their personal info feed directly to the benefits providers.
