I switched from Paychex to Paylocity after seeing how neat the user portal seemed to be and with the pricing being comparable I took the plunge however I have to say I am extremely dissatisfied with the services provided by Paylocity for our company's payroll and reporting needs. Since our implementation, our experience has been nothing short of a nightmare.
First and foremost, Paylocity failed to adequately transfer essential data during the implementation process. This oversight resulted in numerous issues, including but not limited to, failure to file unemployment reporting with the states, negligence in filing quarter and year-end reporting for federal withholdings and federal unemployment, and failure to report withholdings to the state.
Despite repeated attempts to address these issues, Paylocity continued to demonstrate a lack of accountability and competence. Not only did they fail to rectify their mistakes in a timely manner, but they also failed to produce accurate W2s, a fundamental responsibility of any payroll company.
Moreover, Paylocity's support team proved to be utterly useless in resolving these critical matters. Their delayed responses and inability to comprehend the severity of the situation only exacerbated our frustration.
As a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in payroll and accounting, I can confidently say that I have never encountered such incompetence and negligence from a payroll service provider. The repercussions of Paylocity's failures have been significant, resulting in employee dissatisfaction, financial penalties, and unnecessary stress. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
