The integration with Paddle was super easy. Their developer docs are thorough.
They have built Paddle Billing from scratch, after learning many lessons from the previous product - Paddle Classic.
Paddle Billing cover a wide range of scenarios, and has a robust data model that you can adjust to your needs.
It allows storing custom data on the different entities, so integration with your own service is easy. For example, storing references to your own users, products or accounts.
They solve all Tax issues in any country, and as they are the merchant of record, I get a single payment every once in a while which is easy to manage.
Their business-facing UI is easy to use and manage your customers and products.
They also provide buyer-facing UI so you don't have to write all the checkout UI, and all other pieces of customers-facing ui. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Pricing is a little high (5%), but reasonable.
Their support always answer, but sometimes it takes a while - a day or 2. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Signup and onboarding was a breeze. Website verification took a little while, but that's only because of the nature of my business.
I had a few customer support inquiries which were addressed promptly and accurately.
I used a 3rd party worpdress plugin to integrate Paddle Payments to my website, and integration was fairly easy with a very useful sandbox environment for testing.
Overall positive experience so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am new on paddle with only a couple of test transactions, so I do not really have anything to complain about so far. Hopefully my initial first (good) impressions about Paddle do not fade over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of things i really liked about the paddle is the separate full sandbox setup to fully test paddle integration before going live.it is really helpful in that aspect
Other thing is the ease of using the platform and responsive customer support team which they follow up until every query is answered Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
what i really dislike about the paddle is not able to send simple payment link within the paddle to the customer like stripe does, which is some what important feature for me Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We usually use it to request invoices and refunds, and it's been a very useful tool and easy to access.
Even the support team of Paddle is very quick in resolving his issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Even when we request support usual paddle team is quick in resolving, but it takes almost 20 hours,
I wish the resolution time were a little down. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that they are supported in countries other than USA and also available in 3rd world countries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Late customer support replies and it takes time to verify a new domain, some domain names might get rejected. But if you have a legal business or SaaS then most probably you will get your domain approved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Paddle's support team is amazing! They responded quickly and made the verification process smooth and hassle free. Super friendly and helpful great experience overall Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don’t have any major dislikes, but the web portal could be improved to function more like an SPA. avoiding full-page reloads and maintaining scroll position for a smoother experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Paddle is just a bundle of perfectness. It's Developer Experience is up to par with Stripe, the fees are low compared to other MoR offerings, and there have never been any issues for me in terms of ease of use. Their support is also great, I have personally received assistance with a technical issue I had while testing and integrating the client-side helper. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The price is good when compared to other MoR offerings, but in total, I dislike that there is this high 50c fee on every transaction, no matter how large. If you personally get in touch with them, you can reduce your rate to a plain 10% for purchases under 10$, but I think that should be included from the get-go. Paddle was super easy to get going with. They make all their Ts&Cs really clear and their support service is really good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There could be more help documentation with a variety of examples of each type of scenario. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Paddle acts as Merchant of Record, so we do not have to spend time in managing sales tax applicable in multiple countries. A valuable solution for any SaaS platform that serves globally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- While invoice creation, sales tax administration is solved well, we end up wasting a lot of time on payment collections.
- They do not send invoice reminders, it is a paid feature with some subscription of third party tool. We have do manual follow-ups, what a waste of time!
- The end customer receives invoices from Paddle branding, so customers do not recognize they are our invoices and they get ignored. We have to reach out to them and inform. If the email invoices get white-labelled, it would be a huge time saver (and trust builder).
- Paddle support can be improved. It takes many hours for them to respond. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
