EDI systems are extremely complex. Most of the knowledge to use and adopt EDI is often hidden by mega
corporations in the industry to make you have to go through them and pay high fees in the process. Making it really hard as a small/medium size business to integrate by yourself. Orderful breaks that barrier.
EDI technology is old, very old. We went looking for an alternative way to integrate with our customers via EDI, Orderful offers an API based solution, bringing as much modernism as possible to this legacy system.
Customer support responds quickly and as always been helpful with our requests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Orderful's solution makes it way easier, but an EDI integration will still be complicated. To build the automated integration between our ERP and Orderful, we still had to invest significant dev time. Knowledge about EDI segments is still absolutely required. (I think they offer different services that might mitigate this point)
Not enough details or help is given in the integration regarding the meaning of certain EDI segments. We were many times left confused with a not so helpful description or a requirement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We chose Orderful as our EDI provider primarily because of its cloud-based nature, eliminating the need for a dedicated server. This flexibility was a big advantage for us, allowing for a more streamlined and modern approach to EDI integration.
Overall, the process had its challenges EDI is never completely smooth sailing but I would attribute most of the bumps to the complexities of EDI itself rather than to Orderful. Throughout the process, the Orderful team was helpful and proactive, assisting us in getting everything over the line. Special thanks to Ronak.
If you’re looking for a cloud-based EDI solution that removes some of the traditional pain points of server-dependent systems, Orderful is a solid choice. Would recommend! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Customer onboarding and training was lacking, had to hire a consultant to onboard our business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The partner portal function will never be widely adopted - We end up doing all of the onboarding, trade requests and setup for our partners Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've been using Orderful for our EDI needs for several months, and I can confidently say it's been a great experience. Their user-friendly web service platform is simple compared to many other platforms, provides levels of automation, and can allow the most inexperienced EDI user a positive experience allowing business to meet EDI requirements many retailers have. They are still some features that they are working through, but they have a road map and continue to expand the offering and support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We wanted to avoid black boxes when working with our EDI partners, and Orderful has enabled us to adapt to each partner's specific needs seamlessly. The Support Team has been fantastic, promptly addressing and resolving every request I’ve sent their way— and I’ve sent quite a few! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are some minor bugs from time to time Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The people. Scott and Alex have been absolutely amazing to work with. They work great with our internal teams, and are also extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable when dealing with our clients and their retailers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a relatively new partner, I'm still a little lost as to how Orderful helps us decrease our onboarding time as we haven't really seen the benefits of this just yet. Very eager to see how this metric progresses as we onboard new merchants and retailers though.
The response time from Orderful hasn't been the greatest as of late either. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The onboarding experience was great with Orderful. EDI implemenation is a pain, and Orderful translates EDI documents into digestible json documents with familiar REST concepts. The initial implementation can be daunting, but the Orderful team is always there for your support. We've onboarded two partners and a third coming soon, with relative ease. You can send them requirement documentation and they parse through those documents for you so you can test easily. It integrates with our system well and we send documents everyday with Orderful. When we were initially implementing, the keys that were translated from X12 documents didn't make a lot of sense. However, the Orderful support team were able to walk me through some steps to make the transition easier. I think they can improve on making keys more friendly for developers that are not too familiar with EDI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Orderful is a game changer in the EDI world and I believe Orderful will make all of the other cumbersome and old EDI platforms out of business. I have gone through 3 EDI implementations, and burned twice. Orderful was our 4th and last implementation. Their implementation team and customer service team are top notch, resulting a much much shorter implementation time for a new trading partner. The implementation was straight forward and adding additional partners is never a problem (there is no need to sign a new contract for any additional partner). Enough said, the proof is in the pudding. Give Orderful a try, as you are already lost (especially hair) when using other EDI platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
None that I can think of. That almost never happen when dealing with a software company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

If you understand APIs and EDI, you will find Orderful very easy to use. Implementation is measured in hours, not days. Connecting it to anything that can talk to an API is a no-brainer, and the customer support is first-rate. I've had issues resolved sometimes within minutes. I use the U/I every day to check the health of my EDI connections, whether they are working, and why they are not. But to appreciate what it can do, you have to use some other features, like tables for information you don't have in your data, and the fabulous rules engine. EDIFACT is still a work in progress. They advertised EDIFACT, and we recently discovered that one of the status settings for the CONTRL document has not yet been addressed in the UI, leaving you to believe that the document you sent, is overdue, when in fact, it was received and responded to. I like that you have easy access to all the things that are usually locked down in an EDI platform. Communication channels, trading partner relationships, and the document specifications and guidelines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing that I "dislike". I honestly can't think of any downsides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
