Flexibility! I've used Notion for fiction writing, team collaboration, project management, household management, and more. It's where I drop all of my random ideas and where I get my actual writing done. The nested pages make it easy to organized/reorganized. I've used it professionally and it's been easy to implement and integrate into our existing processes. This is a tool I use several times a week, personally. I wish I had more control over the header section of pages, but that's about it. I supposed there is a learning curve, but it's pretty quick and their support team is quick to respond if you get stuck. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've been using Notion for 5+ years now, and have been using it as my second brain for both personal and professional. On the business side, I am a UX designer, and one thing that I love to do is post all of my secondary and primary research and transcripts from user interviews, and then ask Notion to help me tweeze out the key pain points/ issues/ benefits etc. I also love the community, the shared templates, and the continuous improvements being brought into the tool. Setting up pages and linking data based can be a bit tricky. I'd love if I could not only ask the AI to help me with written content, but also with page setups. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, but it would be great if the tool was intuitive in that way where I could say what I'm trying to track or create, and it could suggest page layouts with linked subpages and databases or build tables for me and then provide a quick tutorial or explanation on how to navigate. For me, Notion it's a super cool app that can help you stay organized and productive! Sometimes is slow, specially when I have a lot of tables or database connected.

- To have integration with MS Outlook.

- Is not working on analyzing documents yet.

I've found Notion AI to be truly remarkable in my daily use. Its ability to assist me with writing and content creation is impressive. Honestly, after using it regularly, I haven't found any significant negative aspects to report. Like any AI tool, it has its natural limitations, but in the context of how I use it, it perfectly meets my needs. That I can manage my entire life in one platform. I've been using for about three years and I fall more in love with it every day. I've tried switching over to other journaling, habit tracking, task management, writing, and file management systems over these past few years as well and always end up coming back to Notion. The other apps often do the one thing better than Notion, but being able to tie everything together in one platform and have a master search for my digitial life is clutch. The "Option + click" feature to open pages from your favorites bar to open as a side panel has never worked in the time I've used Notion (Mac app, windows app, or web app). The AI in terms of searching my workspace is still hit or miss. Very inconsistent results and it often times straight up tells me it doesn't have access to the content on the page I "@ mentioned" - really? These are small things and should be a testament to how awesome Notion is because these are literally the only things I can think of that I'd like to see fixed. The automation features are lackign compared to the big players (make & Zapier) but I don't really consider this a negative because it's a new feature is is being very quickly developed so I'm excited about that! The new Notion AI assistant has been a game changer for me, allowing me to save hours of work by crafting summaries and follow-up emails to potential clients and my team. Notion AI helps me get unavoidable admin work done more quickly, freeing me up to focus on high-level development work (that's also more profitable!). That’s where I thrive, and Notion AI makes it more possible.

I am also keeping a robust habit tracker and energy log. Notion AI's ability to review the data and reflection notes, and then report on key themes, patterns and insights, is amazing. My most significant downside is not being able to highlight number cells in a database and see a quick total like you can in other spreadsheet apps. It only allows you to see totals from an entire database or calculations based on how you group the view. So, you can do it. It just takes more steps than I prefer.

Another limitation is the inability to bulk change the due dates of tasks and milestones relative to one another. I would like to be able to link the due dates of a set of related tasks, so that if one date changes, it automatically affects the rest of the related tasks. Currently, this has to be done manually as there is no automated way to accomplish this. (Unless there is a formula that can do this that I'm not aware of!) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Like how many have said before - It's like having a second brain. Being a native digital user (meaning I've pretty much been using a computer since my whole life) - I'm able to have an archive pretty much every aspect of my life in notion. I think sometimes notion is not as condusive to the creative arts. I wish there was an infinite canvas mode or mood board. Sometimes I can get trapped in tinkering in my space and sometimes am "over-organizing" my tasks. At worst it can sometimes feel like a distraction. Additionally I think notion can sometimes feel like a closed system and it's not very easy to get information out of notion. Also I think the reminders for due dates is lacking - and there should be easier intergration into google calendars. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love that I can use Notion simply and grow more complex in my use as time goes on. I really only use a fraction of its features, but the more i learn the more i love it. This is what I wanted, something to start simply, and then get more and more out of it as I go on. I used to use multiple apps and now i only use Notion, which is the best. My learning curve was steep. I would really love a weekly email giving me a new way to incorporate features or explaining features I dont understand, especially the Ai. I currently use a separate Ai (actually 2!) and would love to not need those apps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

That level of control is key for me because it helps me stay on top of everything, whether it’s work, personal goals, or anything in between. But sometimes, I can get a little too carried away with the endless possibilities for customization. I have to remind myself not to overcomplicate things because, with my perfectionist tendencies, I can easily find myself overthinking or getting bogged down by decision fatigue.
