- Muck Rack focuses on traditional media, so it misses smaller trade journals, news websites and blogs for your coverage reports and alerts
- Search strings for alerts are hard to program. The Boolean logic needs to be re-jiggered often to exclude irrelevant results, even though they were set up with the customer service team's help
- Alerts can sometimes break and send you multiple emails for the same alert more than two dozen times (has happened more than twice in the last month!)
- Email needs to be reconnected often because the integration into the Pitch tool breaks Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the journalist search function. It helps me find journalists for myself and my coworkers to create and complete and comprehensive media list Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wouldn't say I like that the search engine needs the name to match the journalist's name. I.e., if a journalist goes by both Robert and Bob, only one of those names will work Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When a story is updated on the website, the date on the search engine changes. For instance, a story dated Feb. 2, 2021 is actually from four years earlier but was recently updated or referenced in social media.
