One place where you can get all the files. No need to ask anyone where to get the files. Usually, organizations will have different solutions for storing files. One will be there in teams and another in shared drive. Here we can find everything in one place.it is solving the issue of shared drive's local storages and cloud storage. Here it will be where you can find everything because this can be used for storing multiple files at the exact location. Even if we have different departments, we can differentiate them based on access so that a particular department can access that specific folder only. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We are not able to look for the files based in the date. That seems to be one issue. Another is setting up a server is a bit difficult. You need to consult the admin team. Specifically, a Microsoft Server operating system to get the MOVEit installed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I am a Moveit Administrator in my organization from 4+ years. This is a revenue cycle management company that requires millions of files transfer on a daily basis.
I am pleased to say that MoveIT automation has significantly reduced the time it takes for a develoment team to develop scripts that can transfer larger number of files to various client/vendor SFTPs.
Also, the integration and implementation is the best piece. With every update, the security and the features are enhanced which keeps us excited.
We are also implementing MoveIT transfer in our environment this year, replacing our current SFTP system. Already, the features Transfer supports is a great add on which we are looking to gain.

There are a few times when getting hold of customer support executive was a little time consuming. Also, I would like to suggest that whenever there are new upgrades, we would like to set up a pre-upgrade call with the support, discussing the pre-requisites and the features in the upgrade version.
Apart from the above, Moveit is a life saver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My companies user base loves the Cloud Based MoveIt! IT is always up, never down and is frequently used by our employees. Probably the best thing about it is it's ease of use which makes the adoption rate very high by all users. Uploading, downloading, requesting and sharing are all very easy to perform. The limited role options in administrative user creation. Only being able to be an Admin, FileAdmin or user is very limiting. I would like to see a Help Desk role implemented so I dont have to have Admin level users perform basic password resets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that MOVEit is simple to maintain and implement, very little downtime if you're having it on prem. Also, easy to use and self-explanatory for a regular user. I've been using it for 10 years now on a daily basis and happy with it. Very little issues, if there is any - easy to troubleshoot and for more difficult ones there is a great technical support available. Integration hasn't taken long. Overall, MOVEit is a respectful product in the Managed File Transfer world. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can't think of a dislike about this product at the moment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
MOVEIT is a great product with immense functionality and amazing add on modules that really allow us to control not only movement of files into and out of the estate, but also the movement of files within the estate. The automation is simple, yet feature rich, and we rely on it daily for various activities. The logging is sufficient that when something goes wrong , not only can we rule out MOVEit being the problem, but it also guides us to where the problem may be and expedites resolution of the issue.
Progress support is one of the better support models I've come across. The help guides actually help, and the community is a great place to find answers. 8 out of 10 times the answers are in the community already, or in the technical guides, and we dont need to contact support. But when we do, they are always swift to respond.
Patches to both Transfer and Automation are frequent and easy to implement.
I couldnt ask for more from these products really. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is a tricky one to answer as its perfect for our needs. Infact it has some features we dont even use. If there was anything that is slightly annoying, its that we dont have the ability to export jobs into a excel file very easily so we cant see a list of jobs at a high level (such as name, schedule, start and end points etc). Having this list would make administering jobs a lot simpler as users could refence the job number in any tickets they raise with us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The application is easier to integrate with most of the aplication as it is available for connection in multiple protocols including the latest cloud storage options. Its flexible and comprehensive reporting makes it ideal for efficient and compliant file transfer management considering my organization likes to track every file going out of the organization. Sometimes we do not get proper solution from the Progress customer care for the issues we face with the application. Often times, you'll have to find the solution on you own, but its quite eay if you understand the application well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
MOVEit Automation is a simple yet powerful tool. It is easy to train those who will use it. MOVEit Transfer is a solid platform that has run our secure FTP site well for many years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
With the many options for doing things in MOVEit Automation, it can be a bit confusing. A traditional task is reasonably straightforward, while advanced tasks offer more power but don't seem to abide by the same logic, sometimes causing unexpected outcomes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
MoveIt allows you to transfer files to and from a number of different sources and destinations using different protocols. Mine include SFTP, HTTP, UNC, FTPNT. It gets the job done, but this product can be so much better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You can only attach one file per email.
You can't disable algorithms and other things across all hosts with a single click.
You can't trap more than one file error per task run. It only reports the last error.
You can't remove an email address from multiple tasks at once. You have to go into each task and into each email type (Success, Failure, No Files). Very tedious...
You can't copy/clone an entire section of code in a task. You can only clone one line at a time.
You can't be in the config of a task and manually run another job if there is a problem. It makes you save what you are doing and takes you back to the beginning of the job when you want to do more configuration.
Reporting of hosts and tasks is awful and one of the worst that I have ever seen. Please get rid of the XML. It is difficult to work with when you have so many different configuration types. Please put more config info into the database, so that we can write queries and extract the data ourselves. The XML exports are the worst. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
MOVEit Automation has proven to be a very adaptable and efficient file transfer tool, with excellent functionality and an intuitive user interface. I particularly like the advanced task programmability and scripting functionality . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Two main dislikes: 1) the inabilty to have a fixed report format so there is a constant need to resize column widths
2) the need to click Show More many times when wishing to browse for files when there are hundreds returned
3) the inability to sort in the Browse returned files Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The web user interface is easy to navigate and provides a very gentle learning curve for new users. The supporting documentation is generally excellent, and the community seem very responsive. We use the MOVEit extensively on our own servers and to connect to third parties. Performance is very rarely an issue. It connects easily to a range of different host types. There have been a number of security scares over the years.
Sometimes more complicated file transfer processes are difficult to create due to slightly odd choices about what can and can't be done with "macros". Connections with some host types have limited options, not always making it easy to secure the connections in the way we'd prefer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
