The thing I like best about Motive is all of the features they have and the settings for the features that I can tweak to my liking. The customer support is wildly good as well! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I believe the speed limit tracking isnt the most acurate it could be. I'm not sure why Motive doesn't use the AI to track speed limit signs as drivers pass them and store it in a system to know if a driver is speeding or not.
Motive could store speed limit data in a system that lets people see the last time a speed limit was updated and a screen shot of every speed limit sign to instill trust in consumers of acurately logged speed limits via the AI camera.
Once gather some of the most up to date and acurate speed limit data any company would have you could then let other companies use that data for a fee and even make money with that data.
I could go more in depth with this, Motive team call me :D Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The thing I like and appreciate the most about Motive is my Account Manager Ron! Since the moment Ron was assigned to our Motive account my life got easier, as he continues to go above and beyond for both myself and the drivers. I have trialed out different ELDs in the past, and I honestly feel that Motive takes the #1 spot as the best ELD provider on the market today. One of the biggest contributing factors to their success I feel is the fact that Motive assigns an Account Manager to every account at the start. Having that "one-point" contact makes you feel much more at ease and less stressed, as you know someone will be there to help you if needed. I have seen what some of the other competitors (such as Samsara) have to offer for customer support, and there is no comparison between the customer service Motive offers and the support the competition offers. I oversee 4 different companies that use Motive on a daily basis, and right from the time that each of them implemented Motive into their fleets to now, it has been a seemless integration due to the fact that the software is so easy to setup and use. We have been a customer of Motive for over seven years, and from the start, we noticed an issue with the software creating "false violations" on our driver's logs. We alerted the support team immediately about this issue, but unfortunately, it wasn't deemed a priority to be fixed (we are still facing this issue today). Although this sounds like a major issue it really isnt as noone sees the false violations besides driver and back office. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Updated review............
Motive is so far ahead of their competition, and it's because they are relentless in their pursuit of perfection!! Never satisfied , updates and tweaks to their operating system as well as additions based on consumer input keeps Motive staying ahead of all others in my honest opinion. And I like that they listen to consumer feedback and actually implement our ideas.
Since we have started using Motive my fleet management has seen a decidedly uptick in my FCSMA ratings and score. I get email alerts when any infractions occur and am able to caoch the driver in real time . Also any time I have a technical issue They are always by the phone 24/7 and the wait time is almost non existent. Lots of stramlined benefits to using their system from the IFTA reports by using their Fleet card and accident reoports when one does occur. Lots of tracking ability to help keep my drivers honest and inline about work hours and locations, not to mention HOS Logs... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Update ................ Not as many disconnections but still enough. Seems like every time thye roll out something new something old goes wonky , but they always eventually get it fixed too.
One downsided is their system does disconnect a lot when the drivers are out in the sticks. Signal loss does occur but the GPS tracking does continue to work . But you do have to assign those trips later . Can be glitchy at times wich is frustrating , but they are always there to help fix any issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like using motive for 2 things mainly, it is accurate and easy to use even on the go! it is very easy to implement on a day to day basis as we are a trucking company so we use it daily. it is also very easy to integrate with our trucking software. customer support is also a key feature as to why we use motive as they are always available for us to use if need be. There isn't a lot wrong with motive, sometimes it lags due to internet issues but overall i cant say anything else wrong with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We transitioned our PE-backed enterprise fleet from a 3-year contract with Samsara to Motive. We were looking for a more efficient system focused on service, not just the sale. We were looking for a system that communicated effectively with vehicle ECM without locking our vehicles in park. We were looking for better service and solutions, not just responses. We were looking for ease of use for our 104 terminal managers across 28 states and our drivers. We wanted a DVIR and maintenance tracking. We wanted a better reporting platform. We were looking for accuracy so we could cut down on wasted labor. With Samsara's inaccuracies, we wanted accuracy to drive an incentive program that drivers and management could trust and stand behind with big-picture, factual data. We wanted image quality and shutter speed that allowed us to identify hit-and-run drivers so we could subrogate. We wanted a company that had values and a customer-centric focus. We wanted a system that could grow with us through M&As and the ability to structure permissions and access by terminal and to onboard new terminals or businesses seamlessly. We got all of this with Motive and more. As someone who uses these systems daily at a practical level, I do not see how anyone would choose Samsara over Motive. Don't make the wrong decision by choosing Samsara as a vendor; I want to give you some practical perspective to help you make the correct one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Motive can be aggressive in it's contact when trying to resolve your support issues. Maybe that's a good thing, maybe that's a bad thing, but they will message you continuously if there is something you're waiting on to solve your issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Very End User friendly for drivers to utilize as an ELD Compliance Solution. Have used the tool for several years and have found it to be very simple to install, train, and utilize for ELD Compliance, M&R Diagnostics, Risk Management tools (dash cams), and to pull data and have 24/7 breadcrumb tracking, driver coaching, etc. Great solution for Class 8 trucking requirements. We use it daily, 24/7, for all needs. Customer Support is strong, especially during initial implementation, while drawing up scoreboards and data management tools, as well as providing visibility to operations and compliance needs. Very simple to install, integrate with systems, train drivers and staff for daily use, and constant monitoring. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Motive has had challenges keeping up with inventory demands, at times, if there is a significant increase in capacity requiring hardware such as: tablets, ELD Transponders, Dash Cams, etc. They are responsive and do all, at least visibily, to resolve quickly and provide needed tools/hardware ASAP. Very responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Our cooperation with Motive went through years and we would definitely recommend this ELD provider to the new castomers.
First of all Motive has 24/7 technical support. Second of all the Motive application is quite easy to work with even if you have never experienced with such of type of driver`s apps. Just as well as Fleet admin board. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We don't really like some of the new Motive updates, they usually make our work more difficult. Also, due to updates, the application starts to glitch sometimes, but at the same time -it takes a few days for them to fix the technical issue with the web site or with the app.
We are also having an issue lately with outdated firmware of ELDs. It is causing an inconvenience for our drivers and for us as well when the ELD appears outdated or malfunctioned. Even after implementing the updating steps - it is not guaranteed that it will work properly after.
We would really appreciate if the delivery of orders could be a bit faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have been using Motive for over 6 years now. It is its comprehensive, user-friendly platform for managing our fleet operations here at Matrix Logistics. I love it because it simplifies everything from tracking vehicles in real-time to ensuring compliance and optimizing fuel usage. All great features make it easy to access actionable insights and stay on top of our fleet performance.
Another standout feature is the dedicated support from our Motive’s Customer Success Manager - TRAVIS COBBE, who is always proactive in providing guidance, addressing concerns, and helping us leverage the platform to its fullest. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Occasionaly the system slowdowns or lags which impacts the team's efficiency, especially during peak usage times.
The platform could also benefit from more customization options for reporting and data visualization, as well as more frequent updates to address user feedback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really like Motive because it offers a seamless and efficient way to manage fleet operations. i think that, for someone who values real-time data, the GPS tracking feature is a game changer—it that lets me easily monitor driver locations, ensure routes are optimized, and minimizing delays and improving delivery times. Also the website is intuitive so you won't have problems checking all the features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
i think that the reporting tools could benefit from more customization options on motive. Some users might find that they need more flexibility in generating specific reports that suit their unique needs. Lastly, occasional connectivity issues with GPS tracking have been reported on my end and some of my colleagues who use the platform, which can be frustrating if you're relying on real-time updates for important operations. Overall, while Motive is a solid tool, this is something i think that could be fine-tuned for a smoother experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Motive is not particularly complicated to use, but at times the platform/dashboard feel a bit clunky. We are not in a typical transportation industry such as a trucking company, so my opinions are based on applicable details for us. The proram has made many improvements over the years in terms of location accuracy and alerts. However, I still think it could be better and more reliable. GPS specific locations are not always as accurate as they should be in my opinion but for the most part, give you a good picture of your fleet. The devices are not complicated to install and typically don't take much time to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My instances with customer servce are hit and miss. I have had pleasant interactions with support, as well as not so pleasant interactions. For the most part, the positive outweigh the negative, but the negaive seem to resonate longer. The language barrier with technicians can be awful with certain folks, making an already frustrating situation more frustrating. Trying to explain issues is often wuite difficult to do when both parties are struggling to understand the other. The price point is not terrible, but could be better in comparrison to some of the competition and what is being offered. Also the last devices I needed to install had to be done on the dashboard and could not be done through the mobile app or even mobile browser. This was very frustrating to deal with. Especially when installing many devices at a time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
