What do you like best about Motive?

My company uses Motive for geo tracking, safety alerts, the cameras, and a lot more! We needed the system to help us with more and the Motive team listened and helped design a special report to help us track what we needed. They are always open to suggestions and wanting to help in anyway they can. We use this report daily in my department and it has helped us void out human entry error into our process. What do you dislike about Motive?

What problems is Motive solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have a large fleet that spans multiple states. It's part of my job to keep tabs on their usage and hour/odometer readings for multiple things my company needs to do accurate accounting and preventative care. Our previous systems relied on accurate input from drivers. Motive helped create a report for our company that gives us up to date meter readings that come straight from the engine. What do you like best about Motive?

The app is easy to use to quickly locate a truck. I like that I'm able to see if the truck is moving or stopped so I know when they are able to talk or if they may be on their break sleeping. Has become part of my daily routine to check truck locations every morning. Customer support is readily available for dispatchers and drivers. I love that Motive easily integrates with multiple tracking software companies. Very easy to set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Motive?

What do you like best about Motive?

It was easy for our drivers to learn. The IFTA reports are very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Motive?

We have issues with equipment not being compatible. I would like to see more information on the logs such as Signature being date/time stamped. Our previous program provided this. We have issues with the drivers not showing off duty, logs not signed, etc. on the Admin side but the drivers will send screenshots showing it correctly on their side. Would like to see when they make edits to their times. Pre & post trips do not function correctly. If the driver tries to use their 15 minutes of time, it will not allow them to sign it. They have to quickly select everything then click on save so it looks like their inspections only took 2 minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Motive?

I use Motive in my job for fuel management purposes. I use it on a daily basis when it comes to verifying odometer readings when dealing with mileage mistakes and incorrect readings when drivers are entering their odometer readings in our other fueling program. Its been blessing and a time saver having Motive for issues like these because I can quickly go to the driver's daily logs under the compliance tab and confirm or get the correct odometer reading for the specific day that I'm needing. No more having to contact the dispatcher to connect with the driver and waiting to get this information. Its also been a great tool to be able to confirm what driver is driving which truck and being able to locate and see their route they have taken. Another benefit with this program is the fact that it pairs well with the other programs that we currently use to monitor other things, like the trucks for example, we are currently in the process of switching over from physical driver vehicle inspection reports to digital inspection reports and are able to put inspections from one program into Motive as well and that makes it easy for the drivers to know when they have inspections coming up that is due on their equipment. What do you dislike about Motive?

I don't really have any major complaints regarding Motive, but if I did, it would be that sometimes when the outages/technical problems happen, they aren't able to fix them right away so Motive can be down for some time. But I can say that its not because customer support and tech support aren't trying, they definately get to work when there is a proble going on to try to reslove it quickly. What do you like best about Motive?

The ease of downloading reports and having that instant data is amazing.The data Motive gives has helped with compliance, who is at fault in an accident, utlization of vehiles and when to get rid of them, and so much more. What do you dislike about Motive?

One thing i did noticed and we could go without is the amount of follow ups from Motive when discussing a new device/process for our vehicles. When discussing to possibly go with the Dash Cams, Spends Cards, Etc., it takes time to make this decision. We have also seen a few problems arise Motive is still in progress on finidng a solution. What problems is Motive solving and how is that benefiting you?

At times my driver gives little detail about his location, other than perhaps a mile marker. I can pinpoint the location on a map and may times have a full street address on Motive. This is helpful when directing a driver and it is really helpful when a truck/ container has mechanical or tire issue so we can direct vendors accurately. I can keep track of HOS of service easily, to make informed decisions. I can review driving history when questions need to be answered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Motive?

The Motive cameras alone have saved our skin countless times already with regard to what happens both outside our taxis (accidents) and inside the cabs (disputes, false claims, exagerated complaints, etc.) So many times the cameras have disproven what has been alleged to have occurred regarding either an accident or some claim from inside the taxis. What used to take us days or even weeks to investigate (basically he said/she said) now takes a matter of minutes or even seconds. The camera doesn't lie, and we can almost instantly provide the evidence to whoever needs it. This has shut down any and all false accusations instantly and reversed liability in the event of accidents countless times already. The feedback features we receive re stats/info on the internals of the vehicles has been helpful as well. The tracking of drivers/vehicles has been incredibly useful as well. What do you dislike about Motive?

I think the portal for pulling up vids quickly could be a little more intuitive for those of us who are a little less "tech savvy." The cameras can come unplugged a little too easily from time to time too. Other than those small things--excellent product! Everyone is always very helpful when a piece of equipment occassionally isn't working correctly. They are also very helpful when specific requests are made to retrieve video, stats, etc. They've also reached out to us and had dedicated training sessions to learn valuable features we hadn't even tapped into before. What do you like best about Motive?

The platform is user-friendly, similar to an iPhone or a computer, and offers excellent and quick support. Drivers and managers found it easy to transition to the new system. It serves as our sole platform for managing our 28 drivers and tracking their locations to facilitate efficient dispatching. The phone app is helpful when I am away from my desk, or when they have to work on Saturdays, as I can still keep an eye on the movement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Motive?

Sometimes, it can be challenging to determine why something isn't working, and that's when I reach out for support. Regardless of the issue, I either contact my customer support or call my personal IT technician. What do you like best about Motive?

I switched my fleet over to Motive over a couple of years now, and my return on investments was almost immediate.

The hardware was simple to install and the software was simple enough to learn within the first couple of weeks. Support was one call or chat away with helpful advise on how to overcome any little bumps we came across.

When first looking to transition over from my previous carrier, the team took their time to listen to all of our needs and made sure that we were in good hands with making this change.

What do you like best about Motive?

The thing I like best about Motive is all of the features they have and the settings for the features that I can tweak to my liking. The customer support is wildly good as well! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Motive?

I believe the speed limit tracking isnt the most acurate it could be. I'm not sure why Motive doesn't use the AI to track speed limit signs as drivers pass them and store it in a system to know if a driver is speeding or not.

Motive could store speed limit data in a system that lets people see the last time a speed limit was updated and a screen shot of every speed limit sign to instill trust in consumers of acurately logged speed limits via the AI camera.

Once gather some of the most up to date and acurate speed limit data any company would have you could then let other companies use that data for a fee and even make money with that data.
