I like using motive for 2 things mainly, it is accurate and easy to use even on the go! it is very easy to implement on a day to day basis as we are a trucking company so we use it daily. it is also very easy to integrate with our trucking software. customer support is also a key feature as to why we use motive as they are always available for us to use if need be. The customer service for Motive is responsive and careful. We've been with Motive for 4 years now, and navigating the system as it has developed has been interesting, but at least we know that they are always trying to make improvements. The address for where our trucks are at is an awesome feature, and I've found it very easy to find our trucks wherever they may be in the US and Canada. When hooking the ELD to the truck, the directions were very simple and easy to follow. This tool is imperative for our operations team. Even our people in accounting use their access to check drive history and to make sure our guys don't miss out on breakdown pay, which our guys neglect filling out paperwork. It seems extremely accurate. Management and accounting use Motive several times a day. We would be crippled without this tool and I don't know how we ran without it. I have been using Motive for a while and as a Safety manager in trucking it made my job easier. Motive has faetures for a better safety managemant and it's very useful if you want to improve your company Safety score. It shows details as disconnects, violations and it has many coaching events. I find only two negative things on Motive. First, on the Settings (grey) dashboard, when selecting the "Drivers" section, it doesn’t allow you to select drivers by name. Instead, they appear mixed up, which makes it a bit difficult to organize and manage them quickly. This could use some improvement for better efficiency. Second, I find that Motive doesn’t offer training courses for drivers. While there are some great resources available for fleet managers, as a Safety Manager, it’s challenging for me to explain my perspective on the driver app to the drivers without more targeted training options. There are many aspects of Motive that I like. The best part of Motive is the software is easy, if you need to review driver logs for HOS or events it is so simple. Keeping the drivers informed is important and Motive makes this easy as well. The management and reporting side of the application are very nice and easy to use, from the driver aspect the app just works based on the settings that the company sets. There is a report for just about any amount of knowledge you want to glean from the app and there is just about any integration you could hope for. Receiving emergency service calls can throw a wrench in your daily schedule. With Motive it has streamlined my response time to customers because I can now accurately provide an ETA for the technicians arrival. The option to find my closest truck to "X" address is the biggest help in my day to day responsibility. I spend less time making phone calls to find out the locations of our techs which allows me to provide a faster response time to our customers. I have not ran into a downside yet, I am still learning different tools the site has offer. There are a lot of different options to choose from, if there was a way to customize only using "X" tools to customize to the needs of the user, that could be helpful but not a deal break whatsoever. When i click on a unit location to open in Google maps, I only want to know where it is and it opens with a route from my current location to the unit location. Billing is a problematic situation. They have no area to enter a swift code to make billing easier for Canadian companies who want the payment taken from their bank account.
Billing does not send out invoices in time and so you have to ask for the invoice to be sent out. In turn, causes payment delays. If they do send the invoice out, they send it with "past due" invoices they are inquiring about even though payments are sent a long time and just haven't been properly received in their system.

The easily accessible tabs that give in depth information regarding each of your drivers. You can identify and monitor as a whole or manage each as an individual unit. We frequently get feedback that the ELDs lose connection with mobile devices. This causes frustration and confusion when it comes to log compliance. This software is so user friendly and simple to use. There is so much information that the monitors can pull, and the camera's are such high quality! We have over 40 trackers and cameras installed and as we grow, we will add more to our system. From tracking trucking times, to traffic notification, too incident investigations and accident reviews, this system can do it all. Not to mention the maintenance tracking! Check it out! We seem to change reps way too often. It would be nice to build a relationship with one person. It makes you a bit shy to do so when you know it is only a matter of time before that person is gone and you are on to the next rep. The AI Dash cam has a video qulaity issue. The tape that is used on the bracket is so strong it does not come off in times of replacing a windshield or if a driver leaves. We have been waiting for over a month for replacement brackets and have not seen anything yet. I have emailed several times and have not seen anything other than "they were sent".
