When scheduling social media post through the Meltwater platform sometimes the tagging feature is unavailable. Also, I dislike that you don't get the benefit of having a premium X account and it's increase character usage while scheduling posts using Meltwater. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love how responsive their team is to helping you achieve your goals with their program. They are helpful in teaching us best practices when using their system and are very responsive to questions and inquiries. Additionally, their system is constantly improving and getting new features. A tool is only useful if the person using it is knowledgeable about how to use it. So, the things I dislike are the parts that I need more training to fully utilize. The only other parts is that sometimes with new updates older features get moved and it can be harder to locate them (i.e. content streams used to be available as a widget in reports and now it is only available through reports automatically made from a search). It can capture most of the data from most platforms. Easy to understand. They also provide support such as tutorials and live agents to help us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sentiments tagging is still a challenge, especially when getting a high volume of data. It would be nice if there was a way to just get a data sample that you can customize depending on the need. so that if you need to manually tag the sentiment if won't be so overwhelming and we can rid of extracting the data and manually do the sampling.
Also, the data delay should be improved. Currently, I understand that there's a 2 hour delay and that's a set-back especially for trend monitoring. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Meltwater does exactly I need it to do - from social listening, to media lists, to sending press releases. It's easy to use and I check the alerts every day. I also appreciate the Meltwater community and their training/certification programs. The staff communication and support has been fantastic. The software helps us identify fine-tuned trends in engagement from multiple use cases. We use the software to send newsletters to hundreds of people every Monday morning. Startup was a long process due to the number of queries we had but the Meltwater staff threw all their energy at it and we had a ton of support. We had to be creative when integrating it into our workflow but the Meltwater team supported our vision and is continually helping us improve our reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The learning curve can be a bit steep but there are great guides available and the interface is very intuitive. The system is so good that it makes it "sensitive." If you are not careful about your boolean and keywording, you might pick up irrelevant information. However, this is not a fault of Meltwater's system. It's something the user has to work on identifying and addressing over time. If I say "shoes," I have to be ready to specify, otherwise every use of "shoes" will come up in my search. It's kind of fun to hone in on the boolean and keywords I need to find what I am looking for but I could see some folks getting frustrated with picking up "noise."
