Meltwater has been super easy to use. It's very user-friendly and quick to find what feature I'm looking to use. I use it almost every day for marketing and communications purposes; it's helped with my day-to-day work. I really like the scheduling feature on Meltwater, which allows you to plan ahead and choose the ideal time to post based on the activity on your page. Meltwater has helped us immensley in creating daily media round ups for our company. It's super simple to create the searches and find daily relevant news based on key words to keep up to date on the industry and how far our reach of in media goes. We also use it to create monthly social media reports and can easily see who our audience it and what content is perfoming the best. Meltwater's daily digests and robust reporting dashboards make it easy to see exactly what I need! Each morning I start my day reading through the daily digest to see if there are any customer support fires to put out. I love how Meltwater Radarly provides a comprehensive overview of social media trends. It enables me to track current and past conversations about our product offering in real-time, which is crucial for understanding player sentiment and preferences. Meltwater has been supporting us for several years on two main points: alerting and influencer marketing. The configuration of searches is facilitated with teams that are attentive and very proactive, allowing us to regularly update terms and track daily outcomes thanks to reports, and even live on the hottest topics with Slack integration! Regarding influence, the tool is very fast and allows us to scrutinize each account before collaborations to ensure the right choice is made, before seeing statistics rise in real-time to best follow the strategy! I don't see any major drawbacks to using Meltwater except for the presentation of the data. There is so much data collected that the dashboards can sometimes be complex and it can be difficult to find the key information. Nevertheless, the user interface of the tool remains good and it's better to be in this position and have too much information than not enough! I like how easy it is to use. We use Engage daily for our work and have been able to keep better track of our communications content and key metrics. The Meltwater team is also supportive and has quickly helped solve any challenge we've had and trained us on anything we'd like to learn about their platforms. I often struggle with using the Engage app. It is inconvenient to have to type in my login information every time I try to use it. It's a small step but I don't have to do this with most other apps. Additionally, the app sometimes doesn't load the posts that I've drafted in the online version. I would love to use the app more, but it's not as easy to edit and reschedule posts. It's incredibly user intuitive, moreso than its competitors that I have had exeprience utilizing in the past. The data it puts out is reliable and readable in the various visualizations it has available. Compared to other social listening software platforms, Meltwater does not have the same amount of historical data available (1 year of social media data vs. 5, 10, 15 years) - this has caused some issues in our analyses, as it would be preferable to have more context around the trends. Additionally, there is not as much personalization to the visualizations as we have found in other platforms - the charts cannot be segmented/subsegemented to the same level of detail. The ability to create custom bios to filter specifically for certain audiences is incredibly useful - for my company projects, we need the ability to tailor by specific audiences. Meltwater provides us with invaluable data and insights. With the Explore function, we can monitor online conversations about our organization and related areas, while also comparing those discussions to competitor activity and analyzing trends over different time periods. My favorite feature, however, is the "best time to post" recommendations within the Engage function. By analyzing our audience’s activity and peak online times, Meltwater suggests optimal posting times, significantly boosting our engagement across all social media platforms. There’s nothing I dislike about Meltwater. However, I do wish platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook had less restrictive privacy regulations, as accessing more data would be incredibly useful for our research and insights - but that's a social platform issue, not a Meltwater issue. I've been using Meltwater for our social media management and social listening, and it has completely transformed the way we approach digital marketing. The platform's user-friendly interface allows me to effortlessly schedule and publish content across multiple channels, while also providing real-time insights into how our brand is performing. I especially love the social listening features, which let me track brand mentions, monitor competitor activity, and understand audience sentiment, all in one place. The ability to quickly assess trends and adjust our strategy has made a huge difference in our approach.

One aspect of Meltwater that I find a bit frustrating is the "Every Mention" tag. Whenever I post something on social media and mention my company, I receive an alert about my own post. While I understand the value of tracking mentions, it would be much more useful to only receive alerts about mentions made by others, rather than my own content. The current setup can make it difficult to differentiate between organic mentions from customers, followers, or the media, and my own posts. It would be great if Meltwater could offer a way to filter out alerts for self-mentions, allowing me to focus on external engagement and relevant conversations around my brand.
