What do you like best about Homebase?

It is so nice to be able to communicate with staff and handle scheduling, time off, and availabilty all in one app. At my previous jobs it was difficult trying to communicate through text messages and emails and trying to match everything and make sure my excel spread sheet schedule matched with everyones needs. So to have everything I need in one place has saved me so much time and energy!!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Homebase?

For a while it seemed like there were constant updates happening. Typically an app will go through and explain what is new and how to navigate the updates but Homebase didn't really do that, which was frustrating. However, the app is relatively user friendly and intuitive (if you are tech savvy). I wish I could adjust the view of the work/schedule week. For example, our store is closed Mondays and Tuesdays, so our work week is from Wednesday through Sunday. I wish I could have Wednesday-Sunday on the same page but I have to flip back and forth between the weeks to make sure I am scheduling my staff fairly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Homebase?

We really love this platform and use the free version... DAILY!! It's a great way to manage our schedule (for our retail store). It's easy to use for building schedules, as well a managing availability. Our Team can also swap shifts or request coverage fairly easily. I like that they offer a payroll option, and would use that if we were not already running payroll through Quickbooks. I've recommended it to friends who have shops and they are using it. I even share an employee with one of the shops, and our joint employee can see and show their availability in a single view on their phone/app. Love that! It's easy to implement, and when I['ve needed support, they've been responsive and easy to work with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Homebase?

I have an employee who can't figure out the features - such as asking for time off, or integrating it with her phone calendar. The calendar intgeration is also a bit wiggy, as it creates multiple instances on the same day (more than 5, and closer to 10) for a single shift. That part isn't fun when you get notifications from your calendar and they are in multiples. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Homebase?

It seems relatively easy to use. At least, their initial implementatio was decent, not withstanding the fact that the system freaks out if you have an employee whose previous company also used Homebase. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Homebase?

When things go wrong, don't think their tech support cares to help you, even if the issue is time-sensitive, like needing to approve payroll and not being able to log in. But the worst thing is, we recently discovered an error in a payroll, we called them to see how we can fix it, and their solution was to "VOID" that payroll, and run an "off-cycle" payroll. You would think that having voided the wrong payroll, they would not try to take money for the tax withholding for the VOIDED payroll, right? WRONG!!! They happily took out $5.5k from our account, and guess what, they then took out another 5k from our account four days later! When I asked for a refund pronto, they pretty much shrugged and said "too bad, it will take 5-7 business days to process a refund." Talk about thievery! And they claim to be helping small businesses! Yeah right, more like helping themselves to small businesses' money! Avoid like the plague. Their slow customer support, plus their apparent belief that they can take and keep our money, is proof that they really don't care about their customers. I'd rather pay more for an honest service with decent customer support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Homebase?

I like to open up the app and see a full daily view of everyone working, their shifts, department. The layout of the schedule makes it easier to view and see if any extra time is available to work. You can send messages right there in the app, request time off, swap shifts if allowed, it calculates your pay after every shift so you know an estimate of what your check will be at the end of the week. What do you dislike about Homebase?

Needs to be a little more easier to access for requesting time for those that work overnight. It should give you the shift option or explain step by step how to request a day off when you work overnight or you may end up trying to take to much time off than you planned and it could be denied. What do you like best about Homebase?

It is quite tech saavy - they have a pretty simple interface that is accessible between mobile and desktop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Homebase?

It is very buggy - there are times when shifts are duplicated for no reason and when I remove one of the duplicated shifts - the entire shift disappears. That is frustrating. When building out a schedule - there is an annoying feature that asks you to copy week to week and you can't move to the following week without selecting an option. Additionally, their payroll is not great - dates are changed, communication is lacking and ultimately this is not a friendly service if you are looking for help in a timely fashion. What do you like best about Homebase?

Homebase is really easy for me and my employees to use. Making edits to timecards and tracking pounch in and out times is a breeze with Homebase. I also love the chat feature where I can chat directly with my employyes and with my team. the ease of use and the amount of features on this app are awsome. What do you like best about Homebase?

For our use case, this app was a good comprimise between some other offerings that had more features but charged way more for those features. I'm learning that there is a reason for this, this app is not very good when you take into account their support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

They were very helpful and interested in my needs prior to signing me up and now that we paid and signed up, its all crickets on their end, They have not replied to multiple customer service requests i've made. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
