From the sales/marketing inital meetings, to the ease of implementation, to the amazing continunig support crew, GoCo employees and its software are helpful, friendly, thorough, easy, and fun! Both the desktop and mobile versions of GoCo are very much user friendly, creatively designed, and easy to learn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
GoCo is very much a-la-carte as far as features and pricing, which is great, but it also has it's draw backs. I wish more was included in the TimeOff Request feature/pricing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

GoCo is incredibly intuitive and easy to use. The interface is visually appealing and natural to work through; the placement of the menu and the design of the pages makes it both comfortable and sensible.
When testing different products to choose from, GoCo was by far the best option sampled; the most comprehensive, very succinct, and was an easy first choice.
Workflows are smooth to transition and progress through, and documents are easy to assemble, sign, and task.

The billing/time sheets weren't flexible in the way our current time card system allows for our case managers billing to different grants, but it seemed that HR found a work around. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Being able to track PTO, open enrollment, and onboarding. It has been easy to use and getting set up wasn't a difficult task. Support from GoCo to get the project rolling has been great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

GoCo's new hire process is very smooth for onboarding new employees and getting their new hire paperwork completed. Benefit enrollment for new hires, and for annual open enrollment is also very smooth. We've actually received feedback from our employees on how easy it is to use. Workflows aren't very intuitive. I'd also like a more robust reporting feature that can pull data from anywhere in the system (for example, custom fields, expiration dates, etc.). Finally, I'd like the ACA reporting to be able to pull information for the 1095-Cs. All the information for these things are in the system, it's just a matter of getting them out. GoCo's workflows have been a true time saver for us, especially when it comes to onboarding new team members but also as it pertains to automating various other processes e.g., offboarding, 30/60/90 day reviews, etc. The ability to obtain digital signatures and assign tasks to different team members is great. The workflows make it easy to ensure that company processes are carried out completely, consistently, and with clear accountability. Workflows are the true power of GoCo!
GoCo enables us to store essential employee data and access it very easily. The system's interface is easy to use for HR and for employees. I am in and out of GoCo all day. The app is well-designed and it's great to have the info I need at all times at my fingertips, even if I am out of the office.
Our account management team at GoCo (shoutout to Hao and Ozzy!!) has gone out of their way to listen to our issues and try to work with us to fix them. While the fixes haven't been perfect and sometimes we are left waiting for the software to catch up with our needs, we really do appreciate the time and attention that has been given to helping us. Hao and Ozzy are incredibly responsive, empathetic and knowledgeable and have been true partners to us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think GoCo has sometimes struggled with prioritizing essential features on their software development roadmap. For example, we waited for almost a year before the ability to duplicate documents was added. The lack of ability to do this was a huge time suck but GoCo prioritized other cosmetic GUI-related items before getting around to adding document duplication to the software. Kudos to the company though - cloning documents is now very easy! Next I'd love for the performance management process to enable downloading the the final document. This is important as employees often want to keep a copy of their review in their files and employers need to be able to share these documents as part of legal discovery if needed.
GoCo's reporting feature gets a B+. I'd give it an A but it still needs the ability to filter out data. For example, I can run a salary report for all team members but can't run a salary report for just the Sales Department. This is overcome by downloading the excel report and using filters, but still...
Our biggest issue is that while the workflow concept is a great idea, the GoCo workflows aren't the easiest to set up and there is minimal support provided to clients in general in on this feature. Because the team at GoCo has software experience but not Human Resources experience, we often find ourselves struggling to figure out how to make use of the workflows in a way that makes sense from an HR perspective. There's also no user community so I am sure we are reinventing the wheel building workflows that others have created already. I think GoCo could really benefit from having a robust library of workflows that users could tap into, or at least a community platform for sharing ideas.
Lastly, GoCo's payroll platform is a partner solution which was not right for our needs. Because GoCo did not have an API integration option with our current payroll provider this caused some errors and insecurity about what data was being brought over for payroll runs through their sync team. GoCo runs in a way which makes implementaion easy. Business/managing, not being something I had been doing previously, GoCo made sense to me. The program was straight forward and set up the way which worked best for our team. The visual layout of payroll and the onboarding process is so intuitive. Most of all the customer support is outstanding! They helped our team decide which services were and were not needed to run as efficiently as possible. I have not experienced a downside using GoCo as of this time. There were a lot of emails offering education and services which did not fit our business needs in the beginning and they remedied it right away. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
