ESET Protect is super efficient but I do wish there were more visual representations on the dashboard regarding threats and system health rather than having to read through so much text. Also the licensing structure can be pretty confusing too when trying to suss out which features are included in each tier and not to mention, mobile device management is good but could have a few more automation options to make several security tasks a bit more streamlined. Technical assistance may occasionally show a slow response even in cases when resolving very simple problems and one more major problem I came across was the Eset Protect installation process on upgraded personal computers, as this operation took many steps, hence it was a main cause of annoyance. This can be daunting for non-technical employees, especially when we require someone from another department to look at the dashboard and there are also occasional conflicts with some of our existing systems, like wireless displays or VPN connections which causes unnecessary troubleshooting. I like that it is quite attentive to the behavior of installed applications, as well as web browsing, often one can fall victim to a phishing attack if not careful enough, with ESET protection, there are alerts that block these malicious sites protecting the integrity of the device. Approximately a week ago, I dealt with an incident caused by the ESET restriction policy on one of the devices, which was blocking the ability to update a Windows application to run VDIs, meaning if a new version was installed, it blocked it instead of allowing it. I have been using ESET NOD32 since 20 years. It is so light you wouldn't even think you have a security program running on your computer, ideal for both low end computers and high end ones. Even their basic protection which is NOD32 Antivirus has a built in HTTP scanner so if you ever click on a malicious link or download, it would block it before the connection even starts. Additionally, it has a 0 false positive rate in my experience, the last thing you want is to run a program and get a warning that it's not safe when it actually is. While the HTTP scanner is great for protecting your computer from online threats, some users don't want it.
