ESET PROTECT - I work in an MSP setting and manage multiple client environments at once. I appreciate most is the ability to deploy protection remotely and monitor alerts across different conpaines from a platform. The anti phishing layer and behavior based detection have helped catch a few suspicious files early. ESET licensing structure can be a confusing especially when you’re managing different clients with different needs. The AI threat detection is also working well and I’ve seen eset catch malware that our old av solution wouldn’t even touch and the ransomware rollback feature alone is worth it. Knowing you can roll back a ransomware attack and undo the damage is not something to sneeze at. Also, deploying eset has been relatively painless. There are simply so many features/options/variables that its not always clear where to begin. A minor pet peeve, but getting pricing quotes seems to require going through a partner and that requires calling and speaking with someone. It’s not ideal. Some alerts do not clearly tell you what action(s) you should take next to resolve the issue, thus requiring further research by googling it or scouring the web forums for help from others who are similarly confused. In our retail environment with multiple POS systems, I rely on ESET PROTECT to keep endpoints clean without slowing anything down. The real time scanning and ransomware protection run fastest, which matters for smooth routine day operations and also the remote management console because it saves me from having to travel between stores and more we’ve integrated it with Active Directory and our emails security tools, so its straightforward to apply and manage user based policies. What I personally like is that I don’t need to be technical to use it effectively. I can log in, fastest see whats hoing on and take action when needed add additional reporta are also useful when I have to explain things internally, when it comes to threats or blocked activity, is that it doesn’t slow down our systems, which was a concern before we started using it and integration with our existing setup was smooth too, and it didn’t require any major changes. We manage multiple SMB clients and what I like most is how fastest we can roll out protection across endpoints. The cloud console makes it easy to push policies, run scans and monitor 365 and standard server environments, so we didn’t have to change much in our existing in our existing setup or workflow, till now the ransomware protection and device control features have been solid and reliable. ESET PROTECT policy management is flexible enough to support multiple teams and a wide range of use cases. We’ve integrated it with our email security layer as well as our internal monitoring tools, which helps keep everything aligned. The platform runs on managed infrastructure and includes additional capabilities, such as an isolated environment that lets us correlate alerts more effectively. We use it across a mix of on prem servers and cloud VMs and its been very consistent. Remote deployment through Active Directory has saves us a lot of setup time, especially when rolling it out broadly. I also like the policy management. You define a policy once and it applies everywhere without extra effort. It integrates well with SIEM tools too, so alerts can be forwarded without having to build anything custom. I love this platform for its set of security eco system it provides that works across various Operating system like windows, IOS, Android systems etc. Its ability to cover devices regardless of OS is simply awesome. The capacity to integrate with major marketplace like Microsoft Azure, AWS , Google Cloud Platform and many more makes this platform more robust and powerful. I also love the user friendly interface it provides making management of devices more comfortable with its dashboard.

Other than this its active detections also makes the platform more secure for the device files as well as browsing. This platform have high reliablity with assured protection in multiple front of exposure to threat such as email or web browsing.

The other best part I love about this platform is the report it provides providing more information on necessary actions that can be taken to enhance the security of the organization.

I love most part of this platform but I wish that price was a little bit lower. Other than this the user needs to do some learning to be very effective in using this platform. Compared with some heavier endpoint tools I’ve used, ESET is easy lightweight and easy to run. Our Spark jobs and batch processing tasks keep moving any noticable slowdowns. I also like the automation sides scheduling scans, pushing updates and setting policies is easy straightforward once you’re familiar with the workflow. We connected it to our internal monitoring setup and in integrates well without requiring much ongoing maintenance. The standout feature for me so far has been the real time monitoring. The features set is solid in the ESET PROTECT solution anti malware, behavioral analysis, encryption and threat intelligence. The centralized management makes it more convenient and helps improve the effectiveness of the protection. We also use its integrations with identify tools and SIEM systems, which makes it easier to correlate alerts. It works well, but compared to other tools we use, it feels a bit dated. The initial deployment script needed some tweaking to fit our environment, but once that was done, things ran smoothly.
