Emma gives me the ability to send mass emails to my students, which is helpful when I want to create update newsletters or send something that looks a little more professional than a regular email. Even before COVID, I relied on regular email communications to provide the hundreds of fraternity and sorority students with important updates and news. Emma made it easy to send emails that were both rich with content and also aesthetically pleasing. The system also made it easy to track how many people read the emails and clicked on the links I embedded for different websites, surveys, and forms. One time, I used Emma to send out a sign up sheet to students for assistance in planning an event, and while none of the students signed up, I could see which students had opened the email and clicked the link for the sign up sheet and considered signing up. I enjoy the simplicity of clicking on a format I like and inserting photos and text, and while it is not the best interface, I still find it to meet my needs as a professional in higher education. I also like that accounts on Emma can be shared so that my coworkers and I can collaborate on newsletters and other emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do not like how restricted I am when using Emma's features. There are not any font choices; there are just different formats of text blocks to use. The preset email formats are somewhat dull and do not always fit what I want in a newsletter. The text boxes and photo boxes are not formatted smoothly, so I have trouble adjusting them to look like a product I would be proud to send out to my students. There are few formats available at all, which limits what I can create. I wish I could move around the features more fluidly and have more customization options, like more prominent platforms like MailChimp, allow. I am also frustrated when I go to fill out some of the final pages of Emma's emailing function, as I have trouble navigating where to add the emails of students and how to create new mailing lists or pull from previous ones. It is also challenging to get the photos placed correctly within the boxes because Emma requires the user to preset the photo size and placement before seeing it on the page. Another thing I dislike is the limit on how many newsletters can be sent and how many recipients can receive them. This limits what I can do with Emma over time, mainly because my employer would not pay for extra storage or functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My overall experience with Emma is very good and I have developed multiple email marketing campaigns for my promotional campaigns through which we are sending hybrid offers to the customers, sending trigger campaigns like birthday emails, point expiry emails campaigns which take care one-to-one personalization and created multiple API events through which we are sending all our real-time email campaigns to our customer regarding their purchase made on online website and mobile application. I like how many options there are for designing a newsletter. The feature to check the campaign logistics is also quite nice when testing out new links. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I find the template and columns quite limiting. It's a little tricky overall to navigate and make a clean email appearance. Like getting background colors and then the text still show up white behind is frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A novice-friendly solution for building email campaigns. The drag and dop builder is intuitive to use, while giving enough granular control to really customize it where you need to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Can be difficult to get it to do exactly what you want. It does have its quirks that can take some getting used to. But I think all similar products have similar issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My organization switched to Emma from Mailchimp because it has more specific options for opting out of some mailing lists without opting out of all mailing lists. It also syncs nicely with Kindful, the donor management system that we use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is sometimes very challenging (glitchy) to resize images, which is very important for us as we advertise upcoming events with images. (Plus, who would want to read through a newsletter with images that are all randomly sized with no consistency? No one!) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Emma is perhaps one of the best-recognized names in email marketing, and for a good reason. It has all of the must-have features of any modern email platform, and given its position in the email marketing space, it has top-notch support and is regularly updated to keep in line with MailChimp and other big players in the space. In my few years working within this product, our team only ever had one or two instances of downtime, so it's fairly reliable based on my understanding as well. Because my role within Emma primarily revolved around data collection, analysis and reporting, I often found myself struggling with pulling easily digestible data points without having to jump through hoops to get there. Not only do I wish there were more internal dashboards and reports, but I wish it had been easier for me to export data more frequently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Works as advertised, I haven't had any issues with it, and the customer service is exceptional, they will reply to you very quickly. the software is very user friendly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
They will ask you to upgrade your program and do a lot of upselling; personally, I haven't had any problems with the primary and cheapest offer, so I would recommend the first one Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
