What do you like best about Electric MSP?

What do you dislike about Electric MSP?

The overall experience didn't meet our expectations. Responses to support queries were slow and of poor quality. Simple IT tickets would take vast amounts of time and overall frustrated our team members. We increased team member satisfaction by ending our contract with electric.

Further, we had problems with IT projects and onboarding to Electric being mismanaged. For example, my computer was totally erased when they added jumpcloud due to misconfiguration.

Others may have a better experience going forward, but I would proceed with caution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Electric MSP?

Electric is perfect for startups looking to scale their entire IT lifecycle. It's allowed us to easily come up with onboarding processees and solutions for new hires, along with helping us ensure a level of compliance and security for all employees. The customer support is also incredible, they've been a huge help when it came to rolling Electric out across the company. The device procurement feature has been awesome as well. What do you dislike about Electric MSP?

I don't think implementation would have been as easy if we didn't have a dedicated Electric team. There are a ton of different steps for getting new users setup and in a startup space, a lot of people have never done something like this before so they got stuck. And even as an admin, sometimes I forget that I need to trigger the second MDM email (it's not automatic). But, Electric is constantly making improvements and changes! Plus, they worked with us to get our own onboarding steps and documentation accurate to help future employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Electric MSP solving and how is that benefiting you?

Prior to Electric, everything was on us and all manual. With our rapid growth, it quickly become a huge problem that Electric solved fast. Within about a week, we were in Electric, implementing it across the company, and making sure our devices were secure and compliant. We immediately began also using it for our incoming new hires. Now with new hires, we send them a laptop through Electric and it's their one-stop shop for onboarding and getting their devices set-up. Everything is much more streamlined and scalable now! What do you like best about Electric MSP?

The ease of use and modernality of the system is excellent. Having most things in house all-in-one is a big bonus. The ccustomer service and attitude of the helpdesk is typical wonderful! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Electric MSP?

It would be much more helpful if Turbine had more customization options such as reordering the Configuration Roles in Department Settings section. We would love for these to be sortable A-Z.

It would also be great if Turbine allowed us to add in specific permissions levels for each Department Setting under the Configuration section Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Electric MSP solving and how is that benefiting you?

Well, we're really hoping that they're solving the issue of not being able to ship/receive items back from Canada. This has caused a lot of problems with import fees and extra manual leg work from our users, especially those who are not with us any longer or those that have yet to have their first day with our organization. What do you like best about Electric MSP?

Electric AI has been an incredible partner in bringing our entire IT environment up to the standards needed as our company has scaled. They have taken so much work from the Operations team in the "Help Desk" area and been vital in sourcing solutions to manage our work more securely and efficiently than we could have on our own. What do you dislike about Electric MSP?

There are some finer details of onboarding and laptop provisioning that we still need to finesse manually, but Electric is constantly improving their portal for technology resourcing and this issue has consistently diminished over our time with them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Electric MSP:

Don't be afraid of working with an AI-based service, our team has taken to it with no problems at all. It speeds up response time and can even automate many tasks. Electric in particular makes a seamless transition from the AI to human service when required. They even send techs on site when a particular problem is unable to be resolved remotely. Procurement has become far more streamlined, as has onboarding of new employees. The majority of this process is automated which saves large amounts of staff time. They also take a lot of work off our plates in researching solutions for the various challenges we face. What do you like best about Electric MSP?

We really appreciate having our primary connection with Electric in Microsoft Teams. For a fully remote organization, this makes it feel like Electric is just part of our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We haven't had any major tech issues during the two years we've been with Electric, but at some point, there might be a time when hands-on assistance may be the best solution. When our organization had a physical office, it would take some time for our previous IT partner to respond or come to the office. It felt like more of a chore to get timely support. Being able to connect with Electric in the same way we would send a chat to another member of the team has been a welcomed change. The excellent portal interface is clear and concise for my staff to use. The speed and talent for support are top-notch. The platform's features and functionality are also superb and continually being improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only limitation I see is when a staff member wants front-line support via telephone. While my staff is comfortable accessing support directly via Slack, some members prefer the traditional method of speaking to someone live immediately when/if they have an issue. Recommendation to others would include consideration for your culture's willingness/ability to integrate Slack / MS Teams as your primary form of Support Engagement. The solution that Electric.ai provides exceeds our return for a comparable cost/benefit of rolling our internal support solution for our staff. What do you like best about Electric MSP?

Electric enables us to have a full scale IT solution, despite only being a small start up team. They enable us to tech onboard our employees and have standard IT and security practices that exceed our business maturity. They also lighten the IT helpdesk load on our internal team. They enable us to deploy both Macs and PCs (which we couldn't find with other vendors), and allow us to create standard tech specifications across all of our devices. What do you like best about Electric MSP?

We do not have an IT department, and Electric has become our go-to expert on all things IT. We have a pretty extensive tech-stack, and they easily run all of our onboardings and offboardings for all of our different applications, as well as troubleshoot any issues with those applications. What do you dislike about Electric MSP?

Electric does have a capability where they can store your computers for you (and therefore wipe them, set them up for new hires, etc.) but this function is too expensive for us at this stage. Electric's model was not a good fit for our organization. There was very little we liked about the service, and felt mostly like we were paying to be frustrated and end up solving most of the issues ourselves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Electric MSP?

I like the turbine (cloud) platform and the Slack help desk feature. The platform allows you to manage all employee devices from anywhere and is super helpful for our hybrid team. The slack integration is quick and easy to use and makes requesting help from IT very simple. I also really like the one-on-one service with our assigned account manager and that Electric is equipped to handle a mac based company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Electric MSP?

There are a few small bugs still being worked out with the slack integration/help tickets and onboarding/offboarding. Those things are not deal breakers for us because this IT service is still light years ahead of other cloud-based IT companies. Electric is solving our hybrid team IT issues, helping us onboard/offboard employees better, and troubleshooting IT issues with our employees much faster than prior IT companies we've worked with.
