"Great Support"
What do you like best about DocVerify?

The process to join is very straight forward. The costs are laid out and are explained in great detail prior to signing up. They have very great customer support, I sent a question in at 9 PM on a Saturday and to my surprise saw a response to my question 9 AM Sunday morning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DocVerify?

I am not too much of a fan of the idea that you have to pay the subscription to use the service and then on top of that you also need to purchase tokens to use the subscription. I feel it should be one or the other type of plan. Which I feel would work out great for Notaries that are not doing remote notarizations full time so they can pay as they use but for the full-timers, they don't have to pay for the month and keep repurchasing tokens throughout the month. I also wish that there was more of a tutorial or training session for the software. I also wish that you could place elements onto documents before you open the signing that way you can focus more on explaining the documents as opposed to attempting to drag and drop elements onto the document.

Haven't tried it yet so if this is a possible thing to do then just disregard this sentence, but I wish that we could do a test notarization with customer support so they could walk us through how everything works and what it looks like on the participants' end and the difference between a principal signers screen and a witnesses screen.

I will also say I wish that you could group participants together so if you have a husband and wife signing a document they can use the same computer and same window/tab as opposed to needing two separate computers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Literally use anyone else"
What do you like best about DocVerify?

Could be convenient to use if there was any customer service whatsoever Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DocVerify?

They have 0 understanding of their product and or how to help their customers. Small businesses make sure to use every dollar effectively, but with DocVerify if you are only spending 250 instead of a large account, you can't even get a phone call from their "support team." Further they don't even understand how their software ties into state applications regarding Notary services. Don't ask a question, you won't get an answer that took any thought to give. Lastly, if you do try to schedule a call with their business development manager you will see available slots, book it, and then be told that he/she isn't available at the time. "DocVerify: buggy software + 0 customer service = loss of revenue"
What do you like best about DocVerify?

DocVerify made it very easy to sign up and register as an E-Notary. Their process was clear and very simple to follow. Their pricing is the cheapest of the (VERY limited) Pennsylvania-approved RON vendors, and the only service I as an independent notary (not part of a firm or corporation) can afford... so I really have no choice. If I want to be able to offer RON, it's DocVerify or nothing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DocVerify?

I am aggressively marketing my RON services and basically breaking even or losing money, mostly due to DocVerify's bugs and how they take a blanket "not our fault no refunds" approach:

.

Is their system booting you which boots everyone else and you all have to rejoin the RON 5 times before giving up after you spent eNotary and KBA credits? TOO BAD! YOUR LOSS! THANKS FOR THE MONEY!!

.

Is one of your participants not getting access to sign the documents even though they are using a device and browser/OS combo that they prequalified to be compatible with DocVerify? BWAHAHA THANKS FOR THE MONEY!! NO SUPPORT.

.

Are your clients refusing to pay your fee because the experience took over an hour due to various bugs and technical difficulties? WELL THAT'S NOT EVEN OUR PROBLEM! TAKE IT UP WITH YOUR CLIENT!

.

Are you trying to add the "fillable PDF" fields to your documents, but every time you leave the page or click to a different document, you lose all your hard work, even if you meticulously hit "save and exit" after each added field? CRICKETS. CRICKETS. CRICKETS. BUT HEY, THANKS FOR THE DOCUMENT CREDITS THOUGH... THOSE ARE NON-REFUNDABLE!

.

Did DocVerify tell you that depending on your state laws, you may need to buy their SSL certificate for $100, but some states may be ok with you using the default DocVerify certificate without having to buy a special one? JUST KIDDING! YOU'RE LOCKED OUT OF YOUR NOTARY PROFILE UNTIL YOU BUY OUR CERTIFICATE! Oh, after you bought it the president of the Pennsylvania Association of Notaries AND a member of the PA Department of State Notaties Division told you you don't have to buy their certificate, and the default certificate is sufficient? WELL, YOU SEE... WHAT HAD HAPPENED WAS.... UH... WE REQUIRE ALL OUR NOTARY SUBSCRIBERS TO BUY THEIR OWN CERTIFICATES FROM US FOR $100. TELLING YOU YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO BUY ONE IF YOUR STATE DIDN'T REQUIRE IT.... THAT WAS A LIE.

...but hey, thanks for the money though.

"Easy to Use"
What do you like best about DocVerify?

The simple interface and instructions make it easy to use. Website provides all software needed for KBA and ID verification, so all I have to do is pay for the license. I can do an RON in less than 15min if all goes right. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DocVerify?

Honestly I'm not sure why this website gave my review an A rating. They deserve more of a B. Minus.

Good luck trying to get a hold of someone. Their number is 949-222-2900, but their hours aren't listed anywhere. I'm 3hr ahead of them which doesn't help. I feel like $480/yr plus $100 start up fee is a lot to ask for no phone or email service. Phone sends you straight to voice-mail no matter what time of day you call.

They nickel and dime for their credits, and you need 14 credits for a full RON session. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"e-Notary Application: Flawless Process!"
What do you like best about DocVerify?

DocVerify has created a process that leaves absolutely nothing to doubt - from beginning to end the process is prudent, unique, convenient and, to be perfectly frank, I believe they are pioneering a largely uncharted industry. Kudos! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DocVerify?

The price tag to apply to become a e-notary is a bit steep, but one that I'm happy to pay. They provide users with everything that is needed in order to succeed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"DocVerify - the leader in a product space with lots of opportunities"
What do you like best about DocVerify?

We like being able to perform remote online notarizations and verify our signers using state-approved technology. It really is nice that our state has vetted DocVerify and we are able to use them without needing to submit documentation, and convince the state to approve our tech partner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DocVerify?

DocVerify is remarkably clunky - it feels like the interface was designed before companies cared about user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The system iThis system is very easy and streamlines my remote notary business all in one place!"
What do you like best about DocVerify?

The dashboard. It makes the system easy to use and read all in a glance! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DocVerify?

Not much that i dislike. Im still evaluating some of the options for now. I do think that the credits purchased should be a bit cheaper or get more for the money Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Useful but Complicated"
What do you like best about DocVerify?

I like that the actual notarization is fairly simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DocVerify?

I hate the 'credits" to notarize something. I already pay a membership fee. I would honestly rather pay a little bit of a higher monthly fee and not worry about credits. It is difficult for clients to use and become verified. I've had people in their 20s unable to be verified at all and client's email addresses not be recognized because it's not a .com. It is also difficult to advise a client on how to manuever the software when I cannot see their screen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Convenience is KEY"
What do you like best about DocVerify?

The site is convenient, fast, and easy to use. Clients often find me through search engines and prefer to enlist someone who is certified and reliable.

The identity authentication features are amazing as well. Users go through an authentication process through a third party to verify themselves without notaries having to verify their state ID. This serves as an amazing security measure.

With social distancing at an all-time high, users can have their important documents notarized without leaving their home. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DocVerify?

Alignment on typed entires. The date and text doesn't always add up to the line. The year shows on the document but the last two digits often fall off after the document is saved. Aside from that, there isn't anything to dislike about the service or its features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I have found this process very confusing"
What do you like best about DocVerify?

It gets the job done. The process is confusing but with patience you get it done right. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DocVerify?

Customer service lacks being supportive. They answer questions without answering the actual question. The price is outrageous. You pay for everything. In the end if your an e notary their subscription only works at $40 a month which is really $50 if you don't pay the annual subscription. because Docverify doesn't explain up front. When you look at their price list it looks for the most part as if they all do similar but they forget to tell you that RON requires the largest monthly amount Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
