I like the flexibility in the way we can organize and share content- its also very user friendly- can upload and save most types of documents and videos. I also enjoy the ability to use tables and integrate documents/files within the content. Downloading the current page in pdf form is also quick and easy to do. The side panel is hard to scroll through when there is a large list. When applying a lable/tag on the page I would prefer to see a drop down rather than having to type something to pop up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that I am able to insert code snippets in the documentation and can select the language as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use Confluence as our company-wide hub for information for every department: from sales collateral, to engineering documentation, to Product Usage Guides. We like it best because it integrates directly into JIRA, which is most helpful when maintaining a backlog or roadmap for others to view and see as we can link it to tickets, and it also has integrations with Balsamic and Aha, which we also found helpful to directly embed wireframes and flowcharts. Confluence wasn't made to be a sales tool, but now that they've engrained themselves in many companies' workflows for Product & Engineering documentation, it's easier for organizations to use it for everything. It needs a lot of improvements to be a better tool to house Sales collateral, one-sheets, powerpoints, and things like "Customer FAQ". They can support that now but not in a way that is marketing forward, so because it's not as flashy sales doesn't love using it. I would love if they can have more "slide share" type features so users can view presentations in the UI vs downloading, a better page template for FAQs so it's easier to search by topic and make it easier to search for documents or attachments. There is a lot that we like about this product. We are using Confluence for project management. We are keeping all the customer discussion on confluence so that our manager and any one from team member can check anytime what is discussed and what is on hold. We are also liking the integrations provided by them to add some giphy on the confluence page. You can use that for making a diagram and use them to show to customer. It has the capability to store the unpublished items which you can use and store later. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The main thing is pricing. It is too costly. It doesn't have any chatbot which can be used for chatting purpose. There are some issues with UI as well it is not interactive. Searching for any confluence page is very hard. You need to write the exact name for searching the confluence page. It is not supporting all the markdown features. Is a very powerful tool with which you can create a large amount of documents in a very practical way, it allows you to organize these files into sub-folders which allows access to them in a more accessible and practical way. Your search option is great because it gives you an exact search, which allows you to locate relevant documents in a quick way Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its learning curve is a bit complex to manage but with a little work is managed in a very practical and useful way, I think a negative part of this tool is that when creating a document at the time of saving it can change of place what would complete your search. Confluence does a great job bringing all of the information you need together. I view it as a much more polished version of google drive. Instead of being just a data dumpster, Confluence gives you the tools to organize your files and share with your team as needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only main dislike is the pricing and the very small learning curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that Confuence offers such a wide variety of page types and widget types. We utilize many different widgets, from calendars to tables to code snippets. This variety allows our organization to use Confluence across every department and to solve a wide variety of problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't care for Confluence's logout timeframe. It seems like I have to log back into the product every 10 minutes or so of inactivity. Because this service is a secondary or tertiary resource for many positions at our organization, this means logging back in nearly every time we move back into its tab in our browser. Sometimes the groups and the users relationship to the groups can become confusing. And sometimes it takes some digging to figure out which group you should be adding or a removing a user from. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
