What do you like best about Confluence?

I like the flexibility in the way we can organize and share content- its also very user friendly- can upload and save most types of documents and videos. I also enjoy the ability to use tables and integrate documents/files within the content. Downloading the current page in pdf form is also quick and easy to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

The side panel is hard to scroll through when there is a large list. When applying a lable/tag on the page I would prefer to see a drop down rather than having to type something to pop up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?

organizing content , content collaboration is a problem in which Confluence has solved for the company I work for. Content can be managed separately (by different departments), but yet can be shared and accessed by all employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Confluence?

We use Confluence as our company-wide hub for information for every department: from sales collateral, to engineering documentation, to Product Usage Guides. We like it best because it integrates directly into JIRA, which is most helpful when maintaining a backlog or roadmap for others to view and see as we can link it to tickets, and it also has integrations with Balsamic and Aha, which we also found helpful to directly embed wireframes and flowcharts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

Confluence wasn't made to be a sales tool, but now that they've engrained themselves in many companies' workflows for Product & Engineering documentation, it's easier for organizations to use it for everything. It needs a lot of improvements to be a better tool to house Sales collateral, one-sheets, powerpoints, and things like "Customer FAQ". They can support that now but not in a way that is marketing forward, so because it's not as flashy sales doesn't love using it. I would love if they can have more "slide share" type features so users can view presentations in the UI vs downloading, a better page template for FAQs so it's easier to search by topic and make it easier to search for documents or attachments. Recommendations to others considering Confluence:

Confluence has become a widespread tool across so many organizations in the Tech/ Ad Tech/ Martech world, so knowledge of it will be greatly helpful to you as you continue your career. Using Confluence and Knowledge of the platform has become a "no brainer", where it's almost table-stakes skillset vs even listed as a requirement. If you are using JIRA for dev or product management, Confluence is a must have for any org! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?

Confluence has allowed us to solve for information sharing across the org, collaboration, and organization. We use it to plan for upcoming projects and roadmap planning, linking it to JIRA tickets & Epics, as well as storing usage guides, and documentation on existing products. We have really seen communication amongst teams increase since we started using it, and it's a huge reference tool for me as a manager to keep tabs on what my team is up to. What do you like best about Confluence?

There is a lot that we like about this product. We are using Confluence for project management. We are keeping all the customer discussion on confluence so that our manager and any one from team member can check anytime what is discussed and what is on hold. We are also liking the integrations provided by them to add some giphy on the confluence page. You can use that for making a diagram and use them to show to customer. It has the capability to store the unpublished items which you can use and store later. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

The main thing is pricing. It is too costly. It doesn't have any chatbot which can be used for chatting purpose. There are some issues with UI as well it is not interactive. Searching for any confluence page is very hard. You need to write the exact name for searching the confluence page. It is not supporting all the markdown features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Confluence:

If the price is not the constraint then you should go with the confluence. All Atlassian product are very tightly bound. You could use it for project planning, scrum status update. You can use to track the KT plan for any employee. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are using confluence to update all the information given by the customer. We are also using confluence for daily scrum updates and also using it for status update. We are using confluence for KT planning and team and lab information. We are also using confluence for project planning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Confluence?

Is a very powerful tool with which you can create a large amount of documents in a very practical way, it allows you to organize these files into sub-folders which allows access to them in a more accessible and practical way. Your search option is great because it gives you an exact search, which allows you to locate relevant documents in a quick way Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

Its learning curve is a bit complex to manage but with a little work is managed in a very practical and useful way, I think a negative part of this tool is that when creating a document at the time of saving it can change of place what would complete your search. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?

is a very dynamic and practical tool that allows you to create various files and thus keep an adequate follow-up of the documents already created and be able to access them from any device Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Confluence?

Confluence does a great job bringing all of the information you need together. I view it as a much more polished version of google drive. Instead of being just a data dumpster, Confluence gives you the tools to organize your files and share with your team as needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

The only main dislike is the pricing and the very small learning curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Confluence:

Worth it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?

Data dump. We have so many files and different file managers that nothing is organized. Confluence has helped to bring all of our data and teams together in once centralized location. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Confluence?

I like that Confuence offers such a wide variety of page types and widget types. We utilize many different widgets, from calendars to tables to code snippets. This variety allows our organization to use Confluence across every department and to solve a wide variety of problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

I don't care for Confluence's logout timeframe. It seems like I have to log back into the product every 10 minutes or so of inactivity. Because this service is a secondary or tertiary resource for many positions at our organization, this means logging back in nearly every time we move back into its tab in our browser. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Confluence:

Confluence is a solid product, and has been consistently reliable for our organization. We utilize its flexibility, and that is its primary strength. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use Confluence to track department-wide calendars, gather and track known issue details across multiple client cases, and as a wiki for various teams and their information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sometimes the groups and the users relationship to the groups can become confusing. And sometimes it takes some digging to figure out which group you should be adding or a removing a user from. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The administrator interface could be a bit easier to navigate. It can get a little confusing when assigning users to groups, or trying to issue the correct permissions for each project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Confluence solving and how is that benefiting you?

Solving the issue of everyone that is not in the same location will have the the same information and access to the information that should be shared amongst a team. the benefits that i have noticed is that teams are able to keep up with one another and make group decisions based on the same information.
