Cardata does make it easy when the app is on and tracking. No need to constantly track miles on a separate app( like notes)
When one starts in the morning, you just turn the app on and it's nice that it tracks all the trips, even the tiny ones.(Especially if you have the scheduler on) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Omg: The issue here is that many phones as you use them start losing their battery power. Cardata takes so much battery power, and on top of it if your battery is on the low side and goes to low power mode, the app stops. That is not OK and it does not inform you that it has stopped! I have used the app towards the end of my day and I did not realize that the app is turned off and has not tracked my miles. That is pretty upsetting. My work pays for my miles, and if those miles are not being tracked, then I am losing the reimbursement of my mileage for my car. I put on a lot of miles and so I need my mileage app to work---And indicate if it's not on. There should be a way that you alerted that the app is "not on"! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Having an automated app in the background makes life a lot easier.
when it works in the background, its seamless and easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
*Having an app in the background is not perfect; when for some reason or another it drops off and is logged out & I wouldnt kow until I checked. with over 25hours on the road as you can imagine, thats not an easy task.
*adding manual trips is difficult &time consuming. I wished you could add addresses rather than location names.
* i would love a report per month of the total mileage, cost - as of now i check that for my own knowledge. but i would love that included in the automated monthly close-off emails.
* could there be an opportunity to integrate with any other apps.. such as alert of where the car is parked..(always in different parking lots), really any features for gas finding, etc Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to easily turn on/off tracking or schedule times for the app to track my driving is helpful. Having it on a schedule allows me to go about my normal business and not worry about having to track the information manually in a spreadsheet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My only complaint is when having to put in a manual entry if I turned off tracking and forgot to turn it back on before a trip. I have to manually create specific saved locations before adding my trip, rather than simmply putting in the address for my start and stop location. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The app generally records trips to my phone in a timely manner. It can happen on occasion that a trip won't show up for some time after the trip is ended. I also like that trips can be cancelled. The mileage recording app we used previously depleted the phone's battery much more than CarData, although both apps require location to aleays be turned on for best results. It was easy to understand and implement the app on my phone. It is relatively easy to add a trip that was somehow missed. Customer service has been prompt and excellent when I have a question or problem Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The app updates someimes change personal settings, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Cardata is a very easy and seamless way to track the miles you are putting on your car for work purposes. It is also easy to say if those miles are for work or if they are personal miles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I dislike about cardata is that it will randomly log me out of the app from time to time and then it won't log those miles if I did not notice I was logged out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
record keeping in gone. No more messy note taking and trying to remember where i had been. i name all my most frequent stops for ease of recognizing later. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
for me, i need to turn it off alot, since i don't drive many miles. I constantly forget to turn it back on Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Cardata has been a great app. I like how you can filter between classified and unclassified trips to easily register those trips. I use the app daily so I like the easy integration and implementation of setting a Monday-Friday time work schedule. Just set it and forget it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The one thing I do wish this app had was the ability to see how many personal & business miles I've accumulated [total] thus-far in the current month cycle. While miles have to be approved, this will at least give you an indication of how much the reimburstment amount will be instead of waiting till the end of the cycle. I really appreciate how easy the app is to use on my smartphone; it runs in the background on a schedule (that I set) and I don't have to worry about missing a trip. The app was easy to install and use. I use Cardata everyday to track my trips and I can easily classify them as Personal or Business. With the new update, the program will remember locations/trips and pre-classify them for you, so you don't have to, making it even more user friendly. It was an easy intregration into the company and replaced a previous vendor.
Any issues that I've had, I've been able to call and talk with someone in Customer Service and they've been very helpful to resolve my issues. I would recommend Cardata. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've been so pleased with Cardata, that the positives outweigh any negatives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

On rare occasions the tracking stops working and I have to restart the app and manual add in my trips Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Tracking business mileage made easy. Mileage tracking based off of a calendar you can set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In the past when they've had software updates, the tracking gets a little messed up temporarily. It seems to have been worked out now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
App is efficient in tracking both business and personal mileage, which is super convenient
And having such a responsive customer service team is definitely a huge plus. Quick replies can make a big difference when you need help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Encountered some frustrating issues with the app. Missing a notification for something as important as uploading a new insurance card, especially when it affects your reimbursement, is definitely a big inconvenience.
My notifications are on, but it’s concerning that I didn’t receive it.
The issue with the app automatically turning off my schedule for recording mileage periodically also seems like a significant problem. Having to manually enter my mileage can be time-consuming and defeats the purpose of having an automated system.
Not a fan of the platform either.
However, I messaged customer service and they have record response times! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
