The support has been so wonderful! Everyone we chat with is kind, helpful, quick and ready with more documentation to help us understand the product better. Most of our company is not computer savvy people and changing our entire website, email, ordering and shipping process recently has made for lots and lots of questions and help needed. Whatever you save compared to other Ecommerce sites you pay for in add ons that bigcommerce doesn't include out of the box. The reporting is a joke and then you can pay more to get "insights" which are also useless. Cloud based environment makes it easy for non technical people to manage. Licensing is cheaper than equivalent systems (like Magento 2 Cloud) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hard to create custom functionality. API is not as robust as needed to create complicated business functions (for example, there is a lack of usable hooks for things like cart functions, and order functions). Many functions need to be done through front end Javascript coding, which isn't suited for normal front end developers. Honestly, nothing comes to mind at all. If I were to be forced to find something I dislike, I would have to say
it is not being able to send a message to the customer in the shipping notification email/message. This feature was previously available but with one of the enhancements it became no longer available.
