We migrated from Shopify to Bigcommerce, due to its expansive feature set, such as B2B features, advanced discounting, with cart-level discounts, as well as the more powerful advanced analytics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are definitely some drawbacks, primarily with the robustness of the platform, Shopify simply felt more intuitive. It is also lacking a Buy X get Y (category level) discount. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

They are pretty similar to other Ecommerce providers, and there is not much to self identify them with. With that said, they are one of the better ones. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There was very little I disliked about this software. It is super easy to keep up on online traffic and orders at work. It’s super easy to add and take down products from the store feed. All in all a great user experience Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I honestly didn’t dislike much of anything. Only issue I had was the ease in which to issue a paypal refund but that was solved with one call to customer service Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

More customization possibilities in compare with Shopify. Have a decent amount of apps but not as much free ones like Shopify. Overall it's more costly in exchange for more control Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No custom ssl with one time add on pricing but rather needed to pay the pro plan to get this feature. Want EV SSL? Out of luck unless you're ready to pay that much. Also crazy that their built in insight also cost extra. Sadly for more control of the site over Shopify which do not allow custom ssl at All unless you're spending 2k a month on Shopify plus. Still would needed to pay more in exchange for bigcommerce Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
