Very straightforward dashboard layout, support community is helpful. Built in themes are decently designed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Limited in design ability. For example, we had to hire a developer to add a sentence tp our checkout page. Product page layout is unable to be changed. 600 sku maximum. Limited in discounts we can offer to customers. For example, we can't do "buy any door, get a free door handle" type discounts. There are glitches on the backend with rules. I love that BigCommerce is compatible with our sales platform, ShopKeep. By the click of a button, I can make my merchandise available on BigCommerce and it automatically imports the price and SKU onto our website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Integration with Office365, is less than ideal. After switching to O365 for exchange, all of our order confirmation e-mails were getting black listed. This is due to a range of the IP's they use being black listed by SpamHaus. So I had to setup the MX and TXT records for demarc and use their mail server. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As the title implies we love big commerce. Out of the box it is so much more feature rich than some of its competitors, its direct competitor being Shopify which is paltry in comparison to the big c without plugins out of the box. Big commerce also has a great customer service that is available at all times. Another huge positive is how scalable and customizable it is with its great AppStore that has lots of options. Unfortunately Shopify is still more popular than bigcomerce so we ran into issues of some apps we needed on our store not being available on Bigcommerce and were forced to for alternatives. Be aware that bigcommerce costs a pretty penny too especially on the enterprise package. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
