We have had a great experience utilizing Bazaarvoice for sampling campaigns, including the social commerce integration to garner UGC. We run campaigns roughly monthly. The communication with the support team is easy, and they always respond in a timely manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Previously, all campaigns were managed through email threads, which made it difficult to keep track of overlapping timelines. However, Bazaarvoice just launched a new dashboard where all campaigns can be initiated and monitored. It is much easier to track the progress and review the content that has been submitted. Easy to respond to customer reviews and inquiries.

I like that we are able to share our reviews with our customers on our own website, but also across a variety of our third party retail partners. It makes the process seamless for us, and a better experience for the customer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is definitely costly to use, and you really need to also invest in reviews generation. The team was sometimes hard to reach when getting everything launched, but things have been good since then. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Really.. nothing. Some CS reps are helpful. Tech onboarding needs so much work though. Just awful. Even my seasoned developer has had issues understanding what's needed and that really confusing knowledgebase. No thanks.. Begging my company to change providers. Knowledgebase is so confusing. Technical onboarding is not helpful. Onboarding a new product takes months longer than planned... and we've only got a few products. I can't imagine how bad it is for companies with hundreds of products. I would never recommend BV to anyone. Also, the interface is basically from 1998. It's not user-friendly, it's clunky and we've been asking for updates for years and it takes them years to update anything. They had a popup on their login page from 3 years ago. Reporting is sad. The UI is clunky and difficult to navigate. There's a lot of pages and features not explained well. The support team is slow to communicate with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only upside to Bazaarvoice is their syndication with major retailers, the rest is pretty unable from a customer experience perspective. We have tried to get help from their team and if they are not selling you something they don't seem to care. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A long list but the major downsides to this platform is cost $$$, customer service, a clunky and overbuilt interface. It is a shame that this is one of the only options for eCommerce retailers that want to syndicate reviews from Target. I wish there was a better solution out there.
