The interface is user-friendly, the software is flexible, and you are not boxed in like in many other Home Health software systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The software is unstable, and you don't know what kind of glitch will affect your work on any given day.
The company got extremely greedy: basic functions that were part of the package when you signed up with them (like Medicare Remittance Advice posting electronically) were taken away and now require an additional payment.
Axxess is constantly coming up with new extra services, and they are auto-signing you, so if you miss an email with the option to opt out, you're paying for the service you might not need until you review your invoice carefully.
Support is hit or miss. Most support Reps can only open a ticket for someone else to review, but they are not getting back to you with the solution. You need to call back. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The calendars for clinicians are horrible. You cannot look at their calendar for everything you need. Axxess has a good patient calendar but the clinician calendar needs to be updated. We have asked for this enhancement for years and nothing has been done. Update 8/15/22: This is still an issue, all their other products have wonderful calendars. The workflow is easy to follow when trained. It would seem that all of the right components are in place for Axxess to be a competent full office management software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the most significant needs for improvement with the Axxess software is focusing on the customer's complete needs. There is no "perfect" software out there, but the difference between good and great software is the ability to make changes and communicate these changes with detail. Change should always have a good purpose for being implemented also. Some issues with the Axxess software outlined in the ticket center and community forum are still not fully resolved. Yet, there are additional improvements on other components of the Axxess software that are added, ignoring the more severe issues. Sometimes those changes need to be on the original pieces of the software to confirm that adding "the new" doesn't break or disrupt the established parts of software that a business needs for daily functioning. We love the report center. It's a great tool to utilize all department of the program; from billing, to employee records, patient charts and eligibility.Axxess has an amazing way to simplify all of our information. It's easy to access what we need and input new data as needed.
The ticket center is a great resource when we have an issues that we can't resolve on our own. There is always someone available to help us figure out the problem in a timely manner. I definitely recommend Axxess Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do not really have any dislikes for the software, I think it's easily adaptable to other programs out there like Wellsky and IKeys, as well as Palmetto. We can easily transfer information and data across all fields. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Charting is easy using the web. the major advantage to the Mobile app is the increase in compliance with electronic visit verification. Billing is making a turnaround from when I first began my role as administrator. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
mobile app needs major upgrades. Submitting a help ticket is simple and easy but not a quick response time. Either you fix it yourself or wait an extended amount of time to resolve issue. Most everything. I use more than 30% of my time clicking to go from A to B. I need nine clicks per order to send them to the PCP; when I used to do it under 10 per PCP. There are many items on my list that I could write pages of everything that needs to be corrected, enhanced, or in process. I am disappointed with Axxess; I will not recommend it.
