What do you like best about Asana?

The ability to integrate with most other apps that I use and how it is so easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

There are some features tied behind paid plans, but this is understandable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Asana is helping me keep track of both what I need to do and what is still outstanding in any project I am working on. It gives me the ability to assign tasks from other apps and keep on top of what my colleagues are doing as well.

What do you like best about Asana?

UI and folder structure is nice and logical. Some integrations like assigning emails as taks directly from Gmail work great and are immensly helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

Asana has great potential, but its limitations can be infuriating. Say you have three team members, each managing 10 projects. You come up with a brilliant automation idea that you want to apply across all projects. Surely, there must be a bulk-add rule for that… right? Well, there is—but only for enterprise users.

You contact sales, only to be told that the minimum user count for an enterprise plan is five. No problem, you think, I’ll just use their API to create the rules programmatically. But nope—there’s no API for that.

Fine, you think, I’ll just switch to another tool. But since Asana only offers yearly billing with no refund policy, you're stuck with two bad options: lose €1800 or manually add 30 rules one by one. Fantastic.

And judging by their forums, this issue has been around for years—strongly suggesting that it’s an intentional sales tactic rather than an oversight Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

I love the simplicity of working with Asana. I’ve used many other project management tools over the years, but none of them have such a clean and intuitive UI. If you're new to the tool, it's incredibly easy to get started. I truly feel that Asana is designed for any team, but especially for creative ones, where UI and visual experience really matter.

I use Asana every day, even for my personal tasks, and I genuinely believe it's the best tool on the market. Having worked in different companies and with various teams, I’ve found it incredibly easy to implement changes and adapt the tool to everyone's needs.

I’ve never encountered a major issue with Asana, but I have used the customer support page and forum, both of which have been extremely helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

Sometimes, I find it difficult to understand the hierarchy of tasks and subtasks. I've worked a lot with automations and custom fields, and at times, it’s challenging to determine the best way to manage them. I also find it confusing when information from a parent task doesn’t always carry over to related subtasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Asana has helped me improve resource management, gain a better understanding of my team's availability, and track project progress effectively. This allows me to provide clear updates to clients and stay ahead of any potential issues, such as timeline delays or task overlaps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

I am someone who needs a complete breakdown of information to immediately understand what is happening with a project. Ideally, Asana allows me to establish color coding to facilitate my team’s workflow. It also enables me to organize the team in a way that doesn’t require centralized information but rather distributes it across multiple interconnected projects. This way, I can track tasks in real time, focus on client-specific needs, and manage workloads efficiently across my team.

Asana lets you develop your own usage strategy and internal company policies for its implementation. There is no set way to use it—it’s an adaptive tool that allows you to create strategies and processes. This makes it fantastic for daily use.

We initially thought it would be difficult to implement in our company, but it turned out to be one of the easiest tools to integrate with our existing systems!

Daily use and updates through automation make our lives much easier!

Customer support is always available, on time, and aware of all our notifications.

It is truly the most impactful planning tool I have ever used! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

Personally will love to manage the tasks as milestones and approvals differently, is not a real issue but generates sometimes blockers for my team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Asana helps us stay on top of everything without feeling overwhelmed. It gives us a clear view of what’s happening in real time, so we can manage tasks, balance workloads, and focus on each client’s needs without everything being stuck in one place. The color coding and project connections make teamwork so much smoother.

What I love is how flexible it is—we’ve been able to set it up in a way that works for us instead of trying to fit into a rigid system. Automations save us tons of time, and the easy integration with our other tools made the transition surprisingly smooth. Plus, their support team is always there when we need them.

Honestly, Asana has completely changed how we plan and execute projects. It keeps us organized, makes collaboration effortless, and just makes work easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

In my current position, this is the first time I have used Asana, per my employer’s policy. It was so easy to learn and it helps me stay on task by keeping track of all my projects and expectations, with details on each one and specific due dates. I used to use paper to-do lists and using Asana still gives me the satisfaction of checking off completed tasks, but makes it more streamlined and efficient. I honestly love using it, it helps me to multitask without forgetting anything expected, no matter how big or small. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

I don’t dislike anything, the features have truly helped me stay on task and helped make my workdays much more productive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Staying focused on multiple projects at once and tracking them through Asana, so I can get feedback and continue making the experience better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

The tool is simple to use once you learn the basics and can practice for a few weeks on the platform. It logs all of my project tasks in one central location for all of my project team members, which makes communication a lot more streamlined. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

I am still trying to figure out how to manage my notifications. Since I don't want to miss any action in Asana, I have my Outlook notifications turned on. The number of notifications after 1 day can get very overwhelming so I need to decide if I should turn off my Outlook notifications and use the Inbox function in Asana. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

There are many moving parts and pieces to my project. This tools helps get tasks organized and allows me to get a snapshot of upcoming tasks and deadlines Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

The extreme ease of use and the Asana Intelligence (A.I) feature Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

None for now, I am yet to see a feature I don't like, The application is well thought of in design and it very intuitive Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

The reason I/we started using Asana was because managing my workload became a task on its own with. I used to feel overwhelmed with criplling anxiety when its time to give Project updates, it got so bad that deadlines would slip and my tasks were scattered everywhere.

That all changed when we started using Asana, i must admit that adaptation took a while as I was used to my "MS Excel method". Now, I have complete visibility over projects, I can prioritize effectively and collaborate seamlessly with my team without endless email chains or unnecessary meetings. What do you like best about Asana?

While I was looking for a new project management system, I test drove Notion, Trello, Google Tasks, UpNote, and others. They all have their strengths, but required quite a bit of tweaking and adjusting to make them work with our systems. I used Asana many years ago, and was hesitant to try it again. When I did (albeit reluctantly), I was blown away by the updates and features they've implemented since then. I was able to jump in with both feet and get up & running very quickly. I'm using the free version, and it works great for us! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

15 guest seats is quite generous for the free version, but I would love to be able to open it up to more. Working with both clients and volunteers means I may be interacting with over 100 people at any given time, but only for a few weeks each. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

The most helpful thing about Asana is that it can do so much, meaning it can take the place of communications via Teams, Outlook, gmail, and it can also take the place of task lists, sticky notes, reminders, and alerts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

I think the least helpful thing about Asana is not being able to change date formats, and not having a general file repository for each project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Asana has solved our software licensing and IT onboarding issues by allowing us to track all our software licenses and get alerts when we need to renew or cancel them as well as allowing us to track all the details for each license within that license task.

It has solved other issues like having our whole team in IT be able to track new laptop upgrades and new employee orientations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

Asana was very easy for me to pick up the basics on my own. I took this seminar to make sure I wasn't missing anything crucial. I really appreciated how focused Serina was in this seminar--she showed me how I could easily set up and use Asana right out of the gate. She and Meagan were very responsive to questions throughout the seminar. Most of the features I anticipate needing are available in the Free version, though at least one (Goals) is something I would consider spending money on. Since I've set up my account and platform, I've used it every single day. Very excited to continue to use it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

There is a slight learning curve for figuring out how to initially set up the platform in a way that is conducive for me personally. I probably spent about an hour in total learning how to set it up and inputting all of my tasks, projects, and related information that first day. Since then, I feel like I'm off and running, but I would suggest new users block off about an hour for that first set up, depending on how technologically savvy they are. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

I have a lot of Projects I'm working on simultaneously. They are very detailed and each of them has a lot of moving parts. My regular task list was getting cluttered and disorganized because of this issue, so I wanted to find a platform that would help me categorize my tasks under which project they're related to, assign deadlines to make them actionable steps, and visually track my progress so I don't lose hope. I've only just started using the platform, so I'm not sure about long-term results. But I am very happy with how it's going so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
