## Asana Reviews
 ### 1. Asana Keeps Teams Aligned with Clear Project Visibility and Efficient Workflows

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lizeth C. | Creative, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

What I like most about Asana is how it keeps everyone aligned and organized. It provides clear visibility into projects, makes task ownership simple to track, strengthens collaboration across teams, and reduces confusion around deadlines and priorities. The different project views and automations also help make workflows more efficient, smoother to run, and easier to manage overall.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

What we dislike about Asana is that it can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially on larger projects with lots of tasks and notifications. Keeping boards and tasks up to date takes consistent discipline from everyone, and without that, information can quickly become outdated or confusing. It can also be hard to customize certain workflows, and some features feel more complicated than they need to be.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana is solving problems around project visibility, task coordination, and communication across teams. It helps keep work organized in one place, clarifies ownership and deadlines, and makes it easier to track progress without relying on constant meetings or follow-ups. This benefits us by improving collaboration, reducing confusion, increasing accountability, and helping projects move faster and more efficiently.

 ### 2. Reducing Manual Coordination Effort Through Better Workflow Organization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** VINAY P. | Mechanical Design Engineer, Design, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

What I liked most about Asana was the visibility it provided while handling multiple project coordination activities, documentation follow-ups, and pending tasks simultaneously.

During engineering coordination and review activities, I used task dependencies, timelines, and status tracking to monitor pending approvals, BOM updates, drawing-review tasks, and follow-up discussions without depending on scattered emails or manual spreadsheet tracking.

The board and timeline views were especially useful because they helped quickly identify delayed activities and workload priorities across ongoing tasks. I also regularly used reminders and automated status updates to reduce manual follow-up effort during busy project cycles.

Another practical benefit was the integration with Microsoft Outlook and documentation workflows, which helped centralize discussions, deadlines, and task visibility in one place instead of switching between multiple systems continuously.

From a UI/UX perspective, the layout remained clean even while handling multiple projects, and onboarding was straightforward because task creation, assignment, and workflow setup were easy to understand without heavy training.

I also found the AI-assisted task suggestions and automation workflows useful for improving prioritization and reducing repetitive coordination activities.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

One challenge I noticed is that notification volume can become excessive when working across multiple active projects and teams simultaneously.

I also felt that managing larger project structures with many subtasks and dependencies occasionally becomes cluttered, especially during frequent workflow changes.Certain advanced automation, reporting, and dashboard features are restricted to higher-tier plans, which may feel limiting for smaller teams.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Asana, project coordination, pending-task tracking, and follow up activities were mainly managed through emails, personal notes, and spreadsheets, which made it difficult to monitor priorities and deadlines consistently.

For example, while handling BOM updates, drawing reviews, documentation coordination, and multiple engineering follow-ups simultaneously, tracking pending ownership and status updates required repeated manual communication.

Asana solved this by centralizing tasks, deadlines, ownership tracking, reminders, and project visibility into one structured workflow. Instead of manually following up through separate chats and emails, I could directly monitor task progress, pending activities, and responsibility assignments from the dashboard.

This reduced coordination delays, improved visibility across ongoing engineering activities, and helped prioritize workload more effectively during high-volume project cycles.

From an ROI perspective, the reduction in manual follow-ups and better deadline tracking improved workflow efficiency and reduced the chances of missing critical review or documentation activities.

 ### 3. Asana Keeps My Work Organized and Stress-Free

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Grace C. | CFO/ HR Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I was a sticky note queen and I can have some real challenges keep my thoughts and priorities in order because of my large amount of work responsibilities. Asana makes it easy to keep up with all my obligations and organizes it in a way that does not add extra stress to my plate. I have Claude linked to my Asana along with my Google Calendar and Gmail and oh my gosh has that been a lifesaver.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I have not found any downsides yet, I even really enjoy the training videos on how to use Asana. They are very informative and its a fun platform to learn.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a department of one and have been trying to show the extent of my workload so I can get some much needed help in my department. This is allowing me to track my tasks and my time to show how overloaded I am.

 ### 4. Powerful Automations, Easy Project Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mariano B. | Hiring Manager / Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I love the automations in Asana and how easy they are to implement. When working with multiple team members, automations help streamline task assignments and follow-ups. Simply assigning a task to a user can automatically generate follow-up tasks, set due dates based on that user’s timeline, and keep projects moving efficiently.

Asana is a powerful platform for project management and team collaboration, and the initial setup was straightforward. It integrates seamlessly with my favorite tools, such as Google Drive and Clockify, making it easy for my team to work asynchronously and stay aligned.

The layout is extremely intuitive, creating a fast learning curve while still delivering robust functionality. The platform runs smoothly and reliably, allowing my team to stay productive without interruptions.

The support team was also excellent, making onboarding quick and seamless. Overall, Asana delivers outstanding value for its price, saving our team far more in productivity and work hours than the cost of the subscription.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

Interaction between different workspaces would be great. Having different teams from different workspaces, working with each other, a more dynamic interaction between workspaces would be very beneficial.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Asana to streamline task assignment and follow-ups with automations, manage projects and teamwork, and stay on top of all my projects by setting due dates based on users' timelines.

 ### 5. Transformed Our Project Management and Team Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Om D. | business professional and management, Business Supplies and Equipment, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I really like Asana for its simple and user-friendly interface, which makes it easy to navigate. The powerful task and project tracking features are excellent, making collaboration very straightforward and helping to keep projects organized. It provides clear visibility into deadlines and responsibilities and tracks important progress, which is crucial for our workflow. The task management and project features help me stay organized by clearly showing priorities, deadlines, and assigned responsibilities. Features like reminders, timeline, and progress tracking improve productivity and streamline team collaboration. The initial setup of Asana was very easy, with a straightforward process of adding tasks, assigning team members, and setting deadlines.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

One thing I dislike about Asana is that some advanced features like detailed reporting and automation are limited to higher-priced plans. Also, managing very large projects can sometimes feel overwhelming because of the number of notifications and task updates.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Asana for project management to solve task management problems, streamline team collaboration, and keep communication organized. It helps manage deadlines and responsibilities, while features like reminders and progress tracking improve productivity and efficiency.

 ### 6. Great for Organizing Projects, but Task Moving and Google Sheets Alerts Need Work

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shino B. | Director of Admin, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

It helps organize projects of all kinds, from marketing work to the admin side. There are a few features that aren’t included in the subscription we currently have, and I wish I could try them out to get the full experience of what Asana has to offer. The automation rules are useful because you don’t have to keep manually changing statuses; alternatively, when you do change a status, it can automatically move tasks to the right place. Overall, it feels like it has more potential than how we’re currently using it, and I’d like to explore more of what it can do.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

There are a few limitations. For example, it can be hard to move tasks or subtasks around on different boards. I usually have to play around with it to figure it out, and it often feels quicker to delete the item and re-enter it in the right spot than to spend time working out how to move it properly. I also don’t like that it keeps adding a new message to a task when a Google Sheet is integrated and someone comments on that sheet. Most of the time the comment isn’t relevant to the task, but it still pings me as if it is.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping all projects in one place with clear deadlines—and being able to see other people’s tasks that are relevant to you without having to ask where they’re at—is very beneficial for saving time. It’s also helpful to have access to the files and images teams have uploaded without needing to check multiple different platforms.

 ### 7. Asana Keeps Our Work Organized and Stress-Free

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jagdish D. | Team Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

What I like most about Asana is how simple and organized it makes everything feel. It’s very easy to track tasks, set deadlines, and quickly see who’s responsible for what without things getting messy. I also like having different views—like lists, boards, and timelines—so I can choose what works best for the way I’m working at the time. It helps keep the whole team on the same page, and overall it makes managing work feel a lot less stressful.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

What I dislike about Asana is that it can feel a bit overwhelming at times, especially when you’re dealing with large projects or too many tasks. The notifications can also get excessive if you’re part of multiple projects, which makes it easy to miss what actually matters. And while it’s powerful, some of the advanced features take time to figure out, so there’s a bit of a learning curve in the beginning.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana helps solve the problem of scattered communication and unclear task ownership. Before using it, it was easy for things to slip through the cracks, and people weren’t always sure who was responsible for what. With Asana, everything lives in one place—tasks, deadlines, and updates—which gives the whole team much better visibility.

For me, it’s especially helpful for staying organized and prioritizing what needs to get done. I can quickly check upcoming deadlines, track progress, and cut down on constant back-and-forth messages. Overall, it saves time, reduces confusion, and helps me stay on top of my work in a more efficient way.

 ### 8. Easy Task Tracking and Clear Team Visibility in Asana

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sumit T. | Quality Assurance Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I like how Asana keeps projects organized without feeling overwhelming. The timeline and task dependency features make it easy to see what needs to happen next and where delays might impact the team. I also appreciate being able to assign priorities, add comments directly within tasks, and keep all updates in one place instead of scattered across emails or chats.

The calendar and board views are both useful depending on the type of work I’m managing, and switching between them is seamless. Notifications are helpful without being excessive, which makes it easier to stay on top of deadlines. Performance has been reliable for our day-to-day use, and the pricing feels reasonable for the value it provides.

We haven’t explored many integrations yet, but the Slack and Google Drive connections look promising for improving collaboration. Setup was straightforward, and most of the guidance I needed was available through their help resources. I also haven’t had much opportunity to use the AI tools yet, but I’m interested to see how they evolve.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I haven’t really found anything to dislike so far, as it has delivered everything we expected it to.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us to keep track of work without things getting lost in chats or emails. It’s made it much easier to see who’s working on what, what’s pending, and what’s coming up next. Before using it, we used to follow up manually a lot more, but now everything’s in one place and way easier to manage.

 ### 9. Flexible To-Do Views and Easy Sharing, Though There’s a Learning Curve

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leanne L. | Director of Program & Evaluation, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I like that it differentiates to do's and I can view them how I prefer to see them. I also like that I can share a board with my supervisee and stay on track with what she's working on. I like having a to do list for myself and being able to reset items for a future date without losing site of a far off to do. The performance works for us. Pricing is affordable. We don't currently use any integrations, but perhaps an outlook integration would be something for me to look into. I found the onboarding support I needed online so far. I haven't used the AI functions at this point.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

There are a lot of moving pieces to figure out. Otherwise, I like it.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's providing clarity with my supervisee and helps me stay on track of projects we're working on together as well as my own to-do's.

 ### 10. Simplified Collaboration and Effective Tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Valérie G. | Directrice service conseil, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I appreciate the ability to filter tasks that allow me to see only what is important to me, which is much more convenient than a huge Excel file. I also like collaborating with other team members; I can assign tasks, comment, and easily keep them updated on the progress of projects. The centralization of information is also a major asset. It allows me to forget nothing and ensure that all projects are progressing correctly. The reminder of my daily tasks is very useful to ensure I follow the priorities.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

An overview of all ongoing projects across the different members of my team would be useful. Sometimes it takes a long time to create a large project and enter all the dates. I would like to be able to export only certain key milestones into my calendar.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Asana for tracking deadlines and project milestones, centralizing information, and collaboration. It allows me to see what is important to me and to easily assign tasks to my colleagues. It helps me be more efficient and spend less time making requests via email to my colleagues.
