What do you like best about Asana?

I have come to love Asana for its ability to save me time and keep me organised. Its easy-to-use interface is great for business teams that need a central platform to stay connected while quickly sharing files, tasks, updates and messages with their team members without spending money on other project management software solutions. Everything from assigning responsibilities to tracking progress can be done in one place, making it easy to collaborate across departments at any time from any device accessible to the programme's users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

I dislike the lack of comprehensive reporting and difficulty modifying existing master projects in Asana. It's difficult to accurately report on projects without a due date, so I think it would be beneficial for them to implement a metric system for regularly tracking updates. In addition, making changes or adding more work to ongoing projects should become easier with Asana's improved usability features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

With Asana, I can easily keep track of all tasks and communications for our team. This ensures that no project or task is overlooked, saving us both time and effort in staying organised. It also helps create accountability between team members, so nothing slips past them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think i don't have much to dislike about asans but one thnig which I don't like that it can get slow on the big projects and also it gives the two many notification. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

While I was looking for a new project management system, I test drove Notion, Trello, Google Tasks, UpNote, and others. They all have their strengths, but required quite a bit of tweaking and adjusting to make them work with our systems. I used Asana many years ago, and was hesitant to try it again. When I did (albeit reluctantly), I was blown away by the updates and features they've implemented since then. I was able to jump in with both feet and get up & running very quickly. I'm using the free version, and it works great for us! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

15 guest seats is quite generous for the free version, but I would love to be able to open it up to more. Working with both clients and volunteers means I may be interacting with over 100 people at any given time, but only for a few weeks each. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

Asana was very easy for me to pick up the basics on my own. I took this seminar to make sure I wasn't missing anything crucial. I really appreciated how focused Serina was in this seminar--she showed me how I could easily set up and use Asana right out of the gate. She and Meagan were very responsive to questions throughout the seminar. Most of the features I anticipate needing are available in the Free version, though at least one (Goals) is something I would consider spending money on. Since I've set up my account and platform, I've used it every single day. Very excited to continue to use it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

There is a slight learning curve for figuring out how to initially set up the platform in a way that is conducive for me personally. I probably spent about an hour in total learning how to set it up and inputting all of my tasks, projects, and related information that first day. Since then, I feel like I'm off and running, but I would suggest new users block off about an hour for that first set up, depending on how technologically savvy they are. What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

I have a lot of Projects I'm working on simultaneously. They are very detailed and each of them has a lot of moving parts. My regular task list was getting cluttered and disorganized because of this issue, so I wanted to find a platform that would help me categorize my tasks under which project they're related to, assign deadlines to make them actionable steps, and visually track my progress so I don't lose hope. I've only just started using the platform, so I'm not sure about long-term results. But I am very happy with how it's going so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

I like that it is fun to use, creating rules and tasks, assigning collaborators, entering your description of what a task means to you, and adding the functions for your own project but also for other teams' visibility.

I also like the forms that can be created and how engaging they are when used to transfer to a specific task. The connectors with other Apps like Salesforce or Slack are pretty cool and avoid the need to send emails when a task is completed. I self-learned doing the Asana training and specialist courses, which I love about Asana; they give you the tools to learn it on your own. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

That I cannot move forms from one project to another, please create that option! My team uses forms every day, an I get assigned tasks from these. So I will be using them with multiple projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Creating tasks based on email requests. I automated this process by creating a workflow that allows a team of 20 collaborators to share information with me. It saved me around 4 thousand minutes of task creation just in Q4 of 2024. I recommend this software 100% Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

Tracking our workflow and communicating amongst our team is easy. I'm managing more dynamic teams than ever this year, and Asana makes it easy to track progress on tasks and sub-tasks on a daily basis that are moving us towards our institutioanl goals.

I've loved taking trainings with folks like Devon and the Asana staff, who know how to make fun in stressful enviroments - that's great for helping me and my team feel comfortable, and that it's okay to make a mistake! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

The system is intimidating with all of it's functionality, but I'm working through that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Dependencies and timelines. We have a very young team and work in a hybrid enviroment so it's hard to convey the same sense of urgency to all teammembers at the same time. Visualizing these deadlines in Asana while highlighting everyones role in achieving our goals - that's a gamechanger. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

Easy-to-use interface: Asana's interface is easy to use and intuitive, which makes navigating the platform and performing specific tasks easier. Wide variety of functionalities: you can create and assign tasks, monitor task progress, collaborate in teams, and communicate with team members, among other things. This makes it an extremely versatile and useful tool for a variety of project types. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

What I find most difficult is being able to paste text into tasks, as it erases all the formatting and the text looks bad, which complicates things for me when I have tasks to copy and paste.

Personally, the way to delete tasks seems a bit tedious to me, since there are two buttons and it's not very intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps us at work to maintain relationships with all the teams. Integrations are useful: Collaboration and team communication are further improved by integrating with a variety of other tools and platforms, such as Slack and Google Drive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

I really like it because it offers a dynamic task management system that integrates deadlines, priority levels, and collaborative tools. The calendar and notification features ensure no deadlines are missed, and tasks are efficiently delegated across teams. Its intuitive interface makes task tracking straightforward, allowing attorneys and staff to focus more on client needs and less on administrative hurdles. I use it everyday and its really easy to use between coworkers and also it was really easy to integrate it with our law firm. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

Sometimes customizing workflows, tasks and navigating the system can be overwhelming, requiring significant time and effort to set up and master the tasks set up and the follow up dates but once someone spends time it gets easier to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a legal firm we handle case files, client records, and correspondence. A CRM must efficiently manage this high volume of data without compromising system speed or reliability. We found that is really easy to share documents and keep them with each client as its easier than having an outside folder with all the documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

It cuts down on distraction and keeps my team's work and communication about the work all in one place. It's one of the best collaborative workspaces I've ever used, and I find it equally useful for thinking through and organizing solo projects and tasks. It has been a gamechanger in our ability to be efficient when dealing with repetitive tasks; people love the happy unicorn that accompanies completing some tasks.

It's far more more easy to implement than it appears at first, due to the fact that it can accomodate various work styles - from kanban and calendars to projects and lists to "just show me my assigned tasks and let me get them done." We now use Asana every day and it is the foundation of all our work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

Because we previously used - and still use - so many other software tools, it took my team quite a while to get used to staying in Asana to focus on their work. That learning curve was worth it, though, especially since we have started setting up integrations, and know that customer support is there for us as we add more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Making sure no customer falls through the cracks while keeping our team cohesive despite team members belonging to multiple organizations and working from remote locations across the country. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

Asana has helped our organization be more efficient and productive with our time. We spend less time searching for things because we have it organized in projects for each of our teams. With the due date feature, we are able to stay on track with what needs to be accomplished. We also have more visibility into what are teams are up to, how work is progressing, and when we need to step in and help get something to the finish line. The ability for our employees to collaborate is also a major benefit. It's all organized into one location - no more conversations hidden in private chats! I also love that they are constantly providing updates and rolling out new and useful features. Asana has definitely become a staple in our business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

I do wish it was a little more affordable for small businesses. However, we are still going to pay for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

The biggest problem we had before is work being in too many places and not always having the visibility we needed to get work done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

Asana is very easy to use, intuitive for my team members who don't have tech backgrounds but need to start and contribute right away. It's our six-person org's collective "brain" that allows us to self-organize and move quickly. Implementation can be a little tricky if you don't have a good information architecture model or exposure to work-planning tools, but it's easy to find someone who can set it up for a small fee, too. Once configured, ongoing support needs are really minimal. We use it all day long, every day, managing everything from our own internal operations and marketing work through our marketing, sales, permitting, project management, build, and delivery process for construction. Integration with Google Drive & Gmail is simple, and provides even more efficient use of our tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

When we were tiny - 3 people - it was a lifesaver. We are now six, and expect this to be our full complement of staff for at least a couple of years. Asana does not allow us to buy six licenses - we had to buy 10. We tried to limp along with one sales person as a "Guest" - but that didn't work. So we've paid for 10 licenses, at an advanced tier to get the Portfolio and Rules features we depend on - but I'm actively scouting alternatives to move to if Asana doesn't change this policy. I'm a principal here, but also consult/contract with other businesses, and if they're also going to land at that "small, but not super-small" size, I warn them about the chasm that they'll hit with licenses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Asana handles all of our business coordination. We manage our strategy, operations, customer engagement (our CRM is really deficient for all but incoming referrals), design, permitting, and build with the tool. It lets us work with our barebones staff very efficiently and effectively. It's a huge factor in ensuring that we meet and exceed our customers' expectations, and in enabling us to work as a linked team without the need for a lot of meetings to coordinate (or worse - email!). We pass along those savings to our customers, which enables us to have very competitive pricing even for high quality products in a very competitive arena and market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
