What do you like best about Asana?

I have the ability to rank what is most important vs least important, and I love that I can create subtasks for each task. It's like having a task to do the laundry, but knowing you'll have to: Subtask 1 - fold the laundry, and Subtask 2 - put the laundry away. It's nice to be able to lay out specific sub tasks! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

I wish I was able to assign a task to more than one person for projects I'm working on with someone else. One person having all of the credit for a completed task is a little biased, and all the responsibility falls to the assignee rather than who is both equally responsible for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

I used to have papers and sticky notes everywhere to remind myself of small (and huge) tasks. With the help of Asana, I am able to keep everything in one place with due dates! I love that I can assign due dates and times! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

I love how Asana clearly organizes all of the tasks and projects that I am currently working on for my clients and for my personal use. I use it every day, and since it integrates directly with email, tasks can be generated directly from the inbox. Asana is so easy to use, and I have found that if tasks do not make it into Asana, they do not get done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

If it does not already exist, I would like to be able to generate tasks by sending or forwarding a text message similar to how emailing the x email address generates a task. I would also like to see the ability to add an automatic rolling due date to tasks so that tasks left incomplete by the end of the work day automatically roll into the next day if you set the due dats as such. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Asana keeps track of all tasks and projects that I have running at one time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

The basic features are simple and that's key to getting staff to buy-in to a tool like this. It's easy to understand and creates clarity across team members on what they should be working on. Support is great as there are a number of trainings, live workshops and more you can participate in. We use it daily for all of our non-profit work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

They add new functionality frequently (which is good) but the overall simplicity gets more convoluted once you start taking advantage of more features. I liked Asana when it was pretty barebones because of its simplicity and depending on the technical aptitude of your users, some may struggle. We've also become a little overzealous at times with adding too much into Asana and making it difficult to use but that is our own undoing and no fault of the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

We're a small team with a lot of various initiatives. Asana helps us manage timing, resources, due dates and collaborate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

Asana is the most efficient way to delegate and organize work tasks for small businesses. It allows for different types of projects and departments to work and monitor the work that is being done. Asana was also easy to use once we began its use years ago. I like the consistency that using Asana provides regarding discussing projects and goals for management meetings and there has been a considerable improvement in many areas of our company's efficiency due to Asana. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

The downsides of using Asana is the difficulty of relocating and finding certain tasks once they are deleted. It would also be great to have a large range of color palettes to choose from regarding the type of projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Asana is solving problems with work task delegation so the right projects are being worked on with the right people. Asana is solving problems with time management with the timelines set on projects and organizing what to prioritize. Asana is also solving the problem of meeting efficiency with more focused meetings with management. It is benefiting the small business we have in terms of saving time, resources, and projects focused in the right area. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

Asana is a lifesaver for me! I have so many things going on: my own business (membership site, blog, social

media, YouTube channel). I also help to run a kids football club and am in the midst of home renovations and planning major trips abroad. Asana helps me organise every element of my life so no task (however small) is ever forgotten. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

I often tell Siri to add a task to asana while in the car. As I can’t assign a date I tend to check recent tasks and forget about it! Can Siri learn to add a date for the task too?

I use the My Tasks > List view every day, but it’s frustrating that the tasks within sections aren’t in chronological order by time of day they need completing. it would be great to sort these. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

Extremely easy to integrate into what software we are already using. It makes a seamless tool to bring all of our software together. It creates efficiencies and allows me to see all of my teams tasks in one place. Our efficiency is through the roof and it helps relieve my teams stress and anxiety around complex projects. We use it every day and it couldn't be much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

Some of the functions could use a more obvious menu scheme. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Managing multiple competing priorities across a range of projects. Our work volume has increased dramatically, and our old methods of tasks management wasn't working. We all used different methods, we needed to consolidate into one format where we could see at a glance if we are on track. It dramatically cuts the number of emails and conference calls we have to generate saving us a lot of time. It also helps my more junior team members to prioritize based on impact and timelines. What do you like best about Asana?

Asana is amazing at keeping me organized with all of my clients. I love that I can set up recurring tasks, at the intervals that I need, to make sure nothing falls through the cracks. As my business grew, I knew I couldn't keep it all straight in my head. There was a slight learning curve, as with all softwares you aren't familiar with, but once you learn it, it is so user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

There really are no downsides to Asana. The only thing I would recommend to others is to get it and learn it BEFORE you need it. This gives you time to learn it and work with it before you are overwhelmed with other things. Once you get the hang of it, you will LOVE it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Keeping everything organized. I have multiple similiar tasks for all of my clients, but then they each have unique ones. I set up tasks as they come up for my clients and set the to reoccur so that they don't get missed. I have several important deadlines, and this ensures I don't miss them. What do you like best about Asana?

Asana has made it a lot easier to empower our team and eliminate the need for as much time spent on project management and planning throughout the organisation.

The team features are really great for empowering each of our departments to run their own internal projects how they want which helped for buy in as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

My main concerns are a lot of the best templating features are locked into the enterprise version, which does restrict the flexibility somewhat for our purposes. You’re also forced to pay for seats in sets of 5, and of course my team in 1 seat too many, so we pay for 4 seats we don’t use which sucks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have very diverse work across digital advertising, design, strategy, events and software development.

Asana’s rich feature set and flexibility helps us tailor different templates and structures to suit a wide variety of work functions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

Developing process process and workflow and communicating with others so that everyone of the team has a visibility and transparency into what's going on. You don't need to hack into somebody's email or their slack account to learn about information while they might be off sick or something like that you could just easily assign it to somebody else and move on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

I wish that Asana had a better ability to track financials. It's certainly not meant to do that, but it does it to a certain point. It would be great if it could do it more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use Asana for freelance approval forms and attract the freelancers financial projections, and then the actuals and then we can put the invoices in the task in the comptroller can review everything there. We also use it for every project and we find out the amount that's due on the invoice and the user approves that invoice amount before the accounts team send it out. What do you like best about Asana?

Its easy to use, and has a super friendly interface. Most importantly, you have really decent features even on the free version which means you can use it at work, and also switch to using it personally. The support from customer service has also been great and easy to find. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

The rules and automations can feel super complex. I had to do workflow training and watch lots of videos to even understand the basic level of automations. I wish that was a lot simpler, as it would a persons confidence in using the tool a lot quicker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Collaboration is the biggest problem Asana is solving. At the moment, we have multiple teams working on different platforms and in different places, this makes collaborating more difficult but also makes it harder to have an overview of where everyone is. We are moving to Asana to remove that aspect, but also be able to share resources, remove waste and have a clear view of where we need to improve our systems. What do you like best about Asana?

It's a great place to keep everything centralized as one source of truth for many people within my organization. Visually, I can quickly see what items are outstanding and when it's due. I'm new to Asana but would like to use this every day for my personal work to-do lists instead of a messy notebook. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

I don't have anything negative to say yet, and I don't feel comfortable listing things I dislike at the moment because chances are it's user error! I have a lot to learn, but this seems like it will be very beneficial. I've only recently been onobarded to the platform, but implementation went well. I'm working on integrating DropBox, but it is pending our system admin approval. Hopefully that will streamline the process and cut down on the number of applications I reference on a daily basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Asana is taking away my need for a messy notebook and endless spreadsheets and word documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
